C & N Painting & Minor Repairs

Excellent experience from beginning to end! Nancy returned my call within an hour of getting my voicemail. She scheduled the estimate for the next day at 1pm. She showed up promptly at 1pm and had the quote to me sooner than she'd stated. Work was scheduled to begin 2 days later. She said her crew would arrive at 8:30am. They arrived on the dot. Diego looked at the job then gave me a detailed overview of how the day would go. He explained every step and how long it would take. When they were finished, I couldn't even tell anyone had been in my home. Everything was put back exactly where it was supposed to be and there wasn't a speck of dirt/dust anywhere. They covered everything with dropcloths and hung plastic to protect the rest of the house. And the crack is completely gone -- can't tell where it was. Highly, highly recommend this company and would most certainly use them again.

It went perfect. All the way around it went well, they were very good with communicating with both my sister and I. They explained everything to us, there were no surprises and they had great communication. I really liked that they offered us suggestions that I hadn't even thought of.

After reading some of the other positive reviews on Angie's List, we contacted C&N for a quote to update our interior. Originally, we were only planning to paint, but their competetive prices allowed us to also remove the popcorn from the ceilings of our vaulted common areas. The greatest, most consistant aspect of working with C&N was their overall professionalism. That statement goes for not only the owners, but also for Martin and his team who were tasked with working on our project. I added a 'B' for punctuality only because the project took much longer than intially estimated. That being said, Martin and his team demonstrated an attitude dedicated to quality and cleanliness. They arrived on time everyday. They were very methodical in taping/sheeting off areas they were working on for popcorn removal, to minimize any debris and dust around the house. Once finished for the day, there was NEVER a mess left behind. I would MUCH rather have a team dedicated to this service than one who rushes through the work and leaves slop behind. THANK YOU! In addition, C&N were extremely flexible in working around our abnormally busy schedules to get the rest of the work in. They only collected payment for work that was finished, and were not pushy with us to try to rush the rest of the job. Again, another extremely high mark for professionalism. Thank you, overall, for your customer service, and dedication to cleanliness/quality. The comments on Angie's List regarding the cleanliness were the reason we called to begin with, and will probably be the reason we call back in the future for other projects.

This is the second time I have used C&L. Cynthia and Nancy are the best! I would trust them with any home repair job. Their prices are fair and their crew are careful, respectful, and know what they're doing. C&N check in before the job to discuss details, and inspect all work when it is completed before accepting payment. They are punctual and stay in communication throughout the job. I'll happily call them again.

Had several cracks in drywall due to house settling. Nancy came, inspected, gave us an estimated cost, all very pleasant professional.Cost seemed very reasonable for the amount of work. Arrived to perform the work on the agreed upon date on time with three young men who actually did the work. THey were also very pleasant and professional. Kept floors covered during repairs and left it very clean. Very pleased with repairs. Would definitely use them again.

When I called, I was told they do not service the Pleasanton area.

I love C&N. They gave me a reasonable estimate and then completed the work as discussed and on time. The job was completed in a very professional manner. They cleaned up after they were done. They took care of everything. They purchased all of the supplies and did not pressure me for money to fund the supplies. I trust them and will hire them again.

tI couldn't be happier. Nancy, Cynthia and the crew were on time, courteous, professional and a real pleasure to work with. I thought the pricing was quite fair and the work was top notch. It took 3 days and they were here early every morning and worked hrough the whole day each day - they really stuck with it. The first day and stayed at home with them the whole time. By the second day, I felt I could run an errand or two and return home a little later. Everything was well taken care of. Nancy and Cynthia were prompt, very responsive and checked in with me regularly, to make sure everything was going smoothly.

It went very well. The ladies came tom my home on the south side at the scheduled time and were very easy to work with, very friendly, honest and professional. A few days later they emailed me the estimate, I called and we scheduled the job. I had intended on them painting during the week while I was at work. Due to scheduling conflicts between the company and myself, they came out on Saturday at the scheduled time and painted from 8:30-3:00. I left the house, ran errands and the room was painted by the time I returned. Martin and his crew were very professional and treated my home with respect. They finished painting at 2:30pm and noticed I had purchased the wrong size of blinds for my window. The crew waited while I went and exchanged the blinds. They went above and beyond the call. I did not realize the difference a good paint job makes on a house. I don't need to look any further and plan on calling them out again for all my painting/handyman jobs.

I appreciated C&N's careful attention to detail and skilled workmanship. Carol and Nancy provided a great service with seasoned workers. They came by daily to ensure support for their crew and our satisfaction as customers. The job was completed in a timely manner and at a very competitive price. I will definitely call on them for our additional painting and minor repair needs.

The ladies and their crew were punctual and professional. They did an excellent job all the way around. We have an older home with several settling cracks in the walls and ceilings. They completed everything over the course of 2 days. Never had to call them or ask when they would start working. Everything was done exactly as we agreed upon. The two gentleman did fantastic work, were careful not to damage any surrounding areas, including the hardwood floors. Cleaned everything up when they were done, looking just like it had before we called them. I would not hesitate to call C&N Painting in the future for any type of repair or painting job needed. A+ all the way. Highly recommended.

Cynthia and Nancy were very easy and professional to work with. Their team of three painters was prompt every day of the scheduled work. This job was completed over 4 days (Thu-Sat, Mon) with an average work schedule of 0830-1500 to include a 30-45 minute lunch break. Each day started with a thorough taping and covering of all surfaces to ensure paint only went where it was supposed to. At the end of each day they cleaned up all taping/covering and swept up after themselves. The $2960 covered labor and supplies, not including the paint. Two coats of paint were applied to all surfaces. I have no complaints and would definitely hire again.

C&N is run by 2 women who, in my wife's words, are extremely respectfull to the homes they work in. They assure their prospective clients that the job will be performed in a professional & courteous manner (I would hate to see what they do to their workers that do not live up to the homeowners expectations) in a reasonable time and at a competitive price. I should probably have my wife write this since we have done business with these women for years, but they provide a level of comfort by treating the homes of their customers as if it were their own. They are conscientious enough to respect the homes they are working in and making the homeowner, usually the wife, feel comfortable and minimizing any concerns they may have. In our situation, the leak occured near Christmas and they knew we were having our kids and grandkids in - they adjusted their schedule so they could at least get the sheet rock up, repair the damage, and clean up the dining room for our Christmas dinner. I would highly recommend C&N for their competence, professionalism, and the comfort level they gave my wife during the process - well done ladies!

Cynthia and Nancy are outstanding. Every detail was covered when putting the estimate together, and they were nice enough to stop by at the beginning of the job to make sure everything was progressing well. They were completely understanding when we had a last minute change of heart regarding paint color, and even suggested a couple ways to make it less expensive. The painters themselves did a terrific job - not only painting where needed but also patching holes and caulking the trim/molding from end to end just to keep everything flush. With a newly purchased home, that's one less thing I now have to worry about. Can't thank C & N enough!

C and N painting are the best when it comes to painting and overall wall repairs. Everything they do is high quality. All their painters are trustworthy and VERY punctual. I enjoyed meeting this team and have already referred them to many friends of mine who also LOVE their work.

Diego repaired a portion of the bathroom ceiling which was damaged by a hot water heater leak. The water heater is located in the attic....go figure!! He replaced the sheetrock and applied new texture to match the existing texture on the rest of the ceiling. I cannot even tell where he did the repair!! He did an AMAZING job! This is the second time I have used C&N and I highly recommend them.

We recently retired from the Air Force and moved back into our home after a 4-year absence. Our house is only 8 years old, but we decided years ago we wanted to change the paint scheme from the original builder's single color tan paint. We used Angie's List to contact painters then met with 5 contractors. Of all the estimates, not only was C & N Painting the lowest but more importantly we felt most comfortable with Cynthia and Nancy. They completely understood what we wanted to do with our paint scheme and during the original meeting pointed out some minor wall imperfections and let us know they would repair them as part of their service. Shortly after our meeting, we received a fully-detailed labor-only estimate with an estimated number of gallons and costs for the paint. Rather than including the paint cost in the contract, they buy as needed at a reduced contractor rate and passed the savings direct to us. Cynthia came on the first day of the job to introduce Diego and his 2-person crew (Martin and Jerry). On the second and subsequent days, Diego's crew included Jerry's and Martin's dads, so we have a 5-person crew everyday after the first. They promptly showed up and started work by 8:30 every morning. The entire crew was meticulously neat throughout the entire work day/ and carefully removed window coverings, ceiling lights and switch plate covers throughout the house. Since we were also doing other renovations and remodeling at the same time, Diego would adjust his crews' work areas based on the other workers in the home. We have a fair amount of trim throughout the house and used a few different colors on accent walls and they Either Nancy or Cynthia (or both) stopped by every morning to see how the work was going and to chat with us. They were both such a pleasure to work with and we enjoyed the time we spent with Diego and his crew. Since they've already painted our entire house, I don't expect to have the opportunity to hire them again, but I have already recommended them to friends and neighbors. If you are looking for a pleasant, enjoyable experience with professional painters who care about what they do and how they do it, then talk to C & N Painters!

Due to unanticipated cost of sewer repair caused by house leveling we finally decided to cancel plastering and painting due to budget restraints. Nancy at H & R was very understanding when we finally decided to not have services done on short notice. Very professional company and worked with us very well. I do not hesitate to recommend to others.

First, their bid for the project was less than half of another bid I got. I still felt it was a little high, but I'm not complaining. The owners came out to the house to see what was needed, put in the bid, scheduled the work. The work was perfect and done on time.

She was real good. They were really professional, had good price, showed me a lot of pictures of their work, had good references but were too busy. She was about four and a half months away before she could get to my project. I would definitely hire them. Their price was fair.

These ladies were a pleasure to work with. They stayed in touch with me until they were able to get me on the schedule. Very easy to work with on scheduling and choosing paint colors. The guys who came out and did the work were very nice, professional, and fast. They cleaned and prepped the gate/fence one morning just before the rain moved in and returned early the next morning to apply two coats of paint. Looks great. Couldnt be happier. They did a much better job than whoever painted it before. The ladies came later that day after I'd had a chance to make sure I was happy with the job and I paid them in full at that time. They left the remaining paint with me.

They were excellent. They were nice and quiet to have in your house. It was like having somebody in your family come in and paint. They were very meticulous with the job and how they painted. They were very professional. The cleanup was perfect. They got the job done over 2 days.

I called C & N and within a couple of days they were out to look at the work that needed to be done. They were on time and professional. Cost was the only factor in us not using them, but I was probably naïve on how much the repairs would cost

Nancy is wonderful. Reliable, reasonable, and does quality work in a highly professional manner. What more could you ask? It was a pleasure dealing with her and her worker, Diego. She got me penned in on her schedule very quickly, which I appreciated. I did not have to wait days or weeks to get the work done. Diego was extremely knowledgeable and took great care to achieve a high quality result. He was working in close proximity to a very expensive ceiling fixture and also had to keep repair both flush and within a small radius, or else I would have been required to repaint the entire ceiling. He accomplished this with no issue or problem, and the textures look like a perfect match to the surrounding areas. He is a drywall "artist!" I will definitely call on Nancy and C & N Painting and Minor Repairs again in the future!
