Description of Work: G L Hunt came out twice. This was the second visit as we had some additional concerns about lifting the corner of our sunroom. We had also talked to 4 other foundation companies, but got several different opinions as to what should be done and how to do it. Kinny came out and gave us the best explanation of what should be done and also recommended that we get an analysis from a structural engineer. As it turns out, we do not need the foundation lifted after all. Kinny was very helpful, soooo nice and led us to the right solution, saving us money as well. If we ever do need a foundation lifted, he will be my first and only call. Thanks Kinny.

Description of Work: Daniel from G.L.Hunt arrived not only on time, but early which I appreciated. After going throughout my house and letting me explain my concern, Daniel jumped in and went in and out of the house to make measurements and do his evaluation. Afterwards we sat down and he explained to me that I had very little movement and while he could write me an estimate for mitigation, he suggested that my money would be better spent with someone to divert water away from my foundation. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism very much! These guys are a class act and will not sell you something you don't need. Highly recommend and suggest you ask for Daniel R, Field Tech!

Description of Work: G.L.Hunt put in 10 piers to repair the foundation of my home. The crew was punctual and completed the work in a day. They also removed and replaced the window and door caulking in the affected areas and did a very good job of cleaning up. I would highly recommend this company and use this provider again in the future.

Description of Work: I was having problems with water getting under my house. They did not have any constructive suggestions. When I ask if gutter work and longer down spouts would help they said "maybe "and took 3 weeks to finally give me a bid which was several thousand dollars! I finally had the job don by another professional for less than one thousand dollars. It seemed to me that if it was not a very large job they were not interested.

Description of Work: I had a concern that we might have foundation issues in the future. Daniel came out and looked at our house, told me that there were no current issues and that there was a possibility that there may be issues in the future. To avoid repairs he took time to go over different strategies to prevent the damage. All of this was done at no charge. He even took baseline foundation measurements for future comparison. Great service. Seemed very competent.

You don't often find a company that will be that honest with you. We will definitely use them in the future if the need arises.

Description of Work: I purchased an evaluation/inspection of our foundation from Angies List. When I contacted the company to schedule an appointment, they were very friendly and we were able to schedule an appointment quickly. They called to confirm the appointment and showed up early. Daniel was our technician and he was fantastic. He did a great job of explaining everything, taking measurements and letting us know all the facts. I would highly recommend them and would use them again. They are very professional and prompt and very good.

Description of Work: We had the GL Hunt company fix the foundation of our house using 9 steel piers (luckily we didn't need the entire foundation worked on). Our initial contact was with Mr. D. Roden who explained the proposed work very well and provided a bid that was reasonable and competitive. The work crew, supervised by Mr. T. Leffew, actually arrived the afternoon before they were scheduled. They called us when they completed another project and asked if we minded if they started early. Once they arrived, the entire crew was all business. They worked steadily from start to finish and cleaned up the area very well after they were done. Mr. Leffew also was careful to provide us with clear explanations of each step of the process. He supervised a very efficient crew. All of the crew members worked hard the entire time they were here. They completed the work within the time frame that they had estimated and told us we were now part of the "Hunt" family and to call if we have any problems. Following completion of the work, we recieved a call from Mr. Roden to see if we were satisfied with the work. We highly recommend this company. They were excellent!!

Description of Work: I thought I might have a foundation problem, so I called G.L. Hunt Foundation Repair. They sent out Daniel Roden, Field Technician. He arrived actually early (which was good for me), came in explained that he would be using his equipment to measure the levelness throughout the house and after he would provide a written report and explain what he found. After the completion of his measurements we set down and he provided me with a booklet and explained that my home has shifted somewhat but that his measurements were well within the standards and that I did not need any repairs. What a wonderful New Year's present. Daniel was very informative on maintenance and watering around the foundation and said if I had any questions to please call him. I found him to be very professional and very honest. I would positively recommend him and G.L.Hunt Foundation Repair to all my friends and anyone else that needs a foundation repair company.

Description of Work: We called G.L. Hunt Company because we thought we had a foundation issue. The brick on one corner of our house had cracks through the brick. Daniel arrived right promptly at 10:00 A.M. and quickly analyzed the situation and reassured me that we did not have the dreaded foundation problem which we had feared we had. To further ease my fears Daniel did a check inside the house looking for sheetrock cracks that were not the result of normal settling and then used equipment to determine foundation movement. Then we sat down and he went over the results saying the numbers in the survey were all within normal ranges. He then told me to talk with an arborist to determine if the break in brick is due to a root issue and then check with a brick mason to see if there are missing brick ties and have the mason repair the brick. Daniel spent about 45 minutes at our home and there was no charge. We will tell our friends about G.L. Hunt and their honest employees. It was nice to see employees arrive who are clean cut, prompt, prepared, courteous and wearing a shirt with the company logo.
