The job took a little longer than expected. however, we had some unusually cold weather during that time period. The work looked good (when he left) and we were satisfied. After a few months, we started noticing some problems. We contacted him about some of the boards being loose. He never came to look or fix them. Then the wood he replaced, began to curl, twist and warp. again, i called him (Dennis Rampersaud) and he still refused to do anything about it. On July 20, 2014, I had another conversation him, he begrudgingly asked me to count the number of boards that were affected, and send him pictures. On july 24th, i sent him 5 or 6 pictures and told him there were about 40 lengths of 2 x 6?s that were affected?that number was a quick estimate?a final evaluation should be done to make sure that?s all that are affected (In hindsight, it appears as if the entire deck base will have to be replaced. Also, I am noticing some bowing of the rail caps now, as well)! When I didn?t hear from him, i became further annoyed. On August 16th, I sent him another text message, telling him; i needed to resolve this issue. i told him i was going to contact Angies List and lodge a complaint, that I would lodge a complaint with the City of Windcrest, and that I would seek an attorney, if he did not come forward to resolve this situation. I told him he could refund my $2,950 (deck portion of the job) and that would work for me. I asked him what was it going to be? This morning (Aug 17th) he responded, with a text, saying?"Now the only person you need to contact is Obama! (smart a_s!)?Since you contacted everyone else?And, tell your attorney to contact me!? As you can see?this guy has no intention of standing behind his work. he is unwilling and blatantly rude and arrogant, in the face of his shortcomings. I don?t want him on my property?nor, could i trust him. I just want to be reimbursed?so that i can get someone else to fix/finish the job properly. We can?t even use the deck for fear that someone will trip and fall?or stub their toes. We have a granddaughter that visits and we have to be careful that she stays away from that area. This is ridiculous! I had an acquaintance come by the house to look at the problems I am having and they said Dominion Fence used the lowest grade of wood possible and should have screwed the boards down.

When they came out the do the work they did a very good job, easy to work with. And I would recommend them to anyone.

They had a lower price than everyone else, and their quality of work was superb. I had another fence done by someone else, and it didn't even compare. They were excellent.

Fence, gate, posts are perfectly aligned/placed. Chopped rock to be installed along fence border on July25. By far the best price for fence replacement. In approx 3-4 weeks the we will reconsult them for fence staining which is also competitively priced. Their fence installation/wood is of high quality and at a great price, I would highly recommend Dominion for any fencing needs. Additionally, we anticipate future contracting for an outdoor kitchen and play area.

Another fence company promised to install the fence in 3 days so I chose them on price, reputation, and timeframe. When it was 4:30 PM on day 2 and all they had done was tear down my old pickets and remove half of the posts, I fired them and got a full refund. That evening, I called Dennis (who had already provided me with a quote) and he came the very next morning. He was a lifesaver!! Not only did he respond quickly, he and his crew did so with extreme professionalism. They worked tirelessly over the weekend to remove the remaining posts, dig deep (3') holes for my 10' posts, and installed a beautiful fence in a matter of days. I found a minor flaw with one of the gates and Dennis promptly sent one of his men to correct the mistake. All in all, I was extremely pleased with the service, craftsmanship, price, and overall experience. Our new fence really is gorgeous. I am so happy with the job that I am considering using Dominion Fences and Decks to install a new deck.

We hadn't heard back from them by July 8 (about a month after the purchase) so we called and he said he'd be out the next day. But, he didn't show up or call. We called again; he said he didn't log our appointment and forgot. He said he'd be out the next Wednesday. We called that morning to remind him about the appointment and to find out when he'd be out; he never called back, which was troubling. But, he came out late afternoon and did a great job! He screwed the separating panels into the vertical posts, he replaced parts of two horizontal rails and replaced three pickets, and improved the closure of the gate, which I hadn't even discussed with the estimator. He did all of that for the original $99, which IMO went beyond the Big Deal. So, this company's scheduling can be really aggravating but, if you can be patient, I think he'll do a good job.

They did a good job replacing the fence boards. They made an appointment but did not show up, and we had to call them again. Then we told them that we would like to look at having a damaged part of our patio replaced and they gave us an estimated price. We wanted to get back with them to discuss options and details. They said they would call but never did. We decided we did not want the hassle and are looking at other options.

The old basket weave fence was replaced by a privacy fence. There was a two man team who worked tirelessly and performed an excellent job. They completed the fence in just one day as well as providing an entrance gate. I would like to thank them for a job well done and I highly recommend them.

They schedule the appointment with me but then cancelled because I was too far away and try to reschedule and they called and cancelled again.

It went very well. They had a very fast response time. They came out the same day to bring the estimate and once I made my final decision they came out did the work and were very professional and very fast.

It went fine. They were very nice, very punctual and polite. I thought the price was very fair. He did what he said he was going to do, and he followed through with me, I didn't have to follow through with him. He seems very eager for my business.

We had two different recent services with them. It was $1500 for about 50 feet of fence. They were not the cheapest but they built real quality fence for us. It went very well. The only minor complaint I had was that they were not entirely consistent in showing up and that's common in the construction trade.

Beautiful work, but they haven't finished it. They said they will back and they have not come back yet. The problem is I don't think they have enough employees and they book jobs. I probably wouldn't recommend them. The work was quality work but they did not fulfill the contract by taking up the fence and they weren't very timely.

iFirst, vendor had trouble with scheduling. Both for looking at the job and for arriving and finishing the job. He had good reasons, but did not call to let us know that he would not be coming to work. Having said that, he did give us an estimate for work we wanted in addition to the Big Deal perameters. The main gate's post was leaning and prohibiting gate closure and opening, several places in the fence were leaning, and some planks were undone. We also wanted a new secondary gate, which was in addition to the Big Deal, and he pointed out that our latch was installed upside down. Vendor brought all the materials needed and did an excellent job of seating a new post and building a new gate. He also pointed out some places that we might want to address next year before winter that would require additional bracing. He did not press us to have that done now, and I will certainly give him a call when we are ready for that work to be done. His crew cleaned up the yard, and he was careful not to bring dirt inside the house when we were discussing things inside. In short, I would use him again, just have to be flexible with the schedule. That is why I gave him a B for professionalism. He was overwhelmed by the new business he got from Angie's List, but he got the work done and did a very good job.

It went real well. The job was fantastic. He waited until the fence was completely dry before he stained it. He was very responsive -- he came out right away and gave me a great price. He replaced & stained 100-200 ft of fence. He put up the fence in an hour.

Best price of the three estimates. Owner was professional and work was completed in one day. Some delay in getting the fence stain.

Dennis was very responsive and provided accurate estimate. Installation started soon afterwards. The crew did a great job demolishing the old fence and cleaning up. The new fence was installed quickly; the wood is much higher quality than used by other companies and was installed with additional cross pieces to prevent warping (not typically done by other companies). The fence was treated with a high quality stain and wood preservative. The price was higher than other companies but that was because of the higher quality materials and design of the fence. We expect the fence to look good and last much longer than the average fence.

I tried to schedule a time for him to come out and take a look at the work, two different times we scheduled he did not come and I did not receive a call to reschedule. I called him 4 times and left messages, another time the voicemail was full. He did not return any calls. I was finally able to speak to him today and we couldn't agree on a scheduled time so I requested a refund for the purchase.

I purchased the big deal for $99 for one gate adjustment and up to 6 fence boards. I knew I needed more work done and was willing to pay more. When I purchased the deal I was contacted immediately by the company which was great, they scheduled me right away and we planned on 5/23 at 3pm for them to come by. I took off work early and was home at this time. No one ever came. I called several times and finally got an answer. The man who answered ( Dennis) said that his son made the appointment and must have messed up the schedule. He apologized and said he would come the next morning at 9:30. The next morning he texted at 8:30 to ask for my address again. good sign. By 9:30 still nothing. At 10 I texted him and he asks me if it's raining where I was. I replied no. At 10:45 I texted again just asking for a refund if they were going to be this late, he says " I'm already on my way" Already??? you are now over an hour late anyway. Finally he shows up at 11:30 and gives me an estimate of $350 for the extra work beyond the deal I bought. Which I thought was fair enough. He said that it was raining very hard where he was coming from so that is why he was so late. I figure I have already bought the deal so just go with it and hope he does a good job, so he scheduled me for 10:00 AM June 13. I had to text him the morning to confirm. I asked him if he was coming at 10 and his reply was " a bit after 10" I told him I would be home by 11:30 and took a half day off to be there. I get home, he is not there. He called me back around 12:30 saying he just bought the materials needed and would be on the way. I told him that I had to go run some errands so I would be back and he could start. I went out for 2 hours and come home, still not there. I called him and told him I just wanted my money back again. He said he was "really" on his way this time and he already bought everything and that he will be there very soon. So I calmed back down. Another hour goes by and just as I am about to call him and tell him forget it, I see a man walking into my back yard. No one even came to the door to announce themselves. So I told him I have to be someplace at 5. He called me about 8 and said they were finished but there was another problem with one more post. I checked it out in the morning and found that the back yard looked fine, but the gate and front fence had issues. It was leaning a bit ( thus the post issue he mentioned) and it looked like whoever measured and put it together didn't do it very evenly. I can see the boards don't match up quite right, I have photos. They should be even and are not. It looks very nice from the outside but it's just not what you would expect from a professional when you look at the detail on the supporting boards that they cut...they don't meet up evenly. He said this was due to the bad post but he has since fixed the bad post ( charged me an extra $25 to do that) but the support boards on the gate still are not exactly even. It won't effect the functionality but still not what I would think i would get from someone who does this for a living. Then they left all the old fencing in my front yard. Luckily it was bulk trash pickup weekend so I went and hauled it all myself to the curb but I should not have to clean up the mess if I am paying someone. I texted him that I was not happy with those things and 4 hours later he finally called. I was out to lunch with friends and he says he is "in my neighborhood" and wanted to see what I thought. Funny now when he wants paid he can be in my neighborhood quickly. I start telling him what I was unhappy with and he basically tells me he can't believe I am complaining. That he went above and beyond by giving me free hardware on the gate and replacing a part I didn't ask to be replaced so that it matched the rest and he said he knew it was bulk trash weekend but he couldn't put items on the curb so they put them in my yard to save me the $40 haul away fee. I guess giving the customer the choice of how they want it handled is not an option? those things were heavy to move that much by myself. I did it but if given the choice I would not have. While I can't say the work is terrible, the communication and professionalism are dreadful. He used excuse after excuse for his lateness, first that it rained the night before and that made him late, then it was family problems, then it was poor scheduling. Then when I complained he said I had no right to complain for all the extra he did for me, that I didn't even know he did or ask for. In my opinion he should do extra when he made me wait a combined 8 extra hours of my time on the days I expected him to show and was late or just didn't come at all. Then when you call him out on it you are being unreasonable?? Also the day he was so late I decided to test him and see if he really was a liar. I told him I couldn't remember the price he quoted me ( my bad for not getting a written quote in the first place too). I remembered it was $350 but wanted to see what he said. Of course my instincts were right, He calls me back with $484. I told him right then and there I wanted my money back and should have stuck to that but he convinced me he was yet again " on his way and bought the materials" so I didn't want to hassle with finding someone else in time for my house painters to come on Wednesday and he offered to lower the price to $300. I needed a good working gate by Wednesday, so against my better judgment I just let him come. I haven't paid him yet and I don't feel right about not paying someone for the work they do but I am very tempted to subtract what I make in 8 hours to cover my vacation time I waited over the three different days. I should have gone with my gut and gotten the money back. The day he came to my house the first day he showed me a bad review he got and tried to make the person sound crazy. He will probably do the same with mine. However this is a 100% accurate account of what occured. response to company's notes...much of what this person said is incorrect. First of all I did pay him and the check has been cashed. It did not rain at all on friday, it rained thursday evening and not a drop friday. The day he inspected the fence he said it was raining where he was, it was not on my side of town and I told him that. As for the trash, I never"insisted" it stay there, I said it was fine because I had already hauled it to the curb myself. I am not trying to be ugly or mean to this person as he seems to think but I can't stand when someone lies. I do apologize for the dog droppings...I have two big dogs and had my lawn service pick up poop two days before but there was still some around I am sure. I did warn him though to watch for it because I knew there was a two day accumulation. I did pay extra as well beyond the 99 big deal, 325 extra so I paid $424 for it all so it was not like all of that was done for $99.

We are happy with the outcome. Our neighbors are as well. We have given Dennis's Company name and phone number out to people walking and driving by at least 5 times ourselves so far. They are very busy, please be patient and your end project should be what you expected or more. I wish I could post a picture here to show you just how nice the metal gate and fencing complements the Mediterranean style of our house and already existing Main Entryway.

Provider contacted me via Angie's list following my purchase. However, he stopped responding via Angie's list, so I called. He set up an appointment for last week (4 June at 6pm), but never showed up or called. When we last spoke on the phone, the person I spoke to seemed overwhelmed with the volume of phone calls and appointments. At this time, I will have to contact Dominion again to set up another appointment.

They did a good job and did it on time. They did what they were suppose to do.

Amazing! Dennis was very communicative in scheduling the appointment and followed up the day of to make sure the appointment still stood. We are 1st time home owners and had a bad experience attempting to get cost estimates for what we needed done. Dennis was knowledgable, professional, personable and provided us a very reasonable price (compared to our previous attempts with other service providers to obtain a work estimate). We will post another review once we've had work done (which was scheduled same day within a reasonable timeframe) , but the experience of getting the work quote was so good, we wanted to share and encourage others to give Dennis consideration.

Guys showed up as promised, did an excellent job fixing the fence. I'm very pleased, and will definitely use them again in the future. In fact, I've already requested an estimate for re-staining the entire fence.
