+ -1 moreHaving assisted my husband in purchasing lumber for the deck and a fence, I was accustomed to seeing some pretty lousy lumber at the home centers. Austin Wholesale was a breath of fresh air. They helped me choose the balusters, making sure to get balusters that were evenly cut and free of knots. They bundled and loaded the balusters for me as well. I had taken one of our old balusters for comparison purposes, and they explained that it was thicker than the new ones due to swelling in the humidity. And they explained this to me with no hint of condescension. I'd definitely recommend them for decking products-they are knowledgeable and their quality is a cut above the mass retailers.
Description of Work: When my husband rebuilt our very distressed wooden deck, he needed 28 replacement cedar balusters-the old ones were rotten. We could not find suitable replacements at the two bigger home improvement stores, so I contacted several lumberyards and located the balusters at Austin Wholesale Decking Supply's lot in north San Antonio.
