Eagle Construction

Description of Work: Contracted Jaime R Vega dba Eagle Construction on Dec. 16, 2011 to build a New Addition and complete Home Remodel to include new addition foundation, level of existing foundation, plumbing, electrical, labor & materials. Did not include windows, doors, trim, fixtures, cabinets, paint & floors. Total contract amount for $53,560.00 plus $3,000 for existing foundation level/repair. On January 30, 2012, I was told by him that he was no longer going to continue with the project. This was after we had confronted him several times of some concerns we had about the quality of work he was doing. We had given him to much money and not enough work being done.Specifically not doing work up to code. We then discovered that the piers of the new addition foundation had been made/placed with no rebar. We hired an Engineer to go take a look at the foundation and advised that all piers had to be replaced. When we confronted Jaime, showed him the broken piers and demanded all piers he set be replaced. Told him we were not giving him anymore money until he had replaced all the piers that needed to be replaced and we needed to see all the framing complete. He never came back.
