Mr. Finigan was paid a total amount of $16,450.00. With $5,850.00 of that going to a subcontractor for tree, shed and wall removal. $1,200.00 was paid to a sub for digging of the footer. Mr. Finigan incorrectly read the engineering plan for the footer and it cost an additional $1,200 for his error. $1,950.00 was paid to the insurance company which he was reimbursed when we told him we were not going to use him for construction. An additional $1,985.00 was paid to the city of Olmos Park for a building permit on 9/9/09. As of 12/09 Mr. Finigan went to the city and was refunded $1,500 of that permit. Luckily all subs were paid. However, I have not been reimbursed for any of the monies refunded to Mr. Finigan. If you deduct the $8,250 paid to the subs out of the $16,450 I paid Mr. Finigan I am owed $8,250. He refuses to give me this money. We would like to pay Mr. Finigan for what little time he spent on this project. But I find it comical that he has pocked more that the removal of the wall in which he supervised. Thus he made approximately a 100% on a job that was all labor and no material. Stay away from this guy he is a theif.
Description of Work: Mr. Finigan was hired to construct a wall at the back of our property and a pool house which consisted of a 2 bedroom 1 bath upstairs with a garage down. The bid came in way too high so we downsized. The second bid was still too high so we decided that we would not be able to construct the pool house. We did however tear down the old wall and two sheds. A footer was dug for the stucco wall based on an engineering plan that I had done.
