In order to get a remodel permit, a set of electrical plans needed to be drawn up and submitted to the city for review and approval. There were several errors made on the plans that were drawn up and we caught all but one. The plans were submitted, approved, built accordingly, inspected and passed as drawn. The only problem is that with the one remaining error on the plans that were drawn created a HUGE fiasco between the city and CPS and we still do not have a new electrical meter installed yet because of this mistake. When I brought it to Ed Monaco's attention, his response was, "Well, I drew the plans how I thought you wanted it". There was no apology, no offer to help resolve the issue, nothing. The level of professionalism was sub par. I expect a professional to make sure that they understand the scope of work and then follow through that the plans were drawn correctly. I would not use Ed Monaco Engineering again.

Response from Edward C. Monaco P.E., Consulting Engineer
Please understand that the matter was addressed and the issue was resolved. The problem was a discrepancy between the City and CPS Energy, the utility company, regarding the address assigned to the space. Once the address was corrected, we corrected the plans, resubmitted the plans to the City plan reviewers and resolved the problem, allowing the project to be completed. I apologize for presenting myself in an unprofessional manner and I did not intend to offend my customer by presenting an "indifferent" attitude. In many cases like this, it is frustrating when the "paper work" is not correct, but all we can do is coordinate our efforts with their efforts and work out the problem, such as we did in this case. Thank you for the Feedback. It encourages me to always strive to present a serving and caring attitude in my work. Sincerely, Edward Monaco.
