You go in and get sold and then they make you pay more for delivery. So essentially they make you pay more to waste a lot of your time waiting for the "scheduled" delivery. You call and they tell you lies, you know that because the story is different each time you call. You have to call multiple times because they miss delivery date/time after delivery date/time. They don't call you when they aren't coming, they just have you sit there and wait and you do because you have been assured that this time they will be there. They still haven't come, I (my two young daughters) have now waited two weeks for their bedroom furniture. I will get my money back and go elsewhere tomorrow. Do not buy anything from these people.

After three weeks, we moved the sofa to our garage and we will donate it to a homeless shelter if Ashely does not pick it up on 20 September. This review sounds very similar to the other review of Ashley on Angie's list where the reviewer rated them "F" also.
Description of Work: We purchased a sectional sofa from Ashley for $3,192.27. They delivered a defective sofa - seams coming apart, staples from end pulling out. We wanted the sofa replaced - they wanted to send a technician to "fix it". We refused and requested a refund - we're not interested in paying $3,000+ for a defective, low quality sofa. Over a period of three weeks they have gvien us the run around - pathetic customer "care". We disuputed the $3,192.27 charge with AMEX and filed a compaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I asked to see what they could do to get this to me closer to my delivery time. I was immediately told that there was nothing they could do. No research and no attemp to look into the situation. I told them that I would cancel the order and they said "fine". When I contacted customer service and the store that I wanted to cancel I was told that I could not. I was told that I could reselect. After explaining that there wasn't anything I liked I was told that I could not cancel. Description of Work: I purchased a sectional with a delivery date of 9/12/14. The lead time on the item was almost 30 days. When I called a few days ago to schedule the delivery I was informed that the items were not going to be delivered sometime after 9/24/14. I tweeted Ashley's to get in touch with another channel to get this resolved with no response at all.

We were shopping for a master bedroom set for a new house. Had been to several other furniture stores for price comparisons. The quality wasn't as good at Ashley Furniture. The sales person was a little too aggressive and kept trying to get us to put money down to hold a selection. We purchased from another store.

I purchased approximately 4500 dollars in furniture from Ashely's Furniture in Live Oak, TX. All items were delivered except for a curio cabinet that cost around 900.00 dollars. Ashley explained that it would be delivered the following day... 20 Sep 2012. The items was delivered however, the truck driver and his assistant merely brought the curio cabinet in and departed... When they returned to their truck we thought it was to bring in the glass shelves. Nope... they simply left. I called the delivery guy and he stated he had not shelves nor the key to unlock the cabinet. I called Ashley's and customer service check with the ware house manager who said, ooooops, and stated they would deliver the items the next day between 2 and 6 pm. The next day was 21 Sep (Friday). We patiently waited until 6pm and I called Ashley's and the customer service rep, said "OH NO... its not 6pm... you have to wait until 8pm. At this I asked her to find out when the the truck would most likely come by, so she called the truck driver and he stated he did not have any items on his truck for us... another oooops I guess. As this we now two days we had waisted waiting for delivery, and there was a great need to go get groceries because we had just moved into our new home and of course there was NO FOOD in the house and I have childred to feed. I explained to the customer service rep that I could take deliver between 10am and 2pm on Sat the 22nd... she tried to insist that I take delivery again sometime between 2 and 8pm on Sat... I stated I could not and insisted on the delivery times. She took the information, stated she would call me back with the time they would come... noting it had to be between 10am and 2pm.... Well, she never returned my call... go figure. The next morning I called the store manager and spoke with him... needless to say, he stated that the items (KEY AND SHELVES) were loaded on the delivery truck, at the front of the truck so I would be one of the last to take delivery and it would be sometime after 2pm. I told him, I wouldn't be at home and again explained our need for groceries. He stated they would drop the items at my door and if anything was missing or broken he would ensure it was taken care of... just give him a call on the next day (SUNDAY mind you) When we returned home around 5:30pm the 5 glass shelves were on the front porch.. but there was no key... and the cabinet was locked when we received it. I was unable to reach the store manager as he had already gone home... I again spoke with a customer service rep, who took my information, and said he would check to see where the key was and would call me back... AGAIN... GUESS WHAT... NO RETURN CALL... hmmm I'm starting to get the message Ashley's... Well, on Sunday morning I attempt to call the store manager.. and he is now not available... Now thoroughly frustrated with this whole event... I have since disabled and removed the locking mechanism from the curio cabinet and will replace it without the assistance of Ashely's as I'm certain it would never happen if I relied upon them... But rest assured... I will not (nor will I recommend anyone) do business with Ashley's furniture in Live Oak, TX again as the incompetence in getting the deliverly accomplished for something as simple as 5 glass shelves and a key to a buyer who just spent over 4500 dollars is testamony enough to me that they simply can't get it done right. If I had been that manager, someone would have been in a car making a personal delivery, expecially after the second FAILED Attempt... CUSTOMER SERVICE is a joke at this Ashley Store. I still need more furniture and plan to make another even larger purchase in the coming week... BUT bottom line... No more business from me, I'm certain there are other quality stores here in the San Antonio Area who have high quality goods, at the same or lower prices and I have to believe that their service will be better than that that I have received from this Ashley's store. If you want decent service... do your furniture buying at a store OTHER than Ashley Furniture in Live Oak at 7919 Pat Booker Road, Live Oak, TX 78233. You don't know how tempted I was to just have them come and get the 4500 dollars in furniture I had purchased... I would be most interested to hear what they have to say... being appoligetic is one thing, yet continuing to fail to deliver simply won't cut it.
Description of Work: Delivery of 4500 dollars worth of furniture went fine with one exception...didn't deliver my curio cabinet with the other items. That is what became the issue as it was delivered in part... cabinet first, one day the shelves were to be delivered they didn't even show up, and the next day they delivered the shelves, but no KEY to unlock the cabinet.

Making the purchase was easy. The return process was horrible. My transaction beta on a Saturday. My salesperson was nice. On Sunday I changed my mind. I walked into a different location - closer to my home - and wad told that I had to speak directly my my salesperson. They called and he "approved" the refund. On Monday I called to follow up and was told a manager would call me back. I didn't get the call. On Tuesday I called to speak with a manager and was told again one would call me. Hours late I called again and was told I was outside my allowed 48 hours! I explaIned that I'd been calling, the person on the phone said she'd have my salesperson call me. Hours later I called again and was told my salesperson was off work for the day! I refused to get off the phone so the person said she would help me and then put me on hold for about 30 minutes! We finally worked through the transaction and I'm awaiting the money to be returnd to my account. They're all smiles when selling. Returns are a different story. I have more furniture to buy but I'll never purchase from Ashley Furniture again.
