Hernandez Tree Service

My family and I were looking into obtaining a tree service company to plant trees and build a patio in the backyard of our residence. We came across Rudy Hernandez's Tree Service and he came out to give us an estimate. Estimate seemed somewhat pricey but we were wiling to pay the amount since we thought we were getting an experienced and reliable landscaper. Soon thereafter, we put the deposit down, which was half of the service on the invoice. A few days later, he was out in our yard doing the work as we had discussed. His employees and him built the patio, mediocre at best, not anything like the pictures he had showed us, and very little quality for the price we had paid. Next step was to plant the trees and install the sprinkler system. Mr. Hernandez dropped some of the trees off at our residence and stated that he would be back with his sprinkler subcontractor the next morning to install the sprinkler and transplant the trees. That is the last time we had ever heard from him. We paid for the patio, which we got, even though it was very poor quality. We are out a few hundred dollars since we paid for some of the trees we never received. We have attempted to contact Mr. Hernandez on several occasions to complete the project and resolve this issue. He has been non-responsive and has left our backyard in disarray. I do not want anyone else to go through what we have endured. Not only have we lost money on the services we paid, but we also have to deal with the inconvenience of tracking down another tree service company to complete the project he never intended on finishing. We thought we were supporting a small and local tree service business by allowing him to do our yard but this has been nothing short of a disappointment and a headache.

This guy is GREAT!!! I have used big named tree services, and more expensive ones in the past, but Mr. Hernandez is the BEST. His cost was ONE HALF the estimates I had been given. Not only was he punctual, professional and left the yard neat and clean, he actually KNEW ABOUT TREES (many years of work for major tree companies). He is very personable. He is very professional when he comes out to evaluate what needs to be done. He was good about taking the health of the tree and the safety of my home into consideration. He is willing to do as much or as little as I want him too. He does not pressure me into any work. He always does the work quickly. The only downfall is that it can be hard to get a hold of him. There have been several occasions where we have played phone tag.
