Description of Work: Did not respond to repeated contacts via phone, text and email. Contractor initally indicated that he wanted the job but then went silent.

Description of Work: We used Boulder Construction and we liked what they did. We live in a very old house and they put in central air. They had to retrofit part of the house. They took the air conditioner out and there was a hole in the wall. They filled in the wall. They were able to match the old panel exactly. They replaced a broken window. It was an old window with old trim. They had to order a specific dye to match the window.

Description of Work: We have used Boulder Construction Co. for the past nine years. They first did a remodel/renovation when we purchased our 1930's home in 2004. This involved a complete kitchen remodel, refinishing and painting all the interior walls and ceilings throughout house, refinishing old wood floors, bathroom tile installation, plumbing updates, carpet installation, enlarging closets, and installing new interior doors. We were thrilled with the results, top quality. They are very knowledgeable of all aspects of older home renovation. It's very different from new home construction. We contracted them a few years later, to do extensive work on our living room fireplace. The very old firebrick had a crack. This involved opening the plaster wall in the hall behind the fireplace, to assess the problem. They replaced the old firebrick, to repair the crack. The fireplace works great, and the firebrick is secure. They did an excellent job of protecting our living room furnishings during this process, involving black paint, plaster sanding, etc. Most recently, May 2011, they did a tub to walk-in shower remodel, removing the old porcelain tub, installing tile floor and surrounds, and double glass doors. It's beautiful and much safer! They also installed a new pull-down, folding attic ladder and insulation barrier, in our interior hall. We so appreciate their quality work, honesty, and thoroughness.
