Carnival Custom Painting

Brad's crew made siding repairs and painted our 1930s one story stone home's windows, doors plus some additions that have wood siding. I found the price to be reasonable and Brad to be responsive and fair. I also like that Carnival offers a 3 year warranty and applied two coats of premium Sherwin Williams paint as I requested and was able to match the colors selected. Brad did inform me that he would be on vacation the week I needed the work done but I had a deadline to meet. Brad did take my calls and was responsive even though he was on vacation. The crew was very nice and polite. There were some glitches due to Brad's absence but Brad had the guys correct these upon his return. I was impressed with Brad in his ability to stand by his work and make things right. I will definitely use Carnival painting again as their estimates are reasonable, the end result of the work was of good quality and I am pleased with the overall outcome. Thank you Brad!

Brad was punctual, professional, called the day before to confirm appointment. He brought two young men who actually did the painting. They were neat, polite and did a very good job, even re-hung the bathroom mirror. I provided the paint. I would use Carnival--Brad Matajek for future painting jobs.

Carnival painting did a fantastic job. I had pickled cabinets that were maple with a grey wash on them from the 90's. They were in need of a makeover. I had 3 different companies come out and look at the job and provide a quote. I was impressed with Brad from the beginning. He understood what I wanted, white cabinets and black on the island. He explained the process and answered all my questions. Carnival, I felt, was the best deal for the quality they promised and a guarantee was also provided. His crew showed up and spent most of the 1st day with many guys prepping and sanding everything. They covered my floors and granite and appliances, as well as putting plastic draping around the entire kitchen. They applied a primer to all the cabinets. The next few days they completed painting the kitchen cabinets. Brad then came back and we did a walk through to make sure the job was done properly. Tere were some small touch ups that needed completed and he sent one of his crew out and took care of everything in a few hours. Brad made sure I was satisfied with the job, and then sent me the guarantee. I love the makeover. I will call Brad again soon for other painting that I need done. They do all kinds of panting jobs. I would recommend them for any job!

Brad is one of the finest tradesman and businessman I've dealt with in San Antonio. Professional, knowledgeable, along with being very fair and reasonable. Brad was so professional! On our initial meeting to look at the house, he called about 10 minutes prior to his arrival, a bit frantic that he was going to be late...I too, was caught in some unusual traffic so I wasn't concerned. I appreciated the notification. We walked around the house...he said he could do it for the 'Angie's Deal' amount. I asked about upgraded paint as well as replacing the board - he gave me a reasonable price for this additional service. We had to coordinate painting with our renters, so we scheduled and rescheduled a few times and we appreciated their flexibility. During the walk through I saw one area, the back door that had alot of detail work on it, that could have been better. Brad was very willing to come back that week and make it right. The work was done well and at a reasonable price. I've already recommended Carnival to my friends and will continue to use Brad's company.

I am very pleased with the results. They painted the exterior of my home which is a two story. Most of the first floor is brick so most of the painting was on the second story. Took 3 days: day one was cleaning and caulking; day two was the bulk of the painting; and day three was finishing up and clean up. The paint job looks great.

I contacted the company thru Angie's List and we made an appointment for 9:30 am on 26 August for them to come out and give me an estimate. No one from the company ever showed up or called to inform me that they would not be coming. After waiting for one hour with no communication from them, I sent them an email informing them that I was no longer interested in their services. I received no acknowledgement or apology. As one of the greatest problems and concerns as regards construction/home improvement service providers is their reliability and professionalism to show up on time and do what it is they say that they will do, I take this experience as a indication that this company may not be very reliable.

Brad himself showed up to check on everything once a day. He and his crew are very prompt, courteous, and responsive, and they always do a great job. We're very happy with Brad! I've recommended him to our neighbors. He'll most likely be the painter we use when we paint our rental property inside and out.

It took a bit longer than we had hoped to get the work started, but in all fairness, we had a very wet June so the company got back logged. Email communication was good. Any gaps in wood were caulked or repaired. They painted cleanly and followed all directions. Afterwards, the supervisor made sure everything was competed to our standards. We are very happy with the final result and would definitely use this company again.

We hired Carnival painting to paint the exterior of our home. We did buy a package on Angie's List and paid for the additional square footage. They provided excellent service (a 7 step process described on their website) that included power washing our house, making any necessary repairs, and caulking before painting. The workers were professional, showed up on time, were very courteous, cleaned up each day and did an excellent job. We were very happy with the results and have received several compliments from our neighbors. Brad was great to work with and we would definitely recommend Carnival Painting and hire them again.

They did an okay job. I wouldn't consider it a great job at all. The door got painted. I didn't think it was a really high quality job that they did. We've had others painting our house before and it wasn't as good as others have done. I certainly didn't think it was worth $300.

This was probably the most stress free I've ever been with contractors of any type. The 3 most important things you need to know for any project is Budget, Scope and Schedule. 1. I purchased the discount via Angie's List. My first order through Angie. Thanks Angie. Brad Matejek from CCP contacted me and provided a quote the next day. 2. Communication was quick and thorough and he showed up at my house at a time that was right for me. I was actually a few minutes late. My home was a bit larger than the advertised special and several major repairs were needed. 3. Brad sent a contract with the full scope 2 days after I approved the full estimate. 4. With my permission, they were able to start the job early, and they completed the job early. The workers showed up earlier than expected and work an entire day to get the house prepped on the first day. 5. They painted the second day, and did a great job. I was very pleased with their work and the house looks new again. I did not find any problem and cleanup was great. Couldn't tell that major work was performed earlier that day. My misunderstanding of the services almost caused a dispute. Brad was excellent in reassuring me that they would do what they promised at the price they quoted. I am not construction savvy and expected cost overruns and was shocked that extra work was done without overcharging me. I was very pleased with the work and the final cost. Several of my neighbors were quietly watching the whole process and dropped after the workers left to see the results. They were very impressed with the quality of work and the final outcome. I would recommend Carnival Custom Painting to anyone. They were on-time (early) and affordable and nice to work with. I plan to use them again for other home improvement projects in the future.

Angie's list is a great service for bridging the nexus between contractor and consumer. Nevertheless, I have found that all A+ contractors don't necesarily provide A+ service for this reason navigating the system is difficult in that regard. Carnival is truly an A+ vendor! The quality of the work and service that they provided was well above par. They worked with me to talor solutions that fit within my budget that enabled my dollar to stretch much further. Again dealing with contractors can be perilious, even on Angie's list, but with carnival you can prepare to tip your hat because they are the truth!! White Glove Service all the Way! I did not meet one representative that was not professional and will contact carnival first for additional contracting needs.

Carnival did a fine job of working around the inclimate weather. Their staff was timely, friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and even came back to paint a piece of trim which our carpenter added after Carnival had finished their painting. I would definitely use their services again. This doesn't mean that if you expect to get stuff for the same prices you would have paid in the sixties that you'll be happy with them.

We had not re-stained the door in over 9 years, so the wood was very dry and the original stain was badly faded. My husband didn't have time to stain the door, so I was thrilled to see the offer through Angie's List. Brad at Carnival did a great job of communicating with me. We were getting a lot of rain, so the job had to be postponed several times - but Brad always let me know. When his employee came, he carefully covered the floor, sanded the door, stained it, and cleaned up. I was surprised that he didn't apply a sealer, but when I called Brad about it he told me that the stain had a built in sealer. Still, he offered to come out and give our door a 2nd coat. His employee came out a few days later to sand and re-stain the door - and it looks great. I'd definitely use Carnival Custom Painting again.

This guy Brad, he came out after I purchased the deal. He look at my house and he said that all the exterior like break the near. But I wanted was the under roof, soffit, ridges all of that painted. The first day, he send out two boys and a man. The two boys, they stood at the garages just like trying to creep the wood on the garages. They took all day doing that. The man who is with them didn’t took care all the rest. I wasn’t very impressed with them. In the third day, professional painter came. In the end of 4 to 5 hours, they’re done and you can tell a professional from non-professional. They did the unworked with the flat paint and the one didn’t do my front door. So, day came back and did my front door but they did it with the flat paint instead of an oil base. Now, I become so very suspicious. And Brad never came back and I have complains about. Another guy came and I don’t know who he is. He came here to collect so, he listens to the complaints that I had. He was little agitated by my complaints. I don’t know but he didn’t go smoothly.

After I bought the service to get my front door refinished, I was contacted through the Angie's list App. to set up the appointment. The project was delayed due to rain, but I was notified the day before. Later, I was contacted again to set up another time. Carnival let me choose the date that worked best for me. The painter came to my house at 10:30am and began stripping the old finish from the door. I expected him to remove the door from the hinges because that was in the description provided by Carnival on Angie's List. Instead, the painter worked on the door while it was still in the door frame. I asked him about removing the door to work on it better, but the painter said, "no, that's not how we do it." Overall, it took about three hours for the painter to complete the job. Although there are a few "runs" in the finish, the door looks really nice and should withstand the elements for several more years before it needs to be refinished.

The crew showed up on time, covered everything, removed the switch plates and painted. They also removed the blinds and valances. They cleaned up and left me paint for touch up. It was an Excellent job and I let my neighbors know..

Was necessary for workman to return to touch missed spot on doorframe. No arguments and came promptly. I am very pleased with door, it looks better than new. I would recommend this company.

Working with Carnival was an overall pleasant experience. Brad worked with me on color choices and permitted use of the special offered to accommodate my painting needs. I would recommend giving Carnival Painting a call to anyone
