Description of Work: Dan charges $70 per hour and he spent 3 hours here. I have a new laptop computer and he transferred files from the old to the new, He made sure that the new was able to print to our older printer. He inquired about keeping security on both the old and new computers, making sure that I knew I would be paying for two subscriptions to Carbonite. In addition to fixing issues with my husband's e-mail, Dan installed our new Roku, helping us to stream video from Netflix-very useful. However we have a universal remote - had to call in Bjorn's to complete the

Description of Work: Needed some major work on my computer. Mechanical not technical. Dan was very up front and explained why this was out of his scope. He did recommend another company. Final advice was not to pour money into a bleak future. This computer may not be worth saving. I guess I appreciated the honesty. I do plan to use Dan to move hard drive info over to a new computer.

Description of Work: I got in touch with Dan the Computer Man. My husband and I were able to speak with him right away, and due to the nature of our problem, he was able to send us on to another company in our area. It was a good experience.

Description of Work: Took care (cleaned out) of programs that had been running in the back ground since I bought my computer to add speed. Added a free virus control. Talked about my troubled printer and recommended brands when I replace. Answered questions. Gives a discount to Angie's List members! In the future: I will have a more specicfic list of anything that happens while using my computer that I don't understand and would like addressed.

Description of Work: My computer crashed. Dan gave me the option of backing up all my files and using the old computer or purchasing a new computer and he would come out and put all my files on the new one. I decided to keep my 2006 Dell and it was a good choice. Dan is all professional and knows his stuff. Would highly recommend and use for all future computer needs

Description of Work: He repaired on laptop, attempted to repair another. Unfortunately, the second laptop was DOA. He was able to pull the hard drive off the dead computer and also a very old desk top. He put what he could salvage on the new hard drive that he replaced on the salvageable laptop. Overall, this took several hours, including the time he ran to the store for replacement parts. I will call Dan again for any other repair issues.
