We called them to do some work but never called us back to see if we wanted to use them. We're disappointed with them. They have done work for me a long time ago and I thought they're reliable. I like the man; he was very, very nice. He gave us an idea how much it costs. We just want to see how they did but they never came. He did come on the day he said he would come.
Description of Work: I used the interior painting service of Honey-Do Husbands. They just gave us an estimate on painting the bedroom

Contacted Honey-Do Husbands on 9/1/04 and indicated that I had a couple of handyman jobs I needed done. The secondary job was to make repairs to some sheetrock that had been damaged by a leak in the roof. However, the primary job was to stop the roof leak. The total cost for the jobs was contracted to be $300 each. A total of $150 was paid up front for the first job. The first job (roof leak) started on 9/4/04. The contractor (Oscar) came out, climbed onto the roof with a bucket and brush, and began "painting" some sort of compound around the roof jacks. When he was done, he stated something to the effect of "That should do the job." In rebuttal, I stated that we won't know if it works, until we get another rainstorm. He indicated that it would be no problem ... Just call him back out, and he would redo the job if needed. The balance of $150 was requested and paid on 9/8/04. Early in October 2004, we got our next rainstorm. The problem had NOT been fixed, so we called the contractor back out. He came back out on 10/4/04 and did the exact same thing he did the last time. I asked him what would happen if this did not fix the problem either. He indicated that the work was guaranteed, and that he would keep coming back out until the problem WAS fixed. Our next rainstorm did not occur until 10/20/04. As expected, the roof still leaked. Called Oscar once again, to come out and fix the roof leak yet again. Soon after that, the "Owner" of the company (Eric) notified us that Oscar had been "let go" and that there would be no more visits to fix the roof leak. When I inquired about the $300 I paid to "fix the roof leak," Eric indicated that the roof WAS fixed, and that they did what was contracted. I reminded him that if the roof was fixed, I would not have a leak. He then attempted to change his tactic, and indicated that the roof jacks were sealed, as contracted, and that there was nothing else that they were obligated to do. I retorted with the fact that if the jacks were indeed "sealed" as he claims, they would not be leaking. Additional attempts to contact Honey-Do Husbands in the following weeks/months were unfruitful. They refused to return any calls. Needless, to say, I did not ask them do the second contracted job of sheetrock repair on my house, nor did they offer. Fast forward to July 2009 ... To this day, I still have the leaky roof jacks, due to this experience. Professional roofing companies only want to replace the whole roof, and Honey-Do Husbands has soured my opinion toward "non-job specific" contractors (handymen). At this late date, I do not expect Honey-Do Husbands to make things right again, because if they were ever going to, they would have done so already. Not to mention the fact that I wouldn't let them step one foot into my house. I am writing this report, to simply offer fellow Angie's Listers an insight into what they might come to expect from this company. I hope they've change

Brandon McCormick tracked mud into my house. They didn't finish painting the gutters, didn't do any primer application, and didn't sand anything. He was not punctual, did not clean up well, got over spray all over the place. He didn't do the job that he was contracted for. I was foolish to have paid him the second half of the money for the job.
Description of Work: They painted the entire exterior of our home. We paid half of the price up front.

They never showed up on time, if they did show up. The leak is still there and they finally admitted they couldn't fix it. The worst experience I've ever had working a company.
Description of Work: They put in a patio roof. There was a leak, and they replaced the roof with inferior type plastic. After the first hail storm, there was a hole in it.

It took seven weeks from the time I gave them a 50% downpayment until they finished the work. One week of that was due to the initial scheduling. A number of days they did not show up and didn't even call. Communications were very poor. We had to call them to find out why they didn't come. The workers did a good job when they showed up and were responsive on the job site.
Description of Work: Painted inside and outside of my 2,800 sq.ft. house. Included some minor repair work to window sills etc.

Honey-Do Husbands was well worth calling. They did a great job on my walls as there are no streaks in the paint at all. I feel that they were definitely worth every penny that they charged. They didn't miss a spot and made sure all the mess was cleaned up.
Description of Work: They painted the whole inside of my home.

Honey-Do Husbands were real nice people. I thought that my gutters were broken. Come to find out, they were only clogged with junk and only needed to be cleaned. I would hire them again. I don't remember what the cost was.
Description of Work: They cleaned the gutters on my home that were clogged. They also put in a garbage disposal in my kitchen.

Honey-Do Husbands did a horrible job. First of all, they took all day to do it. They did such a poor job installing it that it wobbled every time it went in around. I noticed it right away. They were rude about it, so I just called the management. It took three or four times of them trying to fix it, for me to realize that they couldn't fix it.
Description of Work: They were supposed to put in a Vanity ceiling fan in our living room.

Honey-Do Husbands was great. They were very nice when they were here. We were very happy with the quality of work that they did. They were recommended to us and we will recommend them to anyone. I don't remember the cost to have it done.
Description of Work: They put a wooden picket fence around the front of our house.
