+ -1 moreMs Hancock-Gamez is structural engineer and I chose her because she is not connected with a slab repair business. She also has good ratings here. She was very professional and thorough. Her findings indicated minor shifting due to soil type and weather but no break in foundation. Very glad I contacted her for an unbiased assessment.

Description of Work: Sara did a structural evaluation of my property. Sara was so great and was competitively priced. Other companies wanted to charge me much more and were also going to take longer to get their report back to me. She was so great on the phone (I was already stressed out that I needed this done), was available almost immediately and was able to work with my schedule. I had more questions before she arrived and she was always very nice, prompt and professional when answering them. I received the report only 3 days after she had done the evaluation. I would hire again in an instant and recommend her to anyone.

+ -1 moreShe gave me very sound drainage advice, identified problems that three foundation companies missed, and identified work that was proposed that did not need to be done. She is fantastic. Don?t start a project without her or someone like her.
Description of Work: Sarah Hancock-Game came out after I had already contracted foundation work. I cannot tell you how hard I wish I had done it the other way around. She came again 8 months later. I had a horrible problem with water under a my house while foundation work was getting done. It was a period of significant flooding in the city. I was desperate to find a effective solution to my problem. Sarah properly diagnosed the problem.

+ -1 moreSarah walked the whole home, inside and out, notating different evidence of movement. I also saw her walking every room in the home feeling out the movement beneath her feel. She then used her engineering surveying type equipment including a giant measurer to physically measure the movement of the foundation from one part of the home to another. She can tell you the soil types in the area of the home, the exact distance (example 1.5 inches) the foundation has moved, and whether or not there is a need for repairs. She has saved my clients deals, and the sellers tens of thousands in unnecessary repairs.
Description of Work: Sarah Hancock-Gamez took measurements of the elevation(foundation) on 2 homes where my clients(buyers) were concerned that there may be foundation failure, which could mean the home needed costly foundation repairs.
