Description of Work: Major ant problem and general insect treatment as we have not had any professional treatment in years. Took off outlet covers in kitchen, treated ant entry areas outside and explained what was causing problem including things out of our control (drought). Said we might need further treatment but to call if it was necessary. did not try to upsale to yearly plan but I'm sure would have explained it had we asked. Looked for signs of other damage.

+ -1 moreFirst treatment did work but weeds came back. But as I have been on the quartely plan, the weeds do not exist. It's a beautiful yard now. Saved me a lot of time to have to do this myself. I can now stay on top of this myself.
Description of Work: Had a bad weed problem in mulch and flower bed areas since moving in. Called Bob Jenkins because I heard they were the best through a friends reccomendation.

+ -1 moreThey are very good and we don't have bugs; we moved into the house last year and saw some carpenter ants and some other things but we don't see them now. My technician, Terry, is very sociable and friendly. He feels like somebody who is a friend who comes to treat our house. He talks to my cats and is likeable. I found this company through Angie's List so I got a discount when we first started with them last year. They call me to remind me of the appointments so I don't have to remember that; I appreciate that. It is very effective, punctual and pro-active on their part. Everybody in the office is very pleasant and easy to work with.
Description of Work: I use Bob Jenkins Pest & Lawn Services for pest control. They treat my entire house for bugs.

+ -1 moreWe started to hear lots strange noises in the walls of our house. We waited a week hoping it was just a squirrel and it would go away. When it didn't and got worse I called Bob Jenkins Pest. I called on a Thursday and made an appointment for Saturday morning. A man named Jim called ten minutes before arriving. He went into the attic of our house, which is only accessible from the outside. When he came down he said he could see pecans and droppings and he suspected it was rats. He also found a few places where they were getting in though our two year old metal roof (that's another story). He explained how he would set traps in the attic and put poison under the house (pier and beam) and then come back and get the traps. He gave me a price and took off the 10% Angie's List discount without me asking. He set the traps on New Years Day and when he came back a week or so later he had trapped two giant rats and one of his traps had been carried off by something that was too large to get to the bait. He left two traps in the attic and two by the side of the house. We got the holes in our roof repaired and haven't heard any weird noises since. We were very satisfied with the service and the price.
Description of Work: Got rid of rats and raccoons(?) in our attic and left four traps.

It was a little challenging because my daughter had moved back in and we had furniture and boxes all over the house. The exterminator was also not able to spray the attic because our attic ladder was broken. He explained his actions thoroughly and offered the annual plan that would send someone out once every three months. We decided not to sign up right away and the man said we could sign up later. A couple of days later we received a courtesy call from Mr Jenkins following up to make sure everything was satisfactory. The roaches disappeared but weeks later we discovered ants in our kitchen pantry. The same exterminator came out on 8/28/12 and sprayed our lawn and the perimeter of our home. He charged us for the second trip, $189, because we did not sign up for the automatic plan and it was beyond the initial warranty period. We still have ants.

As expected after the exterminator came we saw a bit more of them as they fled the house or died. A month later....no more bugs. Perfect. In addition to taking care of the problem they arrived promptly and behaved professionally. We will certainly be continuing this contract!

Service techniction showed up on time, was very curtious and went to work. He answered my questions and provided more information about pests in my area. We signed up for regular treatments. I get a call about a week before the service is due and I'm able to adjust the date to best fit my schedule. I have gotten the same techniction each time I've had service wich also saves me time and adds to myh comfort because he now knows the problem areas. I would definetly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreThe first visit (from Tracey) went very well. He was very thorough, especially in the attic areas (it is not floored and he had to climb around the rafters!). He was very punctual, knowledgeable and nice. I explained I did not want to kill any critters; just wanted to keep them out of my house. He was very understanding and suggested since we were not sure if there was recent activity, to put up "trap cameras" to see if they caught any movement, and they would come back out for a follow up and to "seal" the areas he had found where they could be getting in. I set up the appt (Angela in the office was very nice and helpful), and in the meantime tried to make my attic unappealing (loud music, leaving the light on, etc). The follow up appt also went very well. They were again very punctual, and extremely thorough in sealing the potential ingress areas on the roof. Since there was no indication of recent activity, no actual "animal removal" was required. In addition, I was given an "Angie's List" discount without having to ask. I would definitely recommend these nice folks!
Description of Work: I had heard noises in my attic and was worried about critters getting in. Checked Angie's List and found many good reviews for this company, so called. A technician came out and determined that there was some minor evidence of squirrel and/or rat activity in the attic. He also checked around the outside of the house and identified several areas of possible ingress.

+ -1 moreHe was here on Saturday morning, he finished before noon.When I called him he came right out and I assume he did the right thing, but it rained, and what else you can expect a person to do and how can I rate him on quality. I would not probably use him again the fact that it rained right after that whatever he did is of no good. I thought he is also pretty expensive for me.
Description of Work: I used Bob Jenkins Pest & Lawn Services in May last year. They sprayed the yard and before midnight we had a torrential rain after that it rained from the next day.

+ -1 moreNoel came to rid us of pesky bugs and did a great job. He was so thorough and discussed the whole thing with me: what we wanted and what he was going to do and how things worked and so on. I was very pleased with his demeanor and professionalism. He was careful with our home and yard and explained the procedure very well and answered any questions I had (regarding safety of pets and kids around the bug spray stuff). We will certainly call upon this company next time we need pests controlled.

+ -1 moreIn the middle of replacing my roof we discovered a bad wasp nest. before the work could be complete we had to have it treated. I called for a few bids and this guy had a great reviews. They came, sprayed the entire house inside and out including the attic and detached garage and yard. The pesticide had a nice mint smell and we haven't had any trouble since.

After emailing the company they responded quickly with email and telephone contact and within a couple of hours the most informed, professional, patient and kind technician (Noel) came to our home and explained and assessed the situation. He took the time to ask us what we've seen & experienced & then he educated us as to the unpleasant facts of rat life in SA. I never imagined this experience could be as comforting and encouraging as this has been so far. We have been telling everyone we know !
Description of Work: Technician Noel came out promptly and after assessment, explaining, etc, stayed into the evening to prepare and set out traps and had us with him throughout his work and explanations. He will return in 2 weeks and we will continue to work with him.

+ -1 moreWe had two different kinds of critters habitating our home. One of which only showed up in the wee hours of the morning. Spoke with Mr. Jenkins (the owner) regarding the above. He asked me to try and capture one or two of the tiny kitchen critters with scotch tape so they could identify upon arrival. Did so. Randy arrived early on the appointed morning. He answered all my questions in a professional manner, explaining to me where he would be spraying in and outside of our home. Randy identified our kitchen critters a tiny "black ants". Randy went about his work steadily and quietly. Upon completion Randy said we might see a very few of the pesky pests for a day or so, but that after that they should be all gone, and that should they return within 30 days to notify their company (Bob Jenkins - Pest Control). Randy also reminded me to discard the two rectangle traps (after 30 days) he placed on the back of the kitchen counters. Well it has been four days since Randy sprayed the eco-friendly solution - the black ants have been eradicated. And we found two of the other pests deceased. We thank you so very much Mr. Jenkins -----for your Superb Company and Professional Staff.
Description of Work: Set out two small rectangle shaped traps behind microwave oven and behind canister on the sink, after he applied a white glue like (eco - friendly) substance to the floor of the traps. sprayed inside and out side of our home with eco - friendly solution.
