+ -1 moreThey were excellent. The guy that came in told me what the problem was, explained the whole thing and fixed it. He was very professional. He was also very polite. It was great. Their work was worth every cent. It was good. I called them and he came in. It was a weekend and he came immediately. The quality of their work was perfect. It was a very good experience. He was very nice and did not charge me much. Their price was perfect. I would definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I have used the services of First Choice Overhead Garage Doors in October 2010. They fixed my garage door.

Description of Work: I was did a google search for my preferred garage door company (Overhead Doors of San Antonio) and was misrouted to San Antonio overhead doors. From e-mail to the webpage to the scheduling call, every attempt was made by First Choice to pass themselves off as Overhead Doors of San Antonio. I was still under the impression that Overhead Doors was coming out until the technician arrived and started upselling and telling me the rollers on my garage doors needed to be replaced because they were junk. When I questioned him as to why him company would install junk, he finally owned up to not being Overhead Doors. At this point I was still willing to have him do the repairs as long as his firm was reputable. He quoted me a price and I told him he could begin while I went inside and got the BBB rating for his company. It took me about five minutes to find out they had a BBB rating of "F" at which time I told him to stop and be on his way. He attempted to convice me that I could not stop him once he commenced the work. I convinced him otherwise, he stopped the work and asked for a minimum payment of $89 for the work that he had done (five minutes) and a $29 service call fee. After calling his dispatcher he accepted $89 and left.

+ -1 moreI called all of the companies and this one gave me a cheaper price. He said the total price would be $778 installed (total). When he came out he said he needed $100 for hauling off the old doors. The tax was $64.19. They didn't tell me anything about paying $100 to haul the old doors off. The people that were putting the doors up were not friendly at all. When we discussed this I said this isn't what I agreed for on the telephone and they did take the door removal charge off but they were very reluctant to do that. When you call you should be giving all of the information for what the prices include. This is not a company that I would recommend.
Description of Work: I had two new metal garage doors installed. The wood ones were rotted out at the bottom.
