Hendrick Quality Craftsmanship

It went well. The island is beautiful and was built per our specifications. The stain was slightly lighter than I expected but it was built very well. It did cost much more than we expected.

Quality of craftmanship was excellent as well as the installation. Cabinets were carefully installed and LEVEL. The granite countertop men that came in behind the cabinet installation were impressed with the quality of work and the cabinets being level for their install. Positive attitude, courtesy, and honesty!! If they ran into an issue with from existing conditions they addressed it properly. I highly recommend this contractor!

Philip did an excellent job of matching the existing bathroom vanity and installing 20+ ShelfGenie pull out drawers in our kitchen. He knows what he is doing and does it well. He is a nice person, pleasant to visit with while doing his work. He comes out after the work has been planned by ShelfGenie to get detailed measurements for ShelfGenie to build from. He receives the completed order from ShelfGenie and does the installation. It took him just a day to do our complete installation. He is organized, efficient, and very thorough with his clean up. He vacuums inside each cabinet and pull out shelf as he completes his work. We recommend Philip (Hendrick Quality Craftsmanship) and will use him should we have future need for cabinet work. Note: the cost of service below was his charge for converting the knee space in the bathroom vanity to take 4 ShelfGenie drawers. The cost of installing the ShelfGenie pull out shelves in the kitchen was included in the ShelfGenie cost.

He is phenomenal. He is very detailed. He is very clean and picks up at the end of each day. He is prompt, very honest and offers a great price.

He came out immediately and we discussed what I wanted. I liked his ability to see what I wanted and draw it up. He built most of the cabinet in his shop and they brought it here and installed it. This minimized the amount of time they had to spend in the house. It did get delayed, but he does beautiful design work. It is gorgeous! He and his workmen were very professional and I never found a speck of dust after they left. Everything is exactly how I wanted it. You wouldn’t even know that it wasn’t there originally! The cabinet is perfect and the slate counter top is perfect, you can't even tell where they had to extend it. His work is beautiful! He also built a linen closet, cubbies in my laundry room, and installed shelving in the garage. The work was wonderful for these projects as well and exactly how I wanted them.

They did a wonderful job. They did a great job. He was really willing to work with my designs. He kind of came in and gave me ideas and then he drew them up. I kind of changed them and he was very receptive to that. They were great to work with and the cabinets turned out beautiful. I know the price was good. They were really good about getting back to me. I am trying to think of another project for them.

We had Phil come out and give us estimates for a new set of kitchen cabinets. We were still thinking through our options and had met with several people on the cabinets. He helped us with several decisions such as what style of wood, traditional or frameless, door styles, etc. I found his advice very practical and straight forward. He wasn’t trying to sell us anything and he was able to stay very objective as he has seen many kitchens. My wife was uncertain at first, she wanted to go with a big box store as she felt it was more predictable. However, Phil had such a great way about him. I felt that I could trust that he would do what he said he could do. So we gave him the work. He was very clear on the timing of the job. He was running about 8 weeks out and had just hired more people to help him. He gave us some updates along the way as we were waiting for our turn to come up. The payment plan was discussed up front and I knew when I needed to pay for what. The contract was concise and direct and I appreciated its brevity. Along the way he came out and brought us a sample door in our style and color so that we could go to the granite yard and double check it against the granite we had picked out. I was very thankful for this. It helped is ensure that we got all the colors right. Phil clearly communicated any changes to the schedule, there needed to be a few based on his workload. When install day came I was impressed with the quality of the work. They were all shrink wrapped and protected against the ride over and made it here perfectly without any scratches or dings. Before I talk more about the install, a little about me. I am an amateur woodworker. I have built several sets of cabinets before for other people and other parts of my house. I know how I like it done and I am very picky about things in my house. I have a strong sense of attention to detail and I won’t let anything go that’s not up to snuff. Now for the install. The install started on a Tuesday and progressed well according to plan. I needed the granite guys to come out on Wednesday at noon to measure for the granite fabrication. Phil was very confident the whole that that we would make that time and he did. There were a few issues with the install however when I pointed them out to Phil and his helper Ray they were extremely accommodating. I never got any attitude or push back, they wanted it to be as perfect as I did. Phil even proactively mentioned a problem: “I want to tell you about this problem before you tell me about it, I found it, I will fix it”. I was super impressed. I love that they are clearly concerned about their work. They stand by it as if it was their reputation on the line. I have worked with several contractors who don’t care and were just trying to finish as fast as possible and move on to the next thing. I felt that Phil really wanted it to be right, not just to complete the job. It was not rushed and I was very happy with the end result. In short, I would recommend Hendricks Quality Craftsmanship to my neighbors, my coworkers and my family. I thought they did a great job on the build and installation of new cabinets. Additionally when there were issues (and there always are when dealing with a project this large) they dealt with them professionally and thoroughly to so that I was completely satisfied with the end result.

They have already shown me everything. It has been an excellent experience so far. I like what he is making for me and I like the product that I am getting. They brought out a lot of samples for me to choose from, excellent quality wood. We wanted the wood to match the rest of the house. They will be installing them next week.

Read super reviews on Angie's List so I called. Very nice, came out and gave an estimate which was very reasonable and even did a drawing for me. After lots of thought and some budget review I couldn't afford. I needed to go with a different dand eacute;cor.

Mr. Hendrick responded to my call immediately. He showed up for the estimate as scheduled. He was kind and professional. It is evident that Mr. Hendrick takes pride in his work and works hard to take care of his business and family. His bid was fair so we accepted. After receiving the deposit, he did inform us that it would be several weeks before he could start. We accepted. Although, it ended up being longer than expected before he was able to start, he always kept us updated and always returned calls and texts. The work turned out beautifully. He even came back several weeks later (even after he was paid in full) to install the hardware that we should have had when he was ready. It was our resonsibilty to get the pulls and knobs. the kitchen looks like a completely new and beautiful kitchen. Pictures to come.

I encountered Mr. Hendrick while browsing Angies List and gave him a call. He responded promptly, came to the job site and took measurements and gave us a price right there. He showed an exemplary professionalism, courtesy, and he was extremely detail oriented. He made custom cherry wood cabinets for our new kitchen, master bathroom, secondary bathroom, half bathroom, and a utility room. Mr. Hendrick does a very precise and a very meticulous job! His pricing is very reasonable! As a matter of fact we hired him again to make custom furniture for our loft / media room. My husband and I would recommend Mr. Hendrick in a heartbeat! He is a jewel!

Built and installed beautiful birch wood drawers for my kitchen with new rails. It was a difficult job as the drawers were job laid years ago and were off kilter. The job was done professionally and correct. The carpentry work is superb--everything meets and joins with precision. I had my cabinets refaced by another company a while back and the insides of my kitchen drawers were old and rickety--really couldn't take all the jarring from refacing, I think, plus my old rails had to come off to get the new facings; the old same rails were put back on, and not in the correct order/same spots--recipe for disaster--none of them ever opened up smoothly ever again. Hendrick Quality Craftsmanship saved the day by building new drawers with new rails. This really completed the kitchen the way I wanted it to be. I spend a great deal of time reaching for tools and pots and pans in my kitchen and I am now able to enjoy the drawers gliding open smoothly. Hendrick has reason to take pride in his craftsmanship. We met Mr. Hendrick through his association with Shelf Genie products (for whom he did an excellent installation job). We hired him to install a MirrorMate frame-another excellent job. Also, he constructed a drawer front from scratch that turned out exactly as he designed and planned and refinished a large wall hanging cabinet that looks better now that it ever did! He is pleaseant, prompt, efficient, and works at a fair price. We highly recommend him and his work!

Dealing with this company was a pleasure from start to finish. Mr. Hendrick arrived at our home exactly when promised (a week earlier) to get our ideas and show us some different options for what we wanted. He took his time and answered all of our questions thoroughly. After agreeing on the work to be done, Mr. Hendrick came out the following week to complete the project. Again, he arrived exactly when promised and finished the work a few hours later. Highly professional and meticulous, he didn't leave until everything was just perfect! I am extremely pleased with the outcome and would gladly refer Mr. Hendrick to anyone in need of quality woodwork!

We met with Philip Hendrick, from HQC, in hopes to rescue a project in our kitchen that wasn't quite turning out as we expected. He worked diligently with us to get our details perfect. He worked out each issue and concern patiently and offered suggestions and input when we needed his expertise. We have him add many different touches to our kitchen that really helped finish off our existing cabinetry. We are very pleased to have worked with someone who has obvious pride and passion for his work.

Phil Hendrick was hired to build the additional cabinets that we needed in the kitchen. He spent a lot of time getting to know us and what we thought that we wanted. He then made some rough drawings and presented them to us - but he then started to make some suggestions about the layout that we had thought we wanted, the size of the cabinets, and other items. This process was repeated a couple of times. We asked for several unique items (including an oversized pantry, a table, a bench for setting, and a breadbox), he was able to incorporate all of these items into the design without spoiling the layout of the kitchen. In the end, we ended up with a much more than kitchen cabinets. We now have beautiful furniture across the walls that we are extremely proud of, and that we are very happy with. I can not say enough about the preformance, professionalism and work of this individual. He did a wonderful job, and I would hire him again in a minute. Thanks you for all that you did - it really looks wonderful.

The next week, Philip Hendrick (of Philip Hendrick Quality Craftsmanship) came out to take exact measurements of our cabinets for the finished product. Philip was also very courteous and respectful of our home. The product was then ordered, it takes about 4 weeks for the finished product to be delivered.Philip came out to our home to install the finished glide-outs and did an excellent job. He is very personable and is the kind of sub-contractor you want in your home. The end result was great. He is not intrusive, took pride in his work and cleaned up after himself. I would certainly call Hendrick Quality Craftsmanship for future projects in my home.
