Dunn Air

DUNN AIR IS WONDERFUL!!! A++++++++++++++ We were in the process of fighting with our home warranty company who could not seam to get anyone out to our house who could measure Freon levels in AC Systems. Dunn Air came out to our home 2 times to save us from our hot home, the first time an Ac company had diagnosed our AC to have a dirty coil and when he came out to do a second opinion told us our coil was clean, ran a leak test and found a HUGE leak in our coil. Our home Warranty company could barley get people to come out at all and both times we called Dunn Air he was able to come out the next day despite the first time being after 6pm and the 2nd time was on Saturday!!!!! He is wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable!!

In the beginning Bob was a good worker and was almost always on time so it is difficult to completely give him an overall bad grade, unfortunately, the last actions are the ones we remember the most. So my compressor was going out on my A/C and I called and let him know. He came out and ran a diagnostic and could find nothing wrong with the system. The 'non-starting' and 'struggling' of the A/C, to me, was an indicator that the copressor was about to go out. Upon mentioning it and having him come out for the third time, he informed me it must be an electircal issue everything else was working fine. So after paying overtime, due to Saturday, the electrician, immediately diagnosed the compressor as the problem (after me paying $150) for paying for what I would have thougth an A/C guy would have known. To his possible defense it was summer, he was probably busy and wanted to go home and just relax, but to my detrimate. It is now 26 days later and I am still without A/C. Combination of Warranty Company not paying what's close to what is needed and the cost of buying a new outside unit. Soooo...good guy but either needs help or take time to diagnose correctly the first time. UPDATE: My new A/C people (Schmidt Mechanical) just came over to do a bi/yearly maintenance and found that my heating elements had never been hooked up. Not sure how you miss this for the past 3 years I used this guy but guess it just goes to show you are only as good as you claim to be...the other 'oopsie' and this is a big one...the blower (variable fan) speed was only set to 50% so when the blower ramped up it maxed out only at 50% (900rpms). My system is designed to ramp up to around 2,200rpm...so my new technician adjusted the speed to 1,800rpm and I can actually hear the air coming out of my vents. I have lived in this house more than 6 years now and all it took was the right A/C folks to come in and help. I don't even want to think about the lack of efficiency I have had and the sheer amount of overpayments I have been making on my electric bills :-(
