Elmer's diagnosis crew came out and gave me step by step on how the best affordable way this job would would get done. I was shown my plumbing issues with their camera inside the sewer line. From the job being done to following up with few days later checking for leaks and back filling the dug up areas. Job well done !

Not well; work half done. Unable to talk to plumber or office manager regarding an additional part needed, to be ordered by them (I already ordered a part per their specifications, but apparently when they installed it, they realized that another part was needed to be replaced for the pilot light to work. They were supposed to order it & when received, they would schedule another visit. It’s been 17 days, & I have called the tech & the office, but have been unable to get any useful information, or talk to anyone who has any information. Apparently, although I was told by the tech that they would order the part necessary to complete the work, that information did not get to the office manager, who was under the impression that I would order the part, or so he said, a total mess, resulting in my fireplace still inoperable.

What initially drew me to Elmer's was the touching breast cancer story of Elmer Zubiate's mother. As my own mother is a breast cancer survivor, their dedication resonated deeply with me. Elmer's Home Services truly saved the day, and I couldn't be more grateful.

I had a water leak SOMEwhere and my water meter was spinning like crazy with everything shut off. Elmer's guy came out, looked around here and there, then told me my shower valves were bad and they could be replaced for several hundreds of dollars. Also, a toilet was leaking and that should be replaced for several hundred more. I replaced the shower valves for $40, found the toilet was NOT leaking, and eventually tracked the leak to a BIG puddle out next to my garage....shut off a valve, and fixed the LEAK myself. Fortunately, I didn't fall for all the "Elmer's fixes." If I had I would be in the poorhouse and the meter would still be spinning.

Elmer's took 6 weeks to complete a 2 week job, leaving a giant hole w raw sewage the entire duration. Work stopped for nearly a week without any communication, citing waiting on permits. It was discovered they applied for the wrong permits. They were unable to locate where the sewer line tied into the main waste line and directed us to obtain this info from SAWS ourselves. We, the customers were coordinating with SAWS, the City of San Antonio, and inspectors involved in work completion. The project manager changed from John due to missteps, but the new project manager Paul was not any better. They damaged the yard, fencing which allowed the neighbors pets to roam freely between yards, broke stepping stones with the excavator. and surrounded the HVAC compressor in dirt (they sent someone to clean it while it was still surrounded). They admitted that we received poor service, but have failed to honor their $500 FRUSTRATION FREE guarantee. I regret hiring Elmer's

Great sell, horrible experience.

I called to schedule one of their elmerizations and surprisingly got an appointment for the following week. I called the day before scheduled appointment to confirm. When I called the day of our appointment to ask if they were in fact coming to service our A\C, I was told that due to an influx of customers calling with broken A/Cs they wouldn’t be able to service our A/C for another month. Why wasn’t I told that the day before when I called to confirm? I can certainly understand the urgency of getting broken A/Cs fixed especially since we’re in such a horrible heat wave, but if this is your current protocol, please let customers know. Get your scheduling and dispatch departments on the same page. Was looking forward to conducting annual business with the company, but was left disappointed.

I scheduled to have my AC Elmerized last week for today. I took off from work to be here. They call me at 9am and tell me they are overbooked and can’t make it today. They offered me to reschedule in four days. NO THANKS. We had a set day and approximate time. If you can’t even get that right…You guys blew it. GOETTL will be here Wednesday.

We experienced Elmer’s Home Services for the first time during an emergency service call on a holiday. The service was performed and the experience was pleasant. We knew we were going to need to replace our home AC system soon so we requested a Tech visit for an estimate. We bought their Alamo system with all of the bells and whistles as well as the life time warranty on the condenser unit. Elmer’s was eager to get started and asked if they could start the same day. I declined since it would be late afternoon before work was started and I didn’t work the work to be rushed for what is supposed to be our lifetime unit. A couple hours after the Sales Tech leaves an Elmer’s truck shows up to start work. I didn’t think they were going to do more than get things ready for the install on the following day. Before I knew what was happening, I see my old AC unit being carried out of the house and the install in progress. I was not happy as I knew that my install was going to be thrown together without any chance of achieving a good clean install. One example of their install was the outside condenser unit. My first walk around I found that they had installed the condenser on a new pad that was positioned halfway on top of the old pad and a pile of rocks. I asked if they were seriously going to install this unit like this asked what was their reasoning. They agreed that it did not look very professional agreed to fix, but were insistent on keeping the unit moved as close as possible to the Master Bedroom so they could avoid the PVC drain line from the inside unit. The common rule of thumb is keeping the lines between the condenser and the inside unit as short as possible. Their final install left me with 8’ of copper lines as compared to the 3’ on my old unit. After my complaints a different install team arrived and were able to rotate the unit and reduce the lines to around 4. The biggest complaint I have with Elmer’s is that there is no communication. Sales Tech won’t return calls, they will not connect you with any manager or answer questions on when the install will be completed. It has been 20 days and the install is still not complete. I did not expect this type of service from a company as established as Elmer’s and I will not recommend Elmer’s Home Service to anyone.

Great all around. The estimate was straight forward and explained everything. Work was started within two days. Crew was on time, kept everything clean, and worked hard. The job took 3 days of hard work, and they worked hard. Elmer’s sent out a QA inspector 2 days later who corrected two minor things, and the city permit inspector found nothing wrong. (Why we need the city to inspect work on our own home is a different topic…) Overall great job, great warranty and service guarantee. Thank you Elmer’s.

We bought a new HVAC unit in 2019 and the coil is leaking, we had to have 3 techs out from Elmer's before Nick finally identified the leak. Now they are dragging their feet on the repairs. The service manager Lorenzo never calls back and refuses to schedule the in warranty repair. We are without AC for over a week and they are not responsive when we call to schedule the repair. I would never use them again and warn everyone to review their account at Better Business Bureau as the company is suspended.

Technician was great and friendly but dealing with resolution was complicated due to what his manager would and would not allow him to do. Also miscommunication from phone rep on pricing that caused confusion. I just needed to reconnect (knocked loose) the vent to the heater (flue to bonnet) and wanted a professional to do it, but Elmers was unwilling to reconnect and proposed to replace the entire vent. Once I made it clear that I was unwilling to agree to the replacement of all equipment, company became very difficult to work with and obtain details on service. The plumber was great, not his fault.

It was amazing, it was really good. They were really good and awesome. When I called them, they call back right away. They worked quickly.

It was good. I had no problem working with him.
