My husband and I hired David several years ago to paint the exterior of our home and when it was time for me to sell my rental home I immediately thought of David as someone who could help me get it ready for the market. He met me at the designated time for the bid and was thorough in accessing my needs and helpful in making suggestions as to improvements and paint colors. David is honest, dependable, fair and takes pride in his work. The interior of the house turned out beautifully and the deck looked amazing. The job was completed on time and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Thank you David for another job well done.

David was very professional and easy to work with................he definitely has an eye for detail. He responded right away with a written proposal as well as telling us what he'd do. He called when he'd say he'd call and he showed up right on time.........uses time efficiently ......worked thru the day with just a short lunch break for the two days he was here.........the back splash texturing turned out great and the window board replacement did well during the recent rain. He also went out of his way to match the paint colors for the two areas he did. We will definitely use him again........

David has been our go to painter for 13 years. He has painted every room in our house at least once. He's honest and dependable. He is detail oriented and cleans up the job when he's finished. I would highly recommend him for any painting job!

We called David and explained that we needed an estimate on the exterior painting of our home before we put it on the market to sell. David showed up on time, was the nicest man, and I immediately felt at ease with him. He carefully walked around our house with me and I pointed out places that we were concerned with. He then walked the perimeter and took notes on his own observations. We received an estimate the next day. It was detailed and left no question of what he would be repairing, replacing, and painting. (He has an eye for details which we really appreciated!) When I called to tell him we wanted to go with him as our painter, I explained that we would need the work done with a relatively quick turnaround. He agreed and thus began the whirlwind painting of our house. David showed up on time, was just the nicest and most courteous person, and he did a great job to boot! He talked us through his ideas for paint colors based upon what we were wanting and helped make the perfect color choice for us. He actually finished a day ahead of schedule so that made things even better. We enjoyed our experience with David's company and will use him again in a heartbeat. Really nice guy. Very experienced at his job. He gave us quality work. We got more than we expected because the house was better looking than we imagined when he finished the job.

David was very nice to work with. He showed up on time and finished the job very close to his original time estimate. Being an old house, he did have quite a bit of sanding, filling, etc to do before he could even put on the texture. And the texturing looks great! Wish all my rooms looked this good!

David was awesome! I trusted him to be left alone in my home the entire day. He did everything I asked and then some and never asked for more money then he quoted. He left my home clean too.

David shows up as scheduled. Our proposal was done very timely and was quite reasonable. In fact, we added an extra room after receiving the proposal and David was flexible enough to include it as well. We moved most of the furniture. David doesn't like to move heirloom-type pieces on his own (understandable) but does move other pieces--or assists with moving other pieces. He tapes off and covers the area and does quick, high-quality work. He also cleans up everything and re-hangs blinds (if he had to remove them for the job). His work is very neat and professional. David is also quite knowledgeable in paint and textures. We already had paint picked out, but he can provide color samples if needed. We also had a door that needed re-framing. David was honest and said he didn't feel comfortable doing the work, but he recommended an individual that also did excellent work. Top notch; I would not hesitate to recommend David and plan to have him paint our other rooms as time and budget allow.

It all went well. He is a man of integrity and takes pride in his work and finished on schedule. He leaves the area clean where he worked. This is the 3rd time I have used him and would recommend him to anyone. He is wonderful.

He came out and gave me a bid and within 2 days he completed the job. The paint job turned out just beautiful and I love it. The sheet rock and carpentry was completed as requested and he did a wonderful job for me. If you need some work done.....you need to call David's Painting. You will be glad you did.

David worked quickly, did an amazing job and cleaned up the whole site before leaving. I'm very impressed with the quality of Mr. Hickey's work. This is the second time I've had him do a job at my home and have been very pleased both times. I would recommend him highly to anyone needing this kind of work. He's the best! I joined Angies list specifically to find a great contractor and the great reviews for this man is part of the reason I chose him.

David completed our repairs quickly and within our time frame. David repaired some difficult things that had been in need of repair for quite some time. There were marks in the door where a bell had rubbed against it for about 5 years, after his work, you could not tell that anything had ever been there. Several places in the garage and in the house had holes, after, you could no longer find. There were also exterior repairs to rotted wood and other areas that look so nice now that he fixed them. David is very cordial, professional and did such an excellent job, we would definitely recommend him to anyone.

David did an outstanding job. He's a wonderful problem solver who is willing to go the extra mile to make sure his customer is happy. He also gave us some tips on other items around our house. He was very professional in his work and demeanor, but was also very friendly and accommodating. He arrived on time every day & worked hard all day, with just a short lunch break. He is very conscientious about cleaning up after he's finished the job, which is greatly appreciated. David's bid for the work was a little higher than others, but the quality of his work and his work ethic made it worthwhile. It's true that "you get what you pay for" and with David, we got every dime's worth & more! We would highly recommend David for your next project!!!

David was very nice and courteous to all of us at Acupuncture Associates. He was extremely thorough and punctual when he arrived to give me an estimate. I liked the fact he took pictures of the building, and focused in on troubled areas that he would later use as reference for his bid. David completed the job in the amount of time that we agreed upon, and his professionalism throughout the job was unwavering. His actual work on the building was very good, and I was more than happy with the result. I plan to use David in the near future for another project, and I recommended his services to all.

I contacted David ("The Painter") and made arrangements to get an estimate. He arrived early, and provided me an estimate. David was able to begin work the following week. Again he arrived early and painted the rooms, taped and floated an area that needed to be taped and floated, and he also corrected mistakes that I had made with paint work I had done previously. I was very pleased with all the work that he did in my home. And I appreciated that he picked up/cleaned up the areas where he worked. David takes pride in the work that he does and it shows in the finished product.

Mr. David hickey is a real professional.He does extremely high quality work in a timely manner,at a reasonable price.I am very happy I chose this contractor and will recommend him to family and friends in need of his services.

David estimated the job would take two to three days. He and his assistant completed it in two full days. They arrived at 8:30am each day and worked steadily throughout the day. David's drywall work is superior. The cracks and water damage spots literally disappeared into the current texture of the ceiling and walls. My wife and I were both amazed. The painting was also very good. Super cut in job all around and good color cover and match. David has a great attitude and takes pride in his work. In the middle of the second day he told me, "The paint on the existing baseboards in the other bedroom was pretty rough, so we just went ahead and painted them." I asked him if I needed to pay him more for that, and his exact words were, "Naw, I was glad to do it." There were several other things where he saw something little and just took care of it. They were walking and working on brand new carpet. They did not get a drop on it, and they did a good job of overall clean up when they were done. High quality and very good attitude. Highly recommended.

David was very prompt with his estimate and very reasonable with his price. He and his workers were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. When he was finished the job, David had me walk around the entire house with him to be sure each window and door were painted to my satisfaction. First time I've ever had a painter do that!

Dave and his partner did fantastic work! They are perfectionists. The detail and attention to the painting was excellent. The precision used to mount all the handles was amazing. They took extra time to get everything just right. After the drywall repair, the spot looked brand new and blended very well with the rest of the area. The work on the doors and wood trim was outstanding and added to a beautiful finish to the job. We have been frequent customers of Dave since 2005. He has painted the exterior of our house and several other large interior paint jobs. He has also repaired, hung and painted doors for us. They are going to start a new project in our new house next week. Dave's company and work is simply the best. We have always been completely satisfied with his work.

David s did an excellent job and there are no light spots or streaks because they used high quality paint. They were respectful and made sure no paint got on anything. They cleaned up when finished and I am very pleased with their work but I can t remember how much it cost.
