C.A.P.P.S. PLUMBING

Spoke with Jackie (Art's wife) and scheduled the appointment. As always, Art was on time. He removed the old disposal and installed the new disposal. He checked for leaks and made sure that the unit was working correctly. I'm not sure, but I think the kitchen floor around the sink and under the sink was cleaner when he left than when he arrived! Art has been our plumber for the past 2-3 years, and he is, hands down, the best plumber I have ever worked with over the past 30 years. His pricing is very reasonable and his work is quick and top notch. We have sent emails to our friends and several have reported back with the same results. Also, no job is too small or too large for Art.

Very professional, show up when expected, did a great job, cleaned up after himself and there was not any surprises. Which is a great surprise to a home owner when things go off without additional expenses. Will definitely use them again.

Art from CAPPS was polite, professional and kind. I'm very happy with his service.

He was here for many hours working hard at fixing everything. He was friendly and professional. Everything he worked on is fixed and in good working condition now. We will be calling him out again to replace our hot water heater and to install a soft water system. I highly recommend Capps plumbing, they are trustworthy and did a stellar job, and I thought that the bill was very reasonable for how hard and how long he worked on everything. What took the most time was diagnosing the cause of the clogged pipes and unclogging them. The chunks that came out of those pipes were big and there were a lot of them.

He came to look at the job but did not have the correct materials to install. We asked for quarter turn valves that he did not carry with him. He made a note of everything that he wanted to get and said he would contact us again to reschedule. After 1 week, I did not hear anything from them so I called and there was a misunderstanding. His wife thought we were going to get the materials and call them to reschedule. So she was waiting on us to call. After calling, they rescheduled and he came to fix everything. In the evening, the same day he came to do the job, we noticed that there was water dripping. We called them back and they offered to come that night but we said that it was okay to wait until the next morning. We put a tupper under the leak and when we went to bed, shut off the water to the house as it was dripping a drop per second. He came out the next morning and just tightened things up. It was a quick fix but, unfortunately it was not tight enough the first time around. I was a litle dissapointed in the price but, maybe I think plumbers in general are expensive. I also wish they could narrow down the window that he can come. They basically have 8-12 or 1-5. That is a very large window of time. We have not had any problems since but the miscommunication (not hearing from them for a week) and having him come out again for a quick fix would probably cause us to go elsewhere next time we need a plumber.

From returning my phone call very promptly to completing faster than promised, everything in my dealings with CAPPS Plumbing was excellent. The price was reasonable, the work done quickly. The plumber himself, Art, was clean, efficient, very knowledgeable, more than capable and articulate in discussing my needs. This is now my plumber!

Called the office and my call was returned within the hour. Explained everything to Jackie and she said it could be done tonight but it might be late. I had a gas leak, the city turned off my gas and I needed hot water for my family. Jackie called back and said it would be around 5. Great. Jackie called around 530 and explained the guy got stuck at a job but would still go to my house if that was okay. Please! He arrived and I showed him everything. He was very polite and quickly started work. He found more gas leaks than the city did and showed me them. He said he could cap the lines and come by in a few days to finish because it was going to take about 4 hours to fix everything. He capped the gas lines in the attic and fixed the leak around the water heater. I could have hot water but no cooking. I can survive without the stove but not hot water. He fixed it all and is scheduled to come out during the week. CPS showed up to turn on my gas and when the serviceman looked at my bill he said "that's all he charged you?" Then the serviceman got the number and said he would call this guy if he needed anything. CAAP did a great job and they didn't cost a fortune. I highly recommend them. I am so glad I used Angie's list!

I had a water leak at my house when I was on vacation , I call two different company never heard back from them. Then I called C.A.P.P the owner was friendly and showed up right away and the cost was unbeliever I will use this company again and tell all my friends as well. We have 2 outside water connections. One had had a small drip to it for months. The other faucet was on our deck ans started to leak very badly, very quickly. They both quickly became major water wasters. My husband turned off the water to the house and was able to fix one. The one that had leaked the worst he couldn't fix. That meant no water. By then it was late afternoon, but we knew we had to get a plumber to fix the deck faucet. We called C.A.P.P.S. and the person he spoke to suggested he send someone early the next morning so we would not have the after hours charge. I couldn't believe a company could be thinking of how WE could save money. Anyway, the plumber can about 9:00 the next morning. I was impressed by the neatest and cleanliness of his appearance. My husband showed he the problem faucet,and, about 20 minutes later, it was done and the water was back on. After he left I asked my husband how much he charged. I was amazed. The bill was very, very reasonable. We were totally happy with the entire experience.

Called SAWS requesting a pressure test when we noticed we were loosing water pressure in our home especially in the mornings. SAWS representative asked if we had a water softner and, if we did, we needed to bypass it to determine if the softner was the problem. Well, it was the softner but when the Culligan repairman came to fix it he tested our water pressure and it was in the 100-110 psi range. he recommended that I call a plumber to check it out. As always, we checked with Angie and found that C.A.P.P.S. Plumbing had an excellent service record and called them on a Thursday 11-15-12 and scheduled the repair for Monday 11-19-12. We were not dissapointed! Start to finish they were professional, courteous and understood that an RN had no idea what a pressure release valve was or why I needed one. The lady who answered the call, I later found out was the wife of the owner and plumber who came out to our home, was courtesous, very informative. The plumber arrived at our home at the time he said he would and called us the night berfore to confirm our appointment. he was quick, professional and when he left his work area was cleaner than when he arrived. He also informed me that our home owners insurance would not cover damage to our home if they determined that the damage was caused by the water pressure being above 80psi. So not only did they do a GREAT JOB!, but probably saved us a bunch of money down the road. I asked the plumber that came to our home to leave me a bunch of his business cards so I can recommend them to everyone else in the neighborhood.

Overall we had a very positive experience.

Called and asked the company to look at my mother's dishwasherThe woman told me that they did not work on the appliance. I told her I understood but I wanted them to check the lines because the sink was not draining and water was backing up into diswasher. She was very nice and said her husband would come out and take a look. Tried 3 plummbers prior and no one would come out. Turns out I did need a dishwasher but they also snaked my mothers sink and she needed that service. I liked her honesty and her husband was very respectful to my mother.

When he arrived, he said he would not go on the roof because his equipment is too heavy and he's not insured for that. We had to pay the $50 service call (we had a $20 coupon that they would not honor) for something that they knew about up front. They also said that we would not let him in the house to look at the toilet, which is not the case. It was very hot outside and we insisted that he come in and cool off; he never asked to do a diagnostic on the toilet at this time. Initially they were responsive and punctual, but it was downhill after something came up.

This company provided excellent service. It began with a neighbor commenting on a slight gas odor in my parent's home.After calling 911 it was determined that leaks were found coming from a gas stove and the fireplace. The gas was turned off and I began my search for a resonsive plumber to fix the leaks in a hurry. I need to let you know that I live in Atlanta and located C.A.P.P.S through Angie's List. They called me back promptly and long distance to boot. We spoke on the phone. Arthur took care of the problems and my parents couldn't be more pleased. Thank you! Thank you!

I was very pleased with the work. They showed up on time and fixed the problems quickly. I haven't had any problems with the items that were repaired since the work was completed. The plumbers were very professional. I will definitely call CAPPS for my future plumbing repairs.

They were prompt. They were doing work on a rental unit with tenants and I couldn’t be there. I told them that and they handled it fine. They called the tenants and took care of making sure that a time was set up that they could be there. They did the work and everything was done really well, even though I wasn’t there looking over the guy’s shoulder. He was in and out and I never saw him at that visit, but the work was done very well. It was done quite promptly and I didn’t have to worry about whether he was there or not. They were able to handle everything.

Early in the morning I noticed a large water puddle in my garage. My water heater was leaking water at a fast clip. I immediately turned off the source of the water at the pipe in the wall and called Jackie immediately. I told her my story and the fact that the heater unit was, in fact, 20 years old. Could Art please make it out to my house that very day? She returned my call within 15 minutes and assured me that she would fit me in as soon as possible. Even though the water was off the unit continued to drip water so I had to stay home and change out towels and rags in order for the water not to continue through the garage. Art arrived in the early afternoon and immediately diagnosed the problem. He took the old unit out - which was almost half filled with sediment - and drove to the plumbers store to get me a new one. By 6 that evening he had everything installed and I was ready to take a long, hot shower! I trust Art implicitly and believe his work to be stellar. I have been working with him for over 10 years and have recommended him to many friends. Thanks to you both for making my problem go away so quickly!
