 + -1 moreThe hard drive was replaced, my files were copied from the old hard drive, and I had them add Windows 10. I had asked them to check on the price of upgrading the RAM, but I didn't receive a quote on that as requested and the work wasn't completed.
Description of Work: My mouse and touchpad wouldn't work on my laptop. I took in on an emergency basis. We were able to recover my files that I had to have immediately, and I left the laptop with them for diagnosis. I received a call back in 3 days telling me that it required a new hard drive.

 + -1 moreI contacted them to find out that they weren't willing to help an individual, non-business, with their computer needs. Definitely wouldn't recommend if you are in need of your personal computer being repaired!

Description of Work: Fixed my daughter's laptop. It had a virus that was difficult to delete. None of the normal antivirus software would touch it. They backed up the data, reinstalled the operating system and restored her data. I've used this company dozens of times over many years, both for my business needs and home computers. My expenditures with them ranged from a few hundred dollars to over $100,000 and their attention and thoroughness were the same, no matter how large or small the cost. I have found them to be honest, capable, knowledgeable, straight-forward and just wonderful to work with. That cannot be said of very many computer companies. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

 + -1 moreI handle move related damages and the computer repair guy I have used for 10 years has relocated. I called to set up a diagnostic and was told they aren't taking new customers ?? Not sure exactly what this means or why they are on AngiesList if they aren't wanting business. I did find Mobile PC Fix he was courteous and called my customer immediately, went above and beyond even what my old computer guy did! Call him, he is apparently needs the work more than these guys!

Description of Work: Our Toshiba laptop is 4-5 yrs old and had a bad hard drive. We confirmed this with "free diagnostic" at Office Depot and consulted Geek Squad at Best Buy. Both offered repairs & service plans that seemed high. My brother's small |business had good results at good prices from Computer Rescue. Description of Work: Fixed my computer in a timely manner, explained what they did, had me try the computer before I left to ensure that it was working to my satisfaction, gave me print out to help me in the future, carried computer in and out of their workplace. Most genuine manners and the price excellent. I had used an online computer helpline for $230.00 and two days of my time to no avail. (at least they gave me a refund when they realized they didn't fix the problem). Thank you Computer Rescue. I;ll recommend you to everyone I know that has a computer.

 + -1 moreComputer Rescue is great. They give real personalized service. They are available for tech support long after you have purchased the machine. You can call them years later to ask a question and they are happy to answer. The owner, Jeff Wulum, is a really nice guy. They stand behind their products. The price is more expensive than average but in some ways it is cheaper. It is a great deal - a bargain.

 + -1 moreI felt like the price was reasonable for everything that he did. He was friendly. They gave me a fairly quick return time, and they made it. He gave me some advice about a free virus protection plan. I was very pleased with him.

 + -1 moreI had the problem diagnosed elsewhere and got an estimate of $100. That seemed high, so I called Computer Rescue. I got a quote of $75 and was told if I got it in early, it could probably be done that day. I took it on on a Friday morning and it wasn't ready until Tuesday, but they did an excellent job and I felt better taking it there than to a big box store.
Description of Work: (Category should be computer repair but there wasn't one on the list) I had data transferred from a computer whose motherboard had died to a new computer.

Description of Work: My desktop PC was having all sorts of problems; locking up, crashes, no sound , etc. I almost panicked because I use my computer on a daily basis for about 2-3 hrs. per day. I needed a repair and quickly. I called these guys (Derrick) and he spoke on the phone with me a for about 20 min. telling me what I could do to fix it myself. After 2 more phone calls I decided to take it in for him to repair. I had the computer the very next day cleaned up and repaired. I can't say enough about how nice they were and how knowledgeable.
