Keith Creel's Garden Concepts

Company led by Keith Creel paid to build retaining wall (26" tall) and flagstone walkway. Material and delivery were supplied by me according to advise of Keith. I will list all critical mistake made by the company: 1. Start of work was delayed for 2 weeks on day-to-day bases. Sort of: "Sorry tomorrow, not tomorrow and so on". 2. Advise on amounts of material was completely wrong. Twice more flagstones, twice less stones for wall, 30% more pebbles, separate delivery of compactable gravel (additional cost). It is left on my drive way after work. Basically total mess that cost at least $800 in overpaid money and clean-up. 3. Retaining wall does not have compactable gravel as basement. This is a cardinal mistake.  4. Retaining wall does not have drainage. Basically, I have redone retaining wall myself; fixing all their mistakes. 5. Walkway bases should contain anti-weed fabric. It does not. 6. Compactable gravel should be deeper for stability. It is only 2". Twice less. 7. Therefore, walkway stones moved all over place. Needed again my fixing. However, it is temporary, since it is build wrong way.   8. Between flagstones filling was huge (1.5") pebbles, which are becoming lose when you walk on them. This design was advise again by Keith as a most appropriate. Basically, he does not know what types of filling between stones out there.  As a result, it is very unpleasant to use this walkway. All-in-all, no punctuality, lousy job, cutting corners all the time, relying on naivety of customers, probably does not know contemporary methods for building masonry structures, deliberate over-ordering flagstone to cherry-pick them and make his job easy. I have got impression that he knows exactly with which customer to behave this way.
