The quality of the work was excellent. They fixed it no problem. It took them a long time to get to it, but it was their busy season. They did get to it in the time they said it would take them to get to it. It was ready when they said it would be ready and it hasn't given me any problem since. I think that they are reliable, they are trustworthy. I don't think they are going to do a lot of stuff that doesn't need to be done, they do just what needs to be done. And they keep you informed.
Description of Work: The people that I used here in San Antonio for lawn mower repair or small engine repair was Dewinne. I used them in the fall, probably October or November. They repaired my weed eater.

Took in my weedeater to be looked at because a part inside had come loose. I felt like the employees were looking at me like and quot;why are you hereand quot; from the time I came through door. No one was rude to me but was informed that they do not work on weedeater products. It would have been nice if they stated on Angie's List that they only service certain products.. I wouldn't have wasted my time going by. Also was told I would probably be better off buying a new one instead of repairing. Oh well, I'll take it somewhere else.

I brought in a chainsaw that I had ordered online. It was factory refurbished and under warranty. It never started once. I contacted the seller and he told me to take it to the factory authorized service center. The ONLY one in the area was Dewinne. The poor attitude and lack of professionalism was apparent when I arrived as I saw and heard another customer cussing the man behind the counter and his return was a single finger salute to the man. I'm sure they knew each other and were probably kidding around, but it's extremely unprofessional. When I received the chainsaw it had dark oil mix in the primer bulb from the factory. I used brand new gas and oil as recommended, I only pushed the priming bulb 5-6 times as recommended by the manufacturer. Pulled multiple times with no result. I let it sit overnight and tried again the next day....no luck..repeated sequence the following day with the same result. I contacted the seller and was instructed to take it to the closest service center (Dewinne). When I dropped it off, the man behind the counter tried to start it as well...same result. Now they are going to charge me 32+ dollars to and quot;FIXand quot; this item that is under warranty. I had put a spark tester on the chainsaw at home and was receiving no spark. I told them this as well. They told me it was just flooded. They told me since it was and quot;just floodedand quot; that the warranty would not cover it.(how convenient) Strange how the ignition just started to work on it's own. Seems a little shady. Beware of this place. Update: I had to call the factory myself to get an authorization number since they would not. I received the number and gave it to them and was asked and quot;How did you get them to approve it?and quot; I told them and quot;I simply called and talked to someone and they gave me the number.and quot; There response and quot;ohand quot;. When they brought my chainsaw out it was covered in oil and dirt. I took it in spotless. Just confirms the lack of professionalism.

Mr. [member name removed], We understand your concern but we went to bat with the manufacture on a refurbished unit you purchased off of eBay and got your repair covered under warranty. There was absolutely no charge to you for the repair, even though it was not a normally covered failure and it was due to a flooded engine from improper starting. I do understand my counter person not being able to start the unit if it was as flooded as we have noted in the repair order. If you would like I can resend you the repair order if you do not have a copy. As far as your feeling of unprofessionalism we treat all of our customers like friends and family. I am sorry if you mistook something a customer and an employee did as offensive. We will address this situation properly. We have used them periodically over the years and their price is reasonable. They did a great job and got the equipment working again; we did not have any problems and did not have to worry about replacing the equipment. Their pricing was fair. They are very busy but got the equipment done when they said they would. They do not tell us we need to check with them to see when the equipment will be ready; instead they give you a date and stick to it. If the run into other issues they call to tell us and ask what we want to do; they are very good that way.
