The plumbers came when they promised; time and dates. They were professional and clean in appearance and divided the total price into installments every time they completed a segment of the job, and they explained every step of the job.

We were very happy with their work. They had to tear some of the yard out. After the pipe was put in place, they covered up well. The price was reasonable. We had already compared them to other companies. They gave me a three-year warranty as well.

They did a wonderful job! They worked quickly and efficiently. They were courteous to me throughout the project. They went above and beyond in the clean up. You could hardly tell they were here! I would highly recommend them! They were professional thorough the entire project. Clearly knowledgeable in their field.

Outstanding. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Response was timely. My existing 26 year old water heater was a 75 gallon, commercial gas unit. Based upon their recommendation to resize to a more economical, efficient water heater, they installed a 50 gallon unit. The code required them to replace/install an appropriate size vent through the roof. They were professional and worked efficiently and completed the work in a timely manner. I would definitely hire these people to help with any plumbing problem in the future. They saved me a lot of money and I'm definitely pleased with their work.

I initially contacted several plumbing companies to inquire about hot water circulating systems. Kevin Chambliss was the only one who would talk to me directly over the phone about how much they run and what is required to install them. The other companies wouldn't even talk to me without making a serivce call. Once he came out to do the install, he first did an overall check of the plumbing in the house and discovered the source of a plumbing problem that had been caused by a different plumber during a prior remodel. We were aware there was a problem, but couldn't ever find anyone else who could understand the problem, let alone fix it. He gave a thorough explanation of what was causing the problem and his recommendations for fixing it. He then installed the hot water heater and hot water circulating system.

We had several plumbers look at this project (in a 50+ year old house) and shake their heads, never to return. We finally turned to Angie's List for a recommendation. Chambliss responded immediately and scheduled the repair work within a week. The work was done with attention to detail by great people who obviously take pride in their work. We couldn't be more pleased.

Kevin and his crew were prompt, courteous and professional. Prices were competitive and as bid. I waited a while to report to see how everything would perform. We could not be happier. We have wonderfully soft water, and more hot water than we could ever use. I will definitely use Kevin again. The Tankless hot water heater replaced a conventional propane heater in our attic. We may or may not break even on the cost savings. But the quality of the water and the peace of mind of not having 50 gallons of hot water over our heads make it well worth it. Our old water softener was using 5 bags of Potassium a week to NOT soften water. The unit Kevin put in is using a little over 1 bag a month, and the water is very soft. Thank you Kevin - great job!

This company was so efficient from start to finish that I will used them as my plumbing company for any future problems. This is the 4th plumbing company I've used since moving to San Antonio 5 years ago and it is certainly the best one of all.

Chambliss arrived at the scheduled time. I expained issue and they got to work to fix the problem. Before beginning they told me their rates. They were very thorough to make sure the problem was fixed and gave suggestion to prevent further problems. I have used Chambliss for years and will continue to use and recommend them.

When I purchased our home in August of last year, the high water pressure was uncovered during the home inspection. As part of the sale of the home, we had the former owners install a new PRV. Within a few months after I moved in, several plumbers who had come by the house for other reason had measured the pressure and told us it was high. I had the plumber who installed it come out for adjustments several times. Recently, we had a whole house furnace/AC/plumbing preventive inspection, and they told us that the pressure was again back up, and that the "new" valve had failed - about 9 months after installation. Of course, the plumber who installed it (who charged the former owners about $550) would not cover it. The company who did the AC/furance/plumbing inspection wanted almost $700 for the job. So I called Chambliss after seeing good reviews on Angie's list. They quoted me $350 installed over the phone, with 12 mos warranty. They even made a Saturday appointment (not due to emergency, but for my convenience) without charging extra. The plumber who came out was named Skylar. He was very nice, very professional, and cleaned up thoroughly after the job was done. He had the done and cleaned up in about an hour. He honored the quoted price (and gave an Angie's list discount). He also told me that if the PRV failed after the warranty period, that they would be able to install new components without having to replace the entire device, at a cost much lower than a new install. To sum it up, my experience with them was an A+. These guys are awesome. They are my new plumbers. I won't even think about calling anyone else again for plumbing concerns.

The original problem was our sprinkler system having a huge leak that flooded our back yard. I have used them numerous times before for plumbing issues and have been very happy. I decided to use them for the sprinkler problem because I had an issue with my kitchen sink also. They are always prompt and very nice. Turns out my sprinkler system failed because the pressure regulator had gone out again! They fixed that. There is a new city code that you have to have expansion tanks on your water heaters if you have the pressure regulator so had them install these on 2 water heaters. Overall happy, just was not expecting to have to spend so much!

We had Chambliss come out after another large local plumbing company could not do the work it said it would. We should have reviewed Angie's list first! What a difference in Chambliss versus the other company. They gave us a very fair estimate and scheduled the install. On the day of the install, they showed up, explained what they were going to do. They accomplished the install in the minimum amount of time. The plumbers took the time to lay down drop cloths and did a thorough clean up after the install. The plumbers answered all of our questions. Both of Chambliss? employees did a fantastic job. Both seemed enthusiastic to work for Chambliss. Both had a great attitude opposed to the other company. I feel 100% comfortable recommending them. We will without doubt use Chambliss for any future plumbing needs.

Arrived on time and was very efficient. Kevin was very professional.

The water flow from the faucets in both tubs was fine when the lever was at cold but dropped to a trickle when the lever was turned to hot. Josh replaced both cartridges, replaced the trim and recaulked, and cleaned up completely. He was professional, polite and punctual. The final price was actually a little less than I expected ( didn't charge for the time it took to go get the second cartridge?). I'll definitely call Chambliss for any future plumbing needs.

The plumber came out and determined a new toilet was needed. He removed the old toilet, installed a Kohler unit which has run perfectly ever since, flushes quickly, quietly and completely with no leaking. I don't believe it's required plunging more than a couple of times since then, whereas the previous toilet required it almost daily.

This was a project I had been meaning to do for several months. I called Chambliss on a Fri afternoon and spoke to Lindsey. She offered to send a plumber on Saturday. I told her there was no rush, so we set it up for Mon between 11am and 1pm. Lindsey answered my questions and told me that the cost would be based on the amount of time it took to complete the job. Lindsey called me on Mon at 11:45am to let me know a plumber was on his way. Skylar arrived about 40 minutes later. He was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable, and answered all questions I had. He completed the job in less than 30 minutes. The charge was their standard minimum of $90 for the first 30 minutes (less a 5% discount for Angie's List customers). I could have had a handyman do the job for less, but I preferred to use a plumber and I believe Chambliss' prices are probably more reasonable than many other plumbers. NOTE: the work was performed on Mon, 4/5/2010. For some unknown reason, Angie's system keeps changing the date to 4/4/2010.

They gave us an appointment for the very next day. Kevin called that morning to confirm the appointment time. He picked up the new softener on the way and showed up exactly on time. When he arrived I asked him to also look at two leaks we had. He completed the softener installation, trouble-shot the "leaks" we had (neither of which turned out to be due to the plumbing) and cleaned out the shower drain. Throughout the process, he gave me updates, to include a timing update so I could accurately project when I would be able to return to work. He walked me through use and care of the softener, answered all my questions and was done within 15 minutes of the original time estimate. When he left, he took the old softener with him for disposal. I can't speak highly enough of Kevin Chambliss and his company. They've been our plumbers since we bought the house in 1994. As we have always found, Kevin was courteous, prompt and thorough on this visit. We'll never use another plumber!

Chambliss was absolutely outstanding. They gave great advice, made recommendations on how to save money, and took an extra 10% off when no leaks were found despite the service call. Kevin (the owner) handled the issue personnally and was excellent. I highly recommend them.

The first time they called before they came but the second time they didn't. But they showed up right at the time they had told me so that was not a big deal. The work was completed both times in a quick and efficient manner and they left the area in the condition it was when they got there. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

They are good and they are still my plumbers. He is competitive in pricing. He gave me a sticker for the refrigerator. He is really good. Their people that they send out are pretty professional and know what they are doing. They are licensed and everything. They showed up on time. I like their suggestions and they know code. They made some suggestions on my water heater and things that I could have done. He said that the PRV valve only last 3-5 years and that is what I had been told. Unfortunately I will have to replace it again because that is their lifetime. I like they tell the customer about things. They answer any of my questions right away. I was interested in putting in one of the instant water heaters, but he told me that because of the hard water, it is not a good idea. They rely on good water quality and if you have bad water, they are going to break down. They are so expensive. In the past, he connected a water line to my icemaker that is located in the utility room. It is working fine. The first time they sent out one plumber and the second time they sent a journeyman and an apprentice who were both very informative and clean. They were on time and did exactly what they were supposed to do.

Called Chambliss & asked if they provided service to my location. She stated they did & set up an appointment for "first appointment on Monday" (5 days later). As I was waiting for their arrival, I received a call from the same woman I spoke with earlier. She stated I was out of their area & they could not come. They should have called 5 days earlier, or at least given me a referral to someone in my area.

Great..will use Chambliss Plumbing, again. Very prompt on a very bad weather day.

The plumber came out and did the job. The price that he charged seemed a bit high, but everything else about the plumber was good.

Rocky road here. Some mis-communication between owner and worker. Could not complete job on first visit. A more experienced worker came out on second day and had the job finished quickly. Other than the inconvenience of the 2nd visit the owner went out of his way to make sure I was 100% satisfied - and I am.

Our water softening system was leaking. We called several water softening companies to get a general idea of what might be wrong. We thought of Chambliss since they had worked on our water heater. They said they would try and repair it, but chances are it would have to be replaced (which is what most companies said). When calling for info, Chambliss' prices ranged from comparable to a lot lower and since we were happy with the work they did on our water heater, we were glad to be able to use their reliable company again. They were prompt, professional and cleaned up after themselves. While here, they gave us a price for a reverse osmosis system. Again, their prices were comparable and they were not pushy about installing it since they were there. I was more anxious than they were. Great service, great company.
