+ -1 moreStarted having issues with fire ants coming into my house. No good with a 6 month old just starting to crawl. I called a few places and Bob Jenkins Pest was able to get someone out same day to take care of this issue. A couple of places were a bit cheaper than Bob Jenkins Pest Control however they were the only ones that could come out today. The person arrived right when they said he would. Was very knowledgable and started taking care of the problem straight away. Gave me a few suggestions on what I could do to prevent this kind of issue in the future. Overall everything was great.

+ 1 moreI submitted a request for the service after normal business hours for their next available P.M. appointment and was contacted first thing the next business day. The office staff were very friendly and professional and scheduled the service to meet my needs. I like the fact they scheduled a specific time and not one of those we'll be there sometime between 8:00 and next Thursday appointments. The technician arrived early which was nice as well. He was also very friendly and professional. He answered all my questions and told me when it would be safe to allow my dogs into the areas he treated. I also asked for a quote for lawn aeration and composting which he provided on site. He also briefly mentioned other services offered without any accompanying sales pressure. I'm very pleased with the service and will use Bob Jenkins Pest Control for any future needs.

+ -1 moreThey come every three months. They’re very good. Martin is the guy that comes to our house. He’s very thorough. He does a fine job, very knowledgeable and very professional. When Martin says he going to come at 3:00p.m., he is here at 2:45 p.m. He’s been very responsive. We’ve been using him since we moved in here almost two years ago. We don’t have bug problem. The last time he was here, we got some building nests, he did it and he didn’t charge anything extra for that.
Description of Work: They call us every three months and tell us it’s time for our appointment.

+ 0 moreThe work went very well. Within 3 days, the weeds in the ditch had turned brown and now are completely dead. Tom was wonderful. I appreciated that he took the time to talk with my mother and address all her concerns. He did say that the weed spraying should be done quarterly, but that it could also be done just twice a year. There was no pressure for her to purchase a "package". It was great to deal with a company that didn't use sales tactics or try and pressure an elderly woman into spending more that she needed. We will be using Bob Jenkins again for any type of weed and or pest control. Company is professional from top to bottom. Can't say enough about what a great experience it was working with them.
Description of Work: We contacted Bob Jenkins Lawn Service after speaking with another company that wanted to sell us a "package" that was in my opinion very overpriced. My elderly mother has a ditch in front of her property that weeds take over every year. It's a very difficult area for her to maintain and we just simply needed someone to come out and spray the ditch and kill the weeds. We talked to a very nice lady at Bob Jenkins and explained what we needed. With my mother being on a fixed income, we weren't looking for a "package" that would end up costing her for services she didn't need. The rep for the company was very, very nice and understood what we were looking to have done. She scheduled a tech to come out and view the property and he would give us a quote at that time. Tom called on the day of the appointment and asked if he could come early as he had finished his other project. Tom was very friendly and knowledgeable. He walked my mother around the property and pointed out things that needed to be addressed. He also pointed out several wasp nests that were lingering under the front porch. He quoted a price which was very reasonable and got right to work. The work itself took about 45 minutes. He explained that the weeds in the ditches would be dead within 3 days, and if for ANY reason we weren't satisfied, he would come back and respray.

+ -1 moreI started using them in late February. My yard was getting out of control. Fire ants, sand burs, weed grasses... you name it we had it. I had tried using just about every product from Lowes/HD to treat it myself but the results were poor. My lot is about 19,000 sq ft (just under .5 acre) and they charge $154 per treatment. In 4 treatments my grass is a dark emerald green, the sand burs are gone, zero fire ants and almost all of the non-bermuda grasses (weed-grasses) are gone too. In about half a growing season, they have completely turned my yard around. Our service tech is Al. Simply a wonderful man. Knows everything about yards, everything! He is kind, patient and willing to share his knowledge. Never once has he tried to up sell me some expensive add-on service, never showed up without an appointment and always has a smile going. If you take pride in the appearance of your yard and willing to pay for quality, I give them my highest recommendation.

He was very informative and professional, but also had a fantastic personality and was good enough to introduce himself to our dogs so they would be comfortable with his presence! Did a great job explaining what was happening in our house and the causes of any pests and was very timely - would schedule and use their services again.

They scheduled a home visit and arrived on time with an advance-warning telephone call to tell me they would be on time. The inspector did a thorough inspection of the crawl space, explained the program and costs, and answered my questions. He provided feedback about the conditions at my home and indicated they would be available tin do work at my call when I was ready. They provided literature and a full pricing of all services. They charged nothing for the inspection and quotation. I will likely use these people to treat and warrant my home.

+ -1 moreI was very impressed with Bob Jenkins' service. They were not only prompt, they were a few minutes early (and called to let us know). Serviceman thoroughly checked our attic (we had been hearing noises at night). Our regular pest control person had checked previously (twice) and found nothing. Jenkins also found no varmints but discovered a large loose wire which, when mice crawl across it, was hitting our ceiling, thus causing the noises we were hearing. Also discovered several gaps in the eaves that need to be closed (we will call our builder about that). He recommended bait boxes placed around the house to gradually get control of the field mouse problem. We will ask our regular pest control guy to do that; if he won't, we will definitely have Bob Jenkins do it for us. Very pleased with their service, punctuality, and professionalism. It is a small matter, but indicative our their company: he took me to his truck to see their bait boxes. I was stunned at the cleanliness of their truck! Not just the exterior, but even the truck bed was extremely clean. Can't remember the last time I saw a truck bed that clean! Maybe it is just me, but I thought that exemplified a quality operation!
Description of Work: Checked for odor in a powder room (dead mouse in wall). Also checked attic for mice, raccoons, etc. making noise; and checked for possible entries to attic.

+ -1 moreBob Jenkins is a great San Antonio company. Always helpful and always responsive. They are especially helpful with my phobia of wasps, bees, and other things that fly and sting. One time the technician told me that something was wrong with my rocks on the front of the house. A gap had formed between the rock and the hardy plank. He said that insects could get inside the wall of the house. I contacted my builder who came out to inspect. Determined that a metal brace that holds the rock to the house had broken. He replaced the whole thing. I would probably never have noticed if Bob Jenkins hadn't been on the job.
Description of Work: I have used Bob Jenkins for six years now. The first year was in my rental house and now in my own home. They also provide my termite protection. They come quarterly for pest control and yearly for termite. The use organic materials.

They determined that the droppings were just gecko droppings and that no work was necessary to resolve the problem. We really appreciated their prompt response, good communication, and honesty. I will call them again if I have a need of service in the future.
