+ 1 moreThe estimate was 1000.16, he was only suppose to give me an estimate on the air conditioner, but he want ahead and fixed it, and then billed me another 780.00 without consulting me first. I did not want him to fix it right now.
Description of Work: To remove some sheet panels off of the building.

+ 3 moreGary is an extremely experienced Carpenter and Electrician. He takes pride in satisfying his customers, and his work is superior. My goal was to take the and quot;trackand quot; out of track home, and Gary understood my vision. He is so easy going and pleasant, and never rattled by my last minute ideas or changes. His carpentry skills are outstanding, all cuts are perfectly mitred, nail holes filled, and caulked by a professional. His quote was competitive, I couldn't be happier with the finished job. I've got some plumbing work to be done next, and Gary will be the only handyman I will call. I recommend Gary Allder without any reservations.

+ -1 moreGary has all the tools he needed for both jobs. He explained what he was going to do and stuck to his plan. He was patient to explain what he was doing if I stuck my head in and asked.
Description of Work: This was the second time we used Gary. The first time was to level a patio roof that had been pushed upward by a large tree root. The 4x4 vertical post carried a heavy load, so Gary had to devise a system of braces that would allow him to cut 3" off a 4x4 and then gently lower the cross member onto the shortened post. The second time (10 months later) the issue reappeared. Gary repeated the post shortening again, then used a Sawzall to cut out a 2 foot section of the 5"diameter oak tree root. Problem solved permanently. On this visit, Gary also rebuilt an exterior door jamb leading to the garage.
