It was a great experience from beginning to end. City was low bidder. We were in touch all the way about: what was wanted, date scheduled for the work, workmen arrived promptly and the work is beautiful. City had put in my privacy fence and I was so pleased with the quality of the wood and their work that I invited them to bid on the patio cover. I couldn't be happier.I j. Mckinney

I had City Fence come out initially to do a quote to just replace my front gate, replace a few pickets in the back, and do a very minor repair to straighten a piece of fencing that came apart. I was told the work was considered a and quot;small joband quot; and a small job fee of over $200 would apply. I was not happy with that, and wanted to sit on the quote for a while. I then had damage to the gate and decided to go ahead with City since I already had the quote. I called the office and was rudely informed that I needed to call the same salesperson who came out to my home. I called and talked with the salesperson and set an appt for him to come out to look again just to make sure the quote was still valid. He made sure he told me it was his busy season and he was very busy, which made me wary since I was beginning to feel like they didn't want this job. I took an afternoon off work to meet him at my house, and he was a NO CALL/NO SHOW. I have never heard from City Fence since then. Very unprofessional and very tacky. I guess you have to have a big job to get good service from them??

.Finished product is nice. Lackadaisical management; however, very willling to do whatever is necessary to make the client happy.

We called City Fence because our neighbor had his fence done by them, and said that he had no problems. We didn't need our entire back yard fenced since both of our neighbors had fences. We just needed the front part enclosed with gates. When we got our estimate and talked about what we wanted, it all went very smoothly, and we were told what we wanted to hear. But, when it came time to do our work, there was delay after delay. Then, when they built the fence, they BUILT IT with a tree LEANING on it! We also realized that we needed a gate that we could drive a riding mower through, not just walk through. After I pointed out the tree that was already leaning on it, they came and fixed it, and they put the new gate in. They didn't, however, set the gate posts in cement. They just set them in rocks. I had to point THAT out too that I wasn't going to have a five-foot swinging gate only set in ROCKS. They came out and fixed that too. THEN... as I was weatherproofing the fence, I realized that they built it INSIDE OUT! We specifically said that we wanted the smooth side of the boards facing OUT and the rough sides facing in... which is STANDARD on fences!! Nope... they built it inside out. But... at this point, I am DONE with them. Maybe if you were doing a large yard, they would spend more time doing the job right and not send people who didn't care about doing the job right, which is what they seemed to do with our small project. But I feel that if you can't trust them with the small things, why in the world would you hire them for the big things?

City Fence was recommended to me by a coworker. The fence and gate we inherited when we bough the house was a disaster and I needed to install a gate wide enough to park a trailer. Benjamin Nixon or and quot;Benjyand quot;, owner of City Fence, came out to me and discussed at length what could and should be done to install a proper long lasting fence and gate system. He listened to my needs, provided options and helped me to understand how to keep costs down. Before leaving he was able to provide me a quote that was a couple hundred dollars lower than a competitor. Benjy coordinated work with my landscaper and when it was time to do his part he completed the job in two days. Delfino, his foreman, did an excellent job with fit and quality and left the job site clean and orderly. We had a small issue that was brought to their attention and Benjy had it corrected in a very timely manner. Overall City Fence exceeded my expectations and I wouldn't hesitate to use them on another project.

Never received an estimate or any call indicating a delay or lack of interest in the job. The estimators (two gentlemen came out) seemed ill-prepared for this appointment. Neither had a measuring tape longer than 20 feet and they measured a lot with footsteps.

City Fence Company of San Antonio did a very good job putting up my wooden fence. I really wanted to hire someone who would work hard and get the job done in a decent amount of time and they did just that. They showed up on time every day and got right to work. They did a very professional job. They were friendly. We have not had any problems with the fence. We had an accident and a car went through our fence, they came back and repaired everything.

City Fence Company of San Antonio did not provide good service while installing our fence. We were not happy with them from the very start, as the work crew did not show up when expected. They stomped all over our flower beds and did not clean up after themselves. This was a very bad experience for us, however the fence does look good.

City Fence Company Of San Antonio did a nice job on our fence. It was rotting in some spots and we needed some boards replaced and they were the right company to call. I really thought it would cost a lot more than it did. Our fence looks great again thanks to them.
