January 27/2020, a woman, Soumeng Heng, came and gave my husband and I an estimate for caulking tub at $25.00 and caulking shower at $150. And caulking of another shower. It included other work on the floor, sealing, grouting. Then, the COVID-19 surge of essential business work interrupted everything so that the scheduled work was not done. I emailed Soumeng Heng and indicated I wanted to proceed. The governor now opening things up and my getting the first vaccine shot at least, but all of us wearing masks and I a shield and social distancing. I asked, "Hi, can you please put us on the schedule for the showers for now. We will wear masks and be in another room, opening the door, so your worker can be alone, but he also wears a mask. Are you willing to do that?" She didn't answer my emails. I called and she didn't return my calls. After putting the job on Angie's List, Mr. Flores came by, a very kind and affable fellow. He said he would give a military discount, but raised the price to $265 total for the tub and shower grouting, including a separate $90 for cleaning up. But Soumeng Heng told me that cleaning up that molded part with the spray and taking up the old caulking then re-caulking was part of the job, not extra separated for each thing. Besides, Mr. Flores raised caulking itself from $150 on the original estimate we had accepted by email to $175. When I mentioned by email that my husband wanted no more than $200 or $150 for caulking the shower and $25 for the tub in the one bathroom, or $200 each bathroom, where the other he doesn't even have to caulk the tub, a very generous offer considering it was originally less, Soumeng Heng rejected me as a customer, stating in her email, "No problem. We appreciate your consideration." I gave a one star because the company did not abide by promises to do the work we agreed to for the original agreed upon price, knowing that it was due to COVID-19 that we could not proceed at the time. I think the company should not have sent the invitation to me on Angie's list if they really didn't want me as a customer at the price we agreed upon in the first estimate. On March 25, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. I emailed Soumeng Heng "Due to Covid 19 cancel Tuesday and reschedule when emergency is over." She responded at 5;15 p,m., "Will do Mrs. Bellin. Stay safe, talk to you soon. All the best," signed David Flores Grout Doctor of San Antonio.
