Comfort-Air service personnel have always been excellent and this most recent service visit by Maz was a splendid example of the high level of work performed by the Comfort-Air folks. Maz was courteous, professional, provided great explanations for the work he performed and was the most thorough I've ever seen in making sure our A/C system was clean and working at its best. Maz even took the time to make a trip to a parts store for a capacitor that matched the one in the condenser instead of just using a universal capacitor he carried on his truck; saving us about 35 percent of the capacitor cost even though a trip charge was included in the bill. The savings are greatly appreciated.
Description of Work: 195 for annual service plan + 80 for replacing compressor run capacitor.

We have been using this company for years they used to be called precision plumbing, and we have always had excellent service. They are fast dependable and they know their stuff! We have never had a problem with any work they have done. We have had them out for big jobs and small ones. We would not call anyone else as they have proven themselves time and time again. The work men that come out are nice and professional and explain everything that they did. After they re-caulked around the toilet they even reminded me not to put a rug back down until it was dry! lol

Excellent results. They took the time needed to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the features and functions of this unusual system, and used analytical equipment to determine that the compressor was shutting down due to overheating, and that the overheating was caused by inconsistent flow through the water loop. Close inspection of the water loop components above ground located a leak int he accumulator. They located a new accumulator online, acquired it with a regulator, and installed both. They pressure-tested the water loop to confirm its integrity, then flushed and refilled the loop. To avoid future problems with intermittent water flow from air entering the loop, they installed an automatic air elimination system, a simple approach to a common problem. They did an excellent job. Comfort personnel were knowledgeable, and very professional. Due to the unusual nature of our system, they also had a member of the Comfort management team actively engaged in our diagnosis and repair. He was onsite during the troubleshooting and problem resolution work. A job well done by Comfort Air!
Description of Work: Diagnosed the cause of central air conditioner lack of cooling in outbuilding. This unit is an unusual design, uses an inground water circulation system for heat exchange in both the cooling and heating cycle. Comfort Air personnel determined the problem to be a lack of water in the circulation loop, and found a leak in the accumulator. They replaced the accumulator and regulator, and flushed and filled the water loop. They also installed an inline air eliminator in the water loop.

Eric came to the house in the afternoon to fix a leak from one of our A/C pipes in the ceiling. He fixed the pipe, stayed as long as he needed (into the evening) to ensure the leak was secure. The following time we saw him was when he did the complete A/C inspection in which he also improved the operation of our smaller A/C unit. During both visits, Eric was prompt, well-spoken, courteous and respectful. We would certainly recommend him and his company to others.
Description of Work: First visit: Secured leak, cleared pipes, other. Second Visit: Performed Spring tune-up on both A/C units.

After signing a contract for new construction AC installation with Comfort Air (sister company of Primo Plumbing), we made the huge mistake of listening to Primo?s sales talk to get our business for the plumbing of our new home. Primo Plumbing said that they were trying to build their residential new construction plumbing business. If we had only known the constant problems they would cause, we would never have accepted their bid. They caused of us numerous delays. They didn't know how to do foundation plumbing--they brought out a backhoe on a wasted trip and he added no value and they tried to charge us for it. They had to re-do the foundation plumbing once and they still got it in the wrong place. We had a leak in a pipe which they insisted was the fault of our foundation crew, but in the end Primo had failed to secure the connection of a sewer pipe. They swore it was our fault initially and were going to make us pay for the work. In the end, it was their fault and we were still out time and some money for the extra pay to the foundation guys (Primo Plumbing did allow us to short pay our first invoice but now they are trying to get that short pay money back from us. However, the short pay didn?t cover the entire amount we were out with the foundation crew.) After we poured the foundation, we realized that our kitchen island sink plumbing was 2 feet off--the owner originally sent the message that we were going to have to pay the extra for the jack hammer to move the pipes, but he finally realized it was his plumbers? fault. In addition, the master toilet about 18 inches off and the master tub was about 2 feet off. We moved a wall to accommodate the master toilet problem and had a use the jack hammer to fix the master tub issue. The plumber that they assigned to our job was a nice guy, but the job was over his head. He made a mess of our plumbing fixtures and lost pieces because he spent half of his time trying to figure out how to plumb certain fixtures. It was obvious that he had not done much new construction. He completely failed to put in a water line for our second refrigerator?something that we clearly in the plans. We didn?t notice the plumbing until after the house was nearly complete. Primo Plumbing?s solution was to put copper tubing line outside the wall on the ground from our water softener thru the garage and into the wall--an eye sore. I can go on and on--including the fact that they completely forgot to vent the water heater until we were well into the framing stage and we and our framer had to come up solutions to fix their failure. They installed the tankless water heater on the outside of our house rather than putting it in the outside wall (as every other house in our neighborhood has it). It is just an eye sore, but it shows their lack of experience with residential new home construction. They cause delays throughout the project because the company was unwilling to listen to their worker and send more people out ot help him. For the most part, he worked by himself the entire time. They are the only contractor for which we still hold some of the retainage. We are still fighting with them over final payment because they failed to do a final QA/QC on the house. They connected the city water to the house without checking pressure--we had 125 psi coming into the house for about 1 month before the inspector caught it and warned us. In addition, they completely failed to test the flow rates from any of the faucets. They are some many other issues but I don?t have enough space in this column to address them. What finally led me to write this review is that Comfort Air is refusing to honor its contractual obligation to provide service to our house because they are trying to pressure us into making the final payment before the plumbing issues are resolved. The 2 contracts (AC/Plumbing) are completely separate and we have paid the Comfort Air invoice in full?months and months ago. Before this episode, I would say that the Primo Plumbing/Comfort Air owners led by integrity but now I can't even say that. I am very disappointed in their leadership?s lack of character. Beware?do not do business with Primo Plumbing or Comfort Air.

I have used this company for years and have always found them to be honest, prompt, and courteous. They keep the house clean while they work, explain their findings, what was done, and options if there is anything additional needed. Today while performing safety checks, a part of a connection broke in the fan that exhausts combustion fumes. Jacob informed me right away and assured me that since he was the one doing the connecting and disconnecting, the company would assume total responsibility for the repair. Within a couple of hours he returned with a new fan motor and had it installed at no cost to me. With that kind of service and honesty, I will continue to be a loyal customer for life!.

I initially thought the price of $625 was too high, but after Internet research, discovered the small 10-gallon electric water heater was itself around $300 without tax or shipping. Add that price to the two-plus hours it took for two men to drain and remove the old water heater, remove the water-damaged old cabinet material and then rebuild a wood base for the new (slightly larger) water heater and installation and you can understand the time involved. The unanticipated problem was that evidently the original water heater was installed and then had the cabinet built around it, making its removal all the more difficult without damaging the existing cabinet and countertop. Extra parts and connections were required to finish the job without extra cost to me. I was very pleased with their work. I want to add that Primo Plumbing and its sister company Comfort-Air were two service providers highly recommended by a friend who owns numerous rental properties around town and often needs plumbing and AC work done quickly and competently. I have used both companies on prior occasions and have never been disappointed with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the employees. There may be cheaper bids out there, but you don't know who you are letting into your home and what quality of work will be done for that cheap price.
Description of Work: Removed old 10 gallon electric water heater in a bathroom (bottom corner) cabinet and replaced with new Rheem 10 gallon electric water heater. Plumber MIchael and his assistant Fernando were extremely courteous and really knew their stuff, especially when faced with unexpected problems. Even this old retired military officer was impressed with their work and professionalism.

It didn't do well. There were a lot of reasons that let them down. One of them was the price was too high. The main complaint is that they charge 615 dollars for that contract. What they fixed is a very, very small leak; it's just a very small job to do for a lot of money. I think they're competent but with their service I wouldn't use them again because it's expensive.
Description of Work: Primo Plumbing Inc. came here and settled a small leak from the master's bedroom and they're looking for a leak in the sprinkler system because our water bill is 450 dollars and they said it was leaking but they couldn't find where the leak starts unless they start digging and all that stuff.

They replaced part of the computer that turned on and off. Something about the programming because it just stopped for no apparent reason. He replaced the thermostat and finally one guy came out and he’s better with that. It was rather expensive. It was so far so good for the most part of the computer system. They were always very nice. They are great. I have used them for so long and I don’t know how they really compare as far as price I know. I know that there are people who advertise a lot cheaper but I don’t know about their quality and I don’t want to use them. I haven’t had any middle of the night emergency, so they do well. They came when they said they were going to come. Appointments aren’t hard to make. I need to call them now for the spring.

.We used Angie's list's automated request for an appointment in the evening and early next morning we received a call from Mr Freund. He asked us about our problem and made some preliminary determinations of the kind of machinery that his staff should bring in order to complete the work request. The workers arrived promptly on time and worked to get the rooter machine into the sewer pipe. This took some effort given the space constraints and the fact that this was an older house built around 1969. They then tested the sewer line by filling the slop sink to make sure that everything drained properly. Everything has been draining fine since then. The worker were polite and pleasant & they cleaned up after themselves.
Description of Work: Primo augered the sewer pipe line; our garage flooded when the drain from the water softener to the outside backed up into our slop sink located in our garage.
