Blinded by Delight

Cyndi Roberts - Owner responded to our request for an estimate in an extremely timely manner. She took the time to answer a few questions on what to do with such a wide window - 92" as well as discuss a few options. Once we felt comfortable with that, an estimate was scheduled for a few days later with Cyndi and Mary showing up right on time. The patience they showed measuring, presenting different blind options from different manufacturers and ensuring that the color of the new blinds and arch would match the existing blinds in the house was really appreciated. Plus, we also took advantage of the coupon that was offered on Angie's List. What we also really liked was that there weren't any high-pressure sales tactics and they weren?t at all pushy. We were told that if we do decide to go with them and eventually place the order to call Cyndi whenever we were ready. The order for (2) blinds to cover the (2) separate windows in a 92" opening and the associated arch to fit at the top of the arched window above the blinds was placed one day after the estimate on 03/09/13 with a delivery date of approximately 3-4 weeks. The blinds were installed on 03/28/13. This was much quicker than anticipated and really helped us out a lot since we are due to have company over in about a week. Todd, the installer for Blinded By Delight, was extremely courteous and is an experienced installer. It showed as he did an absolutely great job installing the blinds and arch. We found through this entire experience that arched windows are extremely difficult to find windows coverings for (especially finding the arch section to go over the blinds). They are definitely not cheap either if you can even find a company who does this type of work. However, Blinded By Delight was very reasonable relative to the other estimates we obtained especially given the high quality of the product we received. This is a very professional and personable company who we would recommend to our family and friends. Thank you Cyndi and Blinded By Delight for taking care of our window covering needs. We moved in to our newly constucted home in November 2012 - very busy time with the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday, and yes, we had family for both holidays! We met with Cyndi at the house the week before closing for an estimate. She was very knowledgeable about all the products we were considering and offered several options and estimates for the various rooms. She very also very sensitive to our budget and gave us a variety of design options for window coverings in the master and secondary bedrooms, living, dining and family areas. We did get a couple of other estimtes comparing the same products and Cyndi offered the same products for 30% less. Better pricing and great customer service are not always found in the same company - we were 'delighted' with both! The priority was to provide privacy and have blinds and plantation shutters installed. After we've settled in the house, we also want to consider window treatments and with her interior design background, she was very helpful and offered ideas for us to consider 'down the road'. Cyndi was always very prompt and responsive to our calls. She was also very accomodating in scheduling appointments and we really appreciated that she was available on Saturday if needed. We had the blinds installed right after Thanksgiving and the shutters in January (production takes longer). We have received numerous positive comments about the blinds and shutters. The installers for both were very professional and prompt as well. I really appreciated receiving a call prior to the installation time so I could meet them at the house instead of just waiting at the house for a given block of time. After the order and install, Cyndi called us to ensure that we were completely happy with the products. We had to have a couple of minors adjustments but again, Cyndi has responded promptly and with the highest level of customer service. She prides herself on her communication and high service level and it shows! I high recommend Cyndi and Blinded By Delight for any window coverings needs. I have already told my friends if and when they are considering window coverings to give her a call. Thanks for making our home more beautiful!

Cyndi Roberts owner of Blinded By Delight was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She answered my call promptly and brought several sample books to my home. Cyndi offered her opinion but did not try and push me into making a quick decision. I knew I wanted to replace my faux wood blinds but wasn't certain which option was best for my home and budget. Decorating can seem a little overwhelming to me but Cyndi made me feel very comfortable and at ease. She is a great listener! As we talked through window covering options it became clear that plantation shutters were the best fit for my home and lifestyle. I selected New Style Plantation Shutters by Hunter Douglas and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The shutters arrived earlier than promised, they are beautiful and the installation was perfect. I would definately recommend Blinded by Delight to anyone looking for window coverings. In fact, I just called Cyndi back today to disucss replacing the faux blinds in the second story of our home.

Mary arrived promptly and made an excellent presentation, complete with pictures and samples. The samples were particularly important, because it allowed us to match them with the existing blinds. Before they ordered the blinds, Cyndi came by for a second measurement. When the blinds came, the installer did a phenomenal job. The newly installed blinds matched the existing binds perfectly. In addition, their prices are very reasonable. We are completely satisfied with our experience with Blinded by Delight and highly recommend them.

My experience with Blinded by Delight was first-rate from start to finish. My first contact, in mid-afternoon, was with Cyndi's answering machine. She promptly returned my call early that very evening. I explained my desires to install plantation shutters throughout the entire house. She scheduled an appointment time, not a window, at my home at my earliest convenience. Cyndi arrived promptly and made an excellent presentation, complete with pictures and samples of all my possible choices. The samples were particularly important, allowing me to place them in the windows to obtain some idea of the final product. Cyndi thoroughly explained my choices of styles, quality vs. price tradeoffs and the processes required to complete the project. Anyone researching the purchase of plantation shutters knows how expensive a process this can be. Mine will eventually exceed $9,000.00. I desired to do mine in phases. Blinded by Delight, for a small $50.00 (current rate) fee per manufacture order, will allow you to do just that. Measurements for the entire project were taken by the installer in one visit. Now, I only have to call Cyndi and the next batch is submitted for manufacture and installation. I found the entire Blinded by Delight team; Cyndi, Mary, and Jimmy (the installer), to be very concerned about my desires and doing the best possible job for me. Once installation was complete, Cyndi and Mary even called and asked to stop by and ensure I'm completely satisfied with their product. Most companies forget about you right after your check clears. My plantation shutters look fantastic! I highly recommend Blinded by Delight!

They do window treatments for homes and they do an awesome job. They sell whatever kind of blinds we want. The owner Cyndi Roberts is a fantastic lady. We were satisfied with the price. They are prompt and they do a fantastic job. The price is perfect for what we get.

Cyndi Roberts the Owner of Blinded by Delight referred a gentleman named Todd with THE BLIND EMPORIUM to hang the curtains in my master bedroom. I have never done this before and Todd was VERY patient with me as I needed more materials than I thought. He is the BEST! He hangs blinds and I guess curtains too! He was very nice and did the job very fast, was very nice, professional and I am very grateful to him AND to CYNDI ROBERTS for referring him to me. I'm not sure if he is on Angie's list that is why I am listing him unde Cyndi and she also referred him to me and she as also VERY nice and professional. Thank you both so much!! I first began discussing this project with Cyndi, the owner, during the latter part of October and first part of November. The project called for making 7 custom sized drape panels, and their installation in my Airstream travel trailer. Each window was a unique size and shape. The drapes had custom mounting brackets and snaps. The snaps had to be attached to the panels in an exact position so they would mate with the matching snap on the trailer wall. This was a partial replacement of drapes, so the replacements would need to match the remaining drapes. It took some time, on both our parts, to get exact measurements. Cyndi was able to find material that was an exact match to the remaining drapes. Cyndi was not able to find the necessary hardware so we agreed to salvage the hardware from the old drapes for use on the new ones. She submitted her estimate, and I signed it on November 17. The contract called for her to manufacture the drape panels, and the installation would be done by The Blind Emporium. The drapes were installed on January 12. The drape panels fit the windows perfectly. There was a slight color variation due to the age of the original drapes that remained. I have to say that you have to really look to see this difference. Overall, I am satisfied with the drapes, and their cost. I do feel that the necessary hardware could have been located, and that the over all time was a bit long; even allowing for the holidays.

The installers arrived on time and installed the blinds perfectly. From start to finish and all points along the way it was excellant.

Love my window treatments! We started out with wanting wood blinds throughout the house and ended up with that plus some wonderful fabric shades. Cindy was wonderful with her enthusiastic attitude and did not pressure us at all. She was very accommodating to our needs when we told her we needed the blinds done by Thanksgiving. Even with the busy schedule she made it flexible to help us accomplish the date. She was very flexible with the consulting appointments as well by coming in the evening after we got off work. (thank you!) She gave us many choices and we are pleased with the finished product. I would recommend to a friend and they too, have purchased blinds from Blinded by Delight! The installer was prompt and flexible as well.....thank you!

I purchased a new home and wanted plantation shutters and wooden blinds. I checked out the reviews on Angie's List and was impressed by the positive reviews for Blinded by Delight. Cindy came to my home to talk with me about what I wanted, my price range, available options, and took measurements. Cindy is very pleasant and easy to work with, she provided decorator insight when I was indecisive about some of the options which set my mind at ease when I was torn between choices. I was told to expect a 2-3 week minimum wait for the blinds, but they arrived in less than 2 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when Tod, the installer, called me yesterday to set up the installation. He was able to put them in the same day. He was very courteous and efficient, he even rehung a curtain rod that was loose. The shutters will be another 8 weeks, but I know I'll be just as pleased with them as I am with the blinds. I have no reservation about recommending Cindy with Blinded by Delight as I had requested a quote from another store which did not provided in-home consultation as well as another store which would have charged me to have someone come out to measure my windows without even crediting that toward the purchase if I had gone with them.

Cindy came out and gave me a detailed estimate with different choices. The wood blinds came in first and Todd came to install them. They were perfect! I am expecting the shutters week after next and I am confident they will look great! Cindy is professional, friendly, and very helpful. The prices were competitive. I'm very pleased and will use them again.

They did go to work but it wasn't perfect the first time, it required two visits. The first visit was for the measurement and the scoping of the work and that went perfectly well, there was some issues with the material itself and so they had to come in for the initial installation and come back with repaired material.

Very very good. Cindy was very responsive - she came to our house the same week we called. She first met with us to understand our requirements, then she went to get her window covering books from her car and reviewed them with us. She worked with us to understand our needs, steer us to the right solution, and select fabric types. She was able to take a couple of different options and send us pricing for each option. She then took some measurements and told us she would send us a price quote in a couple of days. We received the quote on time. We had previously met with a Costco vendor and this took over a month to get a person to come to the house and another few weeks to get a quote. Her pricing was very good from what we could tell. Her pricing was as good as or less than Costco's vendor but with much better customer service. We chose the types we wanted and broke the job into two parts. She was able to split it for us so we could afford it easier. The first batch came in very quickly and her installer called to set up a time to install - he was prompt and completed the job efficiently. Cindy emailed us that we could take advantage of a company rebate with the second order if we waited a couple of weeks - we did so and were able to take advantage of this offer - very nice. The second batch came in and also was installed promptly. Cindy called us to follow up on how everything went and ensure all was good. Overall a great experience.

She was friendly, efficient and professional. She took the necessary time to determine our own particular window and home decorating style and tastes. We are very pleased with the installed shades and we would definitely recommend her services to our friends and family. D and J Moore

We had a fantastic experience. Blinded by Delight was professional, thorough and honest. We couldn't be happier with our shutters. Will call them again when we're ready to buy more plantation shutters.

Worked with Cyndi Roberts who was very easy to work with and offered bids from 3 different shutter companies that she could get for me. Norman shutters were the cheapest but she claimed that they were very high quality also and that she had them in her own house and never had any problems with them. So I went with the Norman company. They actually arrived a week or two before she predicted which was a nice surprise. Gabby installed them and he was very professional and prompt. Everything looked great. Only a small glitch in that one side of the trim fell down on one of the shutters but Gabby came back, fixed it, and checked everything else. The Norman shutters do not have a firm mechanism on them to keep them closed and absolutely flat so a couple of them have crept down very slowly and that would be my only concern, but it is not a big one at this time. Cyndi advised that she would address any problems with the shutters in the future. I am picky about who I work with and their credentials and professionalism, so I would definitely recommend Cyndi and Blinded by Delight.

Cyndi with Blinded by Delight was very quick to respond to my request for a bid and to discuss options for shutter companies. She met me at the house and we selected the style that day. She also gave me a bid prior to leaving that same visit. Once we decided to use Cyndi's company we arranged for measurements and finalized the order. The installation was quick, and professional. Great job, they look awesome and really finish the room off with a great look and feel. We chose Hunter Shutters and would choose them again along with using Cyndi and her team for any future window treatment needs!

Overall the service was outstanding

I like the customer service that they had provided, and the explanation of the service crews in completely outlining their pricing schedule. I would absolutely use them in the future.

The overall experience was smooth and though not a major install if and when we need additional window treatment services we will definitely be calling Blinded by Delight once again!

Great experience with Cindy and her installer. Both professional, knowledgeable and respectful. Installer came over after 5pm which was a great service and meant we didn't have to take time off from work. Would definitely use again and recommend.
