Description of Work: They excavated soil with a backhoe and built a retaining wall made out of limestone. The blocks were huge, as specified by my engineer. The project was from a settled lawsuit with neighbor, so everything was done per the arbitrated agreement. The work was completed on someone else's property. They did a excellent job; my engineer looked at that final work. I would use them again.

Description of Work: initial contract day went right on time. each time they were due a check, they were right on time. when it came to doing actual work, that's a whole nother story. wok started on may 22nd was to be complete june 5th. we finnaly got done JULY 7TH. can't keep track of their sub contractors at all. only good thing to come from this debacle was I met another contractor that got the project moving and did great work. in san Antonio look up key stone construction. Ezekiel the owner is great and communicates what and when very well.as for lone star state. I wont even return their phone calls. it was that bad.

Description of Work: They worked on our 40 year old house that was falling apart. There were large cracks in every wall in the 10 rooms of the house. All rooms upstairs needed new flooring. Much of the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom had to be redone. We had a huge hole in the ceiling in our garage room and a beam that was cracked and many more issues. They were able to fix everything, and if they didn't believe something was done right, they would redo it. Daren, our supervisor, was there every day checking on the work. They tried very hard to please us.

Description of Work: I called to ask if they could do some decorating consultation. They will be opening that division soon but Dave was able to talk with me and also give me a reference for someone else. He was very quick to follow up and was very gracious and honest.

Description of Work: They built an attic addition room for us. They were prompt, responsive, and customer oriented during the entire project. They were professional in every respect. The worksite was always clean and they made every attempt to minimize disruption to the remainder of the home.

Description of Work: Very nice company to deal with and we will definitely use them again, or at least get a bid from them when we add on to our home in the next few months. The communication that seems to be of utmost importance to this company is fantastic.

Description of Work: We have recently moved into a different home and I was looking for decorating assistance to finish the décor and pull it all together. Jaimie arrived promptly as scheduled and we walked through each room. She listened to my questions and concerns and gave me several suggestions. We do not have any major projects at this time but would like to do an upgrade in counters and fixtures in master bath in future. She advised on paint colors for another bathroom. The appointment was very satisfactory and provided me with the help I was looking for. She was a breath of fresh air with such a positive and helpful attitude. If I need future services, I will make sure I call D Michael and request Jaimie.

They arrived at every appointment prepared, patient and involved in assisting with our desired changes. Their expertise was priceless throughout this process. They helped us from initial concept through the minute details that such an effort entails. I will be using D. Michael Designs for absolutely every design need I may have, which will include the upgrade of the remainder of the house (dining room, bedrooms, baths, etc.), and would recommend this team to anyone with design needs.
