+ -1 moreUsed this company several times now. They are fast, courteous, and very reliable. If you don't like what they have done, they return and work on it until you are satisfied. Very through in estimates and explanations. We had lots of trouble with the original roofers and a company we used after the original one went bankrupt (as well they should have). When we had this leak appear we did not even ask for an estimate, just the repair. They were fast and they are good. They tracked, located and repaired the leak in one morning.
Description of Work: Tracked, located and repaired a leak in the roof over our bedroom ceiling in less than 4 hours. We have used them 3 times now. In each case they have taken great care to try to match our shingles or suggest the best alternative. Every repair has been better than the original roofing. They have repaired leaks around our chimney, our covered porch, our bedroom and bathroom, our upstairs den.

Description of Work: I choose to get my roof repair done by Beldon due to its Angie's List rating. I had to wait 3 weeks for an estimator to come out to estimate the repair. I agreed to the repair and was told by the estimator that it would take another 3 weeks to schedule the repair. I called the company and they said they had not received the work order and to call he estimator. The estimator told me that he would check and call me back the next day but did not. I am not going to use this company, I can not put my trust in a company to perform work correctly if it is this much trouble to schedule the repair and send me a reliable estimator.

+ -1 moreMy experience with them was not good at all. I probably would not use them again. Out of all the estimates I got they were the lowest. They told me I did not have to be at the house for them to do the work, which was awesome because I did not have to take time off from work. So, they scheduled it and when my husband got home, I told him to go out and look at it to make sure they had done the work. They had not been to do it. I called them and told them they had not been out their, there was no note or anything. The receptionist said she would check on it and get back with me. She did not call me back, so I called them again. The issue was my roof was too steep so, they could not do the roof that day because they did not bring the proper equipment. So I had two issues. First they are a roofing company and should have had the equipment. Second, the guy that came out and did the estimate should have made a note that I had a steep roof and they did not leave a note or anything. I had to call them to find out what was going on. There was a delay in getting it rescheduled. The work in the end was good. They did what they said they were going to do. I would not use them again in the future.

+ 0 moreStarted with Angie's list. After calling two places who didn't want to work on Spanish Tile roofs, a third company said "the only company you want to work on Spanish Tile is Beldon Roofing. They have the largest inventory and contacts for tile roofs." Guess what, we called Beldon. Richard White came and looked over our concerns. Hugh leaks in the entry hall and Master bedroom. After assessing our damage, including what must be a leaking skylight, he gave us a price. Richard is a caring professional, who knows what he is talking about. He is a man who knows his job. We said, "do the job". We did have to wait two weeks, but may I say, "all good things are worth waiting for." The crew came out and began the job of inspecting the roof and leak situation. Juan took care, not only to check what we thought we knew, but he went to the attic to make sure nothing was overlooked. They covered the leaking skylight and took note of what tiles they needed. This was not before they did what they could to correct all problems they could find. When they returned, they replaced the skylight and additional tiles. The work was completed in less that one day total. When you want a professional, with integrity, caring, knowledge and first rate, total customer service, you really should look no further. The only company I would ever call again, no matter what kind of roof I have!!!
Description of Work: Complete check of entire Spanish Tile roof. Found several broken tiles and some even missing. There were several leaks over the entry most coming from the skylight and running where there were broken tiles and/or missing ones. Plus one was missing from the entry roof and it didn't look good. They replaced the existing skylight after fabricating a new one , made to order skylight. Replaced all tiles that needed to be replaced. All the tiles they replaced matched. Great care was taken to make sure the look was consistent and that you could not tell where the old ones were and the new one was put in. The job was estimated by Richard White. He was right on. The price never changed!!!! Juan Zamora, Ulna Gonzalez and Joseph Sunday all performed their work with total professionalism. Each always had a smile and greeting but still not deviating from their job at hand. Juan is the "Prince of Detail". They spent a half of day here, first assessing the job, then making what repairs they could without new tiles. They then rain proofed the skylight and Juan informed me they would need to go and find the matching tiles. YES THEY DID !!!! They returned 5 days later, after the rain, with the new skylight and matching tiles. The job was completed in about 3 hours!!!!! When you have people who are happy with the work they do and care about both the company they work for and you as a customer, how can one not want to shout it from the roof tops!!! (Ha,Ha)

+ -1 moreSigned a contract two weeks prior to being contacted to schedule the workers. Deposit check was cashed prior to work being scheduled. They seemed to have a lot of work, and scheduling initially appeared difficult to manage. Once we were contacted to schedule the job, they showed up on time and finished in one day. They did a good job cleaning up. The price overall was comparable to other companies, provided you don't have very much decking to replace. The charge to replace decking was higher than other companies. We chose to limit the repair to just the main house for this reason.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced composite shingle roof on single family house.

I had other people try to patch it up for cheaper and they were unsuccessful. Beldon Roofing Co came out and did it right. I paid premium but I got it fixed. They may be expensive, but they do it right.

+ -1 moreI have no problems with the roof. I had a water leak in the garage and was trying to determine where the leak was coming from. I asked Beldon to come look at this different roof. I was not informed in advance that there would be a charge to look at this roof. Two mencame out and spent 15 minutes. I then get a bill for $150.00. Not even my doctor makes this much per hour. I told Beldon that I was not informed in advance of this charge and I am refusing to pay. They continue to bill me.

+ -1 moreWe chose Beldon Roofing because they have a great reputation and the estimate was not too much higher than comparable bids. We are satisfied with the roof, a very simple asphalt shingle, however we have a flat part of the roof that required another material. This flat material is buckling as water sits on it and within a month of installation, developed a leak. It took several weeks for them to come back and repair it because their schedule was overloaded, but eventually it was repaired with a tar substance.

I called him once more after that and still haven't heard back from him. It's been two months since we initially spoke.

+ -1 moreI don't even know if I got their name from Angie's List, I ended up getting it from my brother, and then I went ahead and used them. They were very responsive; I was kind of delaying the project, and the sales guy from Beldon kept calling and asking me if I was ready yet and that they were there for me. He just stayed on top of it and he got the sale. The roofing was done, and they were in and out in a couple of days. I like their follow up. He wanted the sale and he was offering discounts, and I also had some extra vents put in and it wasn't too much more for that. I am trying to take care of my mom's house too. I have never redone a roof, so it was my first experience; I guess it worked out fine. That's what makes it hard not having experience in doing all those types of repairs and replacements to decide if it is good work or not, we have to trust these people who provide these services. I wasn't there when he did the work, but he told my brother to be aware and watch for any leaks, and told him that if there was anything to just give them a call and they will come back and fix it. Everything worked out fine the next rain, it came through and there were no problems. I thought their pricing was good and competitive. I would use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreHe actually measured the roof, knew what was going on with our roof, and informed us of what the company would need to do to fix our roof. I am interested in a metal roof, my husband is seeing dollar signs. He offered to give us estimates on various roof types to let us make an informed decision. I hope they follow through. Beldon as come through with the estimates as promised. We had a long discussion as to roof types, the positive and negative aspects of all types and we have finally settled on a metal roof (yipee!). They will get us the paperwork tomorrow. I am really impressed with Mr. Beldon and his work ethic and attention to customer service. I'm still slightly speechless. All I can say is thanks. For what it is worth, it is wonderful that you understand the military lifestyle. I have a soft spot for our military, since my husband served 37 years in the army. I wish you could tell your grandfather thanks for his service. General Patton...I'm impressed. Scheduling the roof was an issue because of us. We built a front porch on before scheduling the roof, which delayed the project. My choice. Then we had rain (happy thing). The crew arrived on time, and went right to work. They worked tirelessy on removing the old roof and getting the decking fixed. The second day, we were expecting rain, so the guys worked until 10:30PM to make sure we would not have any leaks. It did rain and so the roof was put off for 4 days or so, until the decking dried after the rain went away. The guys put the metal roof on in about 6 days or so (I don't honestly remember). They knew I was worried about oilcanning and the wavy roof but said they could pretty much fix that. They did. Our house looks amazing now. The roof is beautiful and well done. I did notice one leak the other day when it rained, but they are coming out to inspect it. The schedule was done for my convenience.
Description of Work: We are currently getting estimates on replacing our roof due to hail damage. Our neighborhood was pretty well decimated with the last storm so reliable roofers are busy right now. Our estimator actually got on the roof, walked around and did measurements. He checked both roofs that need replaced & picked up a couple of things our insurance adjuster left off. He said he will communicate directly with our insurance company about questions. I do not have an estimate yet, but am not expecting it until at least Monday, per their notification. This is reasonable to me. I have had very negative experiences with Beldon before & this is a huge stretch to even call them. If it wasn't for Angie's List, I wouldn't have this time. UPDATE: We had the meeting today and received the estimates. I appreciate the detailed and written estimate very much. Your professionalism has done a lot to alleviate my concerns. Now we need to get the rest of our estimates and make a decision. I will call you tomorrow since you are off today. UPDATE: 03/01/12; I'm rarely rendered speechless. I was today. I was almost in tears with his kindness and understanding. I spoke to Mr. Beldon (the owner) twice since I wrote this report. I told him the problems I experienced before (in the early 80's but I was really mad). Mr. Beldon was apologetic and assured me he would strive to alleviate my fears and concerns. Thanks to his professionalism and kindness and true desire to right the issues from the past, my fears have been somewhat relieved. I am still slightly anxious, but not as much as before. 09/04/12: I late doing this but here goes. I did hire Beldon to do the roof. Before we had a shingle roof, and the roof decking looked like the ocean on a windy day. We changed to a metal roof because I wanted one and the price was right. They removed the old roof, replaced a couple of pieces of decking that had carpenter ants (we had just found them and treated them prior to the roofing job beginning) and a couple pieces of fascia as well.

+ -1 moreAll the work went very well. The inspection and estimate was done very professionally by Albert Pena, the Belton representative.He coordinated the work. The crews arrived on time, completed the work in the promised time and left the site clean when the work was complete.
Description of Work: Belton made 2 repairs for roof leaks over the garage. The roof is a typical older concret tile roof and Belton removed the tiles added new waterproofing under the existing tiles and replaced the old tiles. Where the tiles were broken or missing, they replaced with new tiles.

+ -1 moreI used Beldon for 2 reasons: 1. good reports on Angie's list; 2. an absolutely excellent presentation by the Beldon rep, Craig S. He was completely throrough and answered all my questions completely. He gave me a lot of useful information and made suggestions that turned out to be excellent. Craig was completely responsive to emails and phone calls while we were making our decision about which company to use. He provided large color samples to help us make a final decision. (With one of the other companies' rep, the first thing he wanted to talk about was what color of metal roof I wanted, even though I told him up front that that was not my major concern,) During the installation, Craig was always available if I had a question or concern about how things were going. The installation went fairly well, although one day only one person showed up to work on the roof. It looks great and we could not be happier with the final outcome. The only thing that could have been better would be the final clean-up. I'm still finding some metal screws and a few pieces of metal in my yard, I would definitely recommend Beldon to anyone needing roofing repairs

+ 0 moreThey had done a job for me a couple of years ago. They took almost eight months to complete the job. We also had a lot of rain during that time. We finally called them back to give them a second chance. We also felt that their prices were really high. It was a very small repair that they had to do. It took them a long time to find matching tiles as well. Later I read some of the reviews about them and I decided to call them back. This time however, everything is going well till now. The man who came out to work for us was supposed to bring in samples of tiles to match our roof today. The sample he brought was not really the right color. He should be able to get better samples.
Description of Work: I used Bolden Roofing Co. services for general remodeling services. I used their services in September.
