We hired Sombrilla to install 8 awnings at our business in May 2017. We paid $12,000 down. It is July 2019 and Sombrilla has only installed 2 awnings and they refuse to repay us the down payment less the cost for the 2 awnings they installed. We will be suing them. Avoid them at all cost. They are legitimately criminals.

It started over a year ago. We're still trying to get it right. The original order was delayed 60 days. Every new part takes 30-60 days. They don't call you, you call them. They forget scheduling. Once they do send people out, the employees are generally good. Don't be fooled by getting to speak to the (franchise) owner. I'm fairly certain that's where the problem starts.
Description of Work: Two large retractable awnings with shades and lights over back deck.

Later lack of consideration and communication showed unprofessionalism and overall attitude toward customer satisfaction though owner has a smooth delivery and complimentary rhetoric during negotiation..
Description of Work: Had an awning project that I received an estimate for from Sombrilla. Had asked for a modest discount which was partially tendered. Project was put on hold for lack of funding. Returned to vendor to resume negotiations some 2 months later. Vendor finally responded after several emails and voice messages over the period of a couple of weeks. Politely told me to take my business elsewhere as they were unable to accommodate my project. No further explanation.
