Move into this house two years ago and inherited another pest control contractor as part of the purchase agreement. While they did do some termite abatement initially, I was not happy with follow up checks and could not get them to come out for third year extension. I found Bob Jenkins Pest Contol on Angie's List and gave them a call. The receptionist put me right through to Bob. I described my issues and he scheduled a technician to do an inspection on a day that fit my schedule. The tech call the day before to confirm. Mr. Eric Hartgraves arrived as scheduled and conducted a thorough inspection of my deck and fence. He found evidence of prior termite activity, but no active or live colonies. The inspection took about 40 minutes and he answered all my questions... I had many. Eric offered to check the inside of my house (no charge), but I declined as I did not feel it was warranted. He did take care of a couple of low hanging wasp nests. No charge. I truly appreciate Bob and Eric's professionalism. They took my concerns seriously and didn't try to up sell their service. Afford ability, honesty and integrity, what more could you ask for?

After taking in a couple of stray cats for a week or so we found that our two cats and our house were completely infested with fleas. After two months of trying over the counter products from the pet store, we decided to get the house professionally treated for fleas. John was at our house promptly at 8:30am and he got right to work. He answered all of my questions and was done treating our small house and our large lot by 10:30am. John used an all natural product that was very effective. I was so impressed with the work and the customer service, I now plan to have them out once a quarter to treat my home for pests.

Very well! He was prompt, took care of some things outside the house that he was not obliged to do (kill a couple fire-ant colonies), inspected the mushroom-like vents in the attic where he found a tear & told me how to fix it..

During remodeling I discovered some carpenter ants in the wall of my home. I called Bob Jenkins pest control and they were really friendly and setup a time for their representative (Scott) to come by to spray. Scott came ten minutes earlier than the appointment time which was fine with me. He was really nice and knowledgeable. Scott sprayed in the attic, inside the house, outside the house and sprayed where I discovered the ants. The work is guaranteed for 90 days so I hope this took care of my ant problem. I'm considering having them come every quarter for maintenance. I will recommend them to neighbors and friends.

I felt the man performing the job was efficient, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. He answered all questions intelligently without exaggerating the circumstances - no scare stories.

Initially all the company was going to do to control the rats in my attic was lay 4 bait boxes in my back yard. After one week of still seeing rats coming and going from the attic, I got them to add 2 snap traps in the attic. They did originally expect me to handle any dead rats on the property but I am incapable of doing so. Plus, dead or live rats wandering about the yard and porch are an extreme danger of disease to my dogs. We quickly caught 3 adults and 1 baby in the attic. After 3 weeks with live rats in the attic the company laid 8-9 traps which came up empty. After 4 weeks, I believe we have solved the rat problem. The service I paid for ($200) did not include closing the opening they were coming and going from. I had to hire another contractor for that.

They were punctual and very courteous. They explained what they were doing and why.

They have really good service. I have never had to complain once. They come out yearly and do a routine check to make sure the pests are not still in my home and if there is, then they treat it again. We have used this company for years and we haven't found a better one yet.

They are very knowledgeable and that's why I have been using them for the last ten years. The owner studied a lot on the subject and he is very good at recommending us products that are safe for the kids. They leave a report when they finish with the chemicals they used and the price.

Since they began treating my home, I have never had a pest problem. Upon moving into my home, there were some mice. They treated the area and the mice were no longer. They are very prompt. I appreciate their scheduling of the same person for my home on a quarterly basis. I have used their services for 3 years. For an additional charge of $84.50 per month, I have them spray for mosquitoes. A customer can choose this service from April to October. I actually request the mosquito spray for summer months only. They contact me prior to the quarterly treatments by telephone.

Great company. They offered me a discount upfront when they found out I found them through Angie's List. I didn't even have to ask! Scott, the technician, was right on time and made sure he didn't track mud through the house. They came out two weeks later after a few more sightings of pretty lively roaches. Since then the only roaches I've seen are dead ones. Scott gave me a detailed explanation of what he was doing and answered all my questions. We bought a yearly service plan from them.

I called to set the appointment. I spoke with Bob Jenkins himself, which was surprising and cool. He was pleasant and explained the charges and procedure completely. Tech arrived 20 minutes early for appointment. The invoice did not have Angie's List discount on it, even though I had discussed the discount when I set up the appointment. Tech called office and the invoice was quickly adjusted to reflect discount. Tech completed the work efficiently. He was pleasant and professional. No problems!

I think this is best pest control service in South Texas. We've used a couple for both treatment and inspection, and Jenkins runs the most professional, most qualified, most good-natured business in the area. Our technician, Tracy, was informative, polite, and a pleasure to interact with on a personal and pest-control professional level. The work is top-notch, the service is what it should be, and the people are personable. This is what a service company aspires to be.

We initially hired Bob Jenkins Pest Control on the advice of our neighbors. They are very pleasant, cooperative, and helpful. It has been the same personnel every time, and we have always had a great experience. We also know that if there are any problems or if they might have missed something, they come right back out to take care of it. Most recently we had wood ants, which I understand are very hard to control. After they were out we didn't see even one left.

I called about 5:00 on one day and had an appointment for 1:00 the following day. I was told that they take pride on being on time--sure enough, the tech was even a couple of minutes early. The technician suggested checking the attics and the garage to be sure that nothing had gotten inside. He explained the bait box, "slow kill", and the safety for pets. I have not seen the rat on the bird feeder any more, so I'm assuming that it worked. I found the technician to be professional, personable, and knowledgeable.

The pest control worker explained process and answered questions. He showed a great attention to detail.

People were very courteous. Was 15 minutes late for appointment but called to let me know. Didn't give 10% discount initially but when I questioned it, sent me a check for the 10% with a card and apology. Work completed in a timely manner. Pleased with service.

Called them twice in two months. The first time was for rampant ants. The tech explained how to distinguish our ants from carpenter ants, and he put down a lot of boric acid. I'd been using boric acid and diatomaceous earth myself already, and I dislike toxic pesticides--but of course the boric acid washed away with the next rain, and I didn't feel like the visit was worth what we'd paid. The second visit was for rats, and I was quite pleased with their work. We got the same tech that visited the first time (Tracy), and he explained how and where to plug up holes in our walls. He put down coumadin bait and a few glue traps, gave us some extra glue traps, and came back within a week to check on us (for free). We caught a rat the very first night, and we haven't had any problems since, so I guess they took the bait and died.

Very nice. First time job. No second visit needed.
