This is my third post so I will not review old details. However, I did just have to have the electrical work redone in the garage Mr. Holloway built. It was not only not done to code, it was not safe. The cost was approximately $1500. The garage floor has shifted, cracked, and is very uneven to the point the doors stick and the joint tape in the corners of the walls is separating. I was told by Mr. Holloway's workers that he poured the foundation himself instead of have the foundation sub-contractor do it. There remains a mechanic's lien on my property, placed by the subcontractor who poured the driveway because Mr. Holloway did not pay him even though I had already paid Mr. Holloway. I occasionally see Mr. Holloway and he has made no attempt to correct any of his deficient work, pay off the lien, or help me defray the cost of repairs. He declared bankruptcy but I'm told he still solicits work.
Description of Work: Made structural repairs and painted my house. Built a 2 car garage with workroom. Installed front walkway and driveway. Installed gutters. Rebuilt my front porch.

I have used them before to build a fence, and they did a really nice job. It took them about three days to finish the job. They are very good and their prices are good too. I will be using them soon for a bigger project than the ones they usually take up.
Description of Work: I used Holloway Enterprises to build a deck that was 6x14 feet.

First off, the owner was a friend of mine who talked a good game and I trusted completely. I initially thought he did a good job on the structural repairs and painting but now there are areas where the paint is peeling. He didn't use primer. Some wood repairs are not aligned because one was put on upside down. He rebuilt my large wooden front porch, but the guys who built it, unbeknownst to me, weren't carpenters and the boards are separating on the porch. He had to rebuild 2 plant platforms flanking the stairs. He repainted them a different shade of gray so I have a two tone porch. He said he would fix it, but told his workers not to. The trim is coming off again and they need to be repaired. The workers were careless with my plants and as a result my huge agave which was blooming died and they broke a rose vine down to the ground. The gutters were bent and jammed together instead of using the bands to connect them and many need to be replaced. A few months later I had him build a garage with a large workroom. I know, I know, how dumb can you be? I noticed his workers digging and laying rebar used my garden tools and someone stole my wheel barrel and a couple of shovels. He never offered to replace them. When it came time to pour the concrete, he did it himself instead having the concrete sub-contractor do it. I didn't know this until it was finished. The carpenter and crew did a good job building the structure except he did not put in the type cabinets he was supposed to. He did not use primer on the garage floor before painting and the paint immediately started peeling. He took my original garage door, which was in very good shape and never paid me for it like he said he would. He also took an antique window I wanted and never returned it. He did not place an outside electrical outlet where he said he would but said he couldn't because he was going to build flower boxes in the same area. He never did. The workroom window leaks and one of the door locks won't work. He had the final inspection before he did the plumbing and I found out he planned not to meet code requirements. He ran out of money and never did the plumbing. The payment plan was 50% down and 50% on completion. He needed several thousand dollars during construction and I gave it to him. He denied having financial problems and as a friend, I believed him. He never satisfied the contract and tells me he is out of money though I've paid my part. The driveway company, Express Contract Contractors, is just as bad and placed a lien on my home when Bill did not pay them though I paid him. I will address them in another post. Bill stopped answering his phone and it took days to get my storage pod delivered because they couldn't reach him either to release it. I've talked to Bill in person several times and he refuses to help saying he's out of money . I am suing him. He said he was quitting the business but he didn't. Beware.
Description of Work: In early 2009 he made structural repairs and painted my 100 year old house. He built a garage, cut down, a large tree to put in a concrete driveway and sidewalks. Instead of replacing areas of rotten wood on my house as he was paid to do, the wood was just painted over and is so rotten now that if you press it with your finger it just sinks in. This isn't just poor quality work, it's fraudulent to not even perform the job you were paid to do. The garage foundation is crumbling on the side such that the rebar is showing. I'm told that it was not sealed as it should have been. At least that may be a simple fix that won't be too expensive. The driveway developed several through-and-through cracks which I am told cannot be repaired. Though his work was supposed to be warranted for a year Bill has declared bankruptcy and is protected from any action I might take to recoup some of my money. I still have a lien on my house because BIll did not use the money I paid him to pay his subcontractor. I have to accept that Bill took advantage of me and it will cost me thousands of dollars to do the work he was supposed to do as well as accept my part in allowing him do it. What I fear now is what type problems are going to develop in the future. It's an ongoing nightmare.

They did an outstanding job. They did excellent carpentry work. They finished the job on time and did what they said they would. They did everything that I expected of them and they also reduced the price for me. They also cleaned the lawn. I had custody of my neighbor?s house and as part of my fence work there was a lot of waste. They cleaned that also, when the left the yard was clean. They also did some extra work that I asked them to do. My neighbors complimented them for the job they did. I got to know about them through the internet.
Description of Work: They put fence around my yard this month.
