Description of Work: They installed the laminate floors and they were making cracking noises when you walked on the floors; and the owner came out, and someone from the flooring company came out, and they ended up replacing my floors but it went on for two or three months, and the installation company and flooring company wasted time blaming each other instead of replacing the floors right away. They sent out a different installer for the replacement, and I was disappointed with the messy work they did. I wasn’t too pleased with them and I wouldn’t call them back. They really should have worried about satisfying the customer first and they are reputable company but I just wasn’t impressed with this particular service.

Description of Work: Several years ago we had Hicks install carpet throughout our home. We were very pleased with their professionalism and so when we recently had a water leak we immediately thought of them to come take care of the carpet repairs. I'm often struck by what a small fish I am in a big pond so imagine my surprise when the folks at Hicks (Carlton) remembered who we were when we called. Carlton made adjustments to his schedule and came to the house the very morning we called. We were concerned that the carpet had been damaged and that mold would be a problem. Carlton assured us the carpet was fine and that he would send a crew to lay it back down. This turned out to be a rather small job but as soon as the carpet had dried, a crew arrived to put it back in place. It would be hard for me to imagine a more professional company for my flooring needs.

They provide quality carpets and superb craftsmanship. I have not had a single problem and I don't expect any problems.

+ 0 moreWe have been hiring Hicks for years, and they have always done an excellent job. Their work ethic is top notch, and they are willing to work around our schedule. The installation took only one day, and they cleaned up all the refuse from the house. The tile is level and smooth, and the carpet is laid tight, which makes it very easy to clean. I'm certain we will be hiring them again.

+ 0 moreThe flooring was installed in great time, they were real quick with their work and it was an excellent job. We did not have any problems with the flooring at all. They used a lift to raise the furniture from one area to another while completing the work.

We continue to call them when the carpeting needs replacing and everything is always right the first time. I trust Hicks, as they are very honest, professional people who take pride in their work. I am a repeat customer and we get some extra special pricing when we are buying new carpeting from them.
Description of Work: I had four new carpets installed by Hicks a few months ago and they removed the old ones first.

+ -1 moreHicks Carpet One impressed us with the way they did everything possible to make us happy. We were very satisfied. The installation was very smooth and there are no flaws. One problem that we did have was that the carpet was defective. It was the wrong shade of color. They contacted the manufacturer and got new carpet and installed in all over again without question. The new carpet was still not the right shade, so they gave us a healthy refund on it. We felt very good about the way we were treated.
Description of Work: They laid carpet in three rooms and a hallway in our home.

+ 0 moreIt took the workers about a week to complete the entire job. Unfortunately, there were quite a few flaws. On the carpets, tacks were visible and some of the carpet came loose which they had to come back and re-stretch. As for the tiles, some of the grout came loose, a few tiles cracked, and when they finally came back to re-grout as needed, they used a different shade of grout, and charged us for the second visit.
Description of Work: Hicks installed carpeting upstairs and tile downstairs - a total of about 1850 square feet.

+ -1 moreHicks Carpet One did a fine job on all of our carpet. The crew that came out was very nice and respectful of my home. I do not remember the price however I do know that it was fair. I will definitely use them again because the carpet turned out great and the installation was one of a kind.
