They arrived exactly on time. They worked continuously and extremely carefully. They cleaned up all of the limbs and leaves they removed. The trees are in good shape to stay healthy and they look fantastic. Extremely careful and conscientious workers.

After a tree in our yard was blown over by a strong wind, Artistic Trees were called. Reni was quick to respond and it was promptly removed.

The crew from Artistic Trees were on time, courteous, and hard working. They had to remove 2 dead trees to include stumps. They were kind enough to cut part of the tree into fire logs and stacked them by my fire pit.

Went very well, 3 men showed up but without the arborist. They did a great job dressing all the trees up just like we discussed. They chipped all the wood and hauled everything away, could hardly tell they had been there w/ exception of the awesome looking trees. Unfortunately we both forgot about the repair work to the tree we had discussed in the initial quote. I called them back and they were able to come out after a few weekends (was raining too much to do the job right) and they completed the job to my satisfaction. Would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to others.

I've been one of Rene's customers since shortly after he started his business, when I saw the quality of the work he did for one of my neighbors. You can find lots of people who will hack at trees for less money, but you won't find many who know what they're doing as well as he does - or whose workers know what they're doing as well as he has trained them. He takes the time to study the property and explain what he recommends. His workers show up on time, sterilize their tools before they begin work, and do a great job of clean-up when it is over.

The crew arrived on time and got right to work. They were polite, friendly and professoinal. They cleaned the site daily before they left. I was very satisfied with their work and will use them again.

I was entirely satisfied. Initially, I thought the quoted price seemed high, but I wasn't aware of just how much work was really entailed in the removal process. The crew was careful not to do any damage to our patio or house. I'm happy to recommend these folks.

He answered my questions I asked and reassured me that my trees dropping large amount of their leaves was normal. I was a little upset since he received numerous calls on his cell phone while spending time with me and seemed somewhat distracted due to these calls. I felt like I had to drag information out of him for some of the visit. I used an Angies List coupon which cost $60.

Rene quoted the work in person three days before. Rains on, off, and on again kept him from starting the work. Rene came once the rain had stopped for several hours. He pruned my massive fig tree, my two espaliered pear trees, my Texas pistache and my small loquat tree, all of which are in my back yard, He hauled all of the branches and leaves up through the gate and to his truck. Rene is personable, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I have never known when to prune my fruit trees to get them to bear. I intend to regularly use Artistic Trees? services regularly to ensure good fig and pear crops each fruiting season

I bought an Angie's List special deal for an arborist's consultation, so Rene Pina came out and did an evaluation of all our trees, plus a check of some other necessary work, like the removal of a very large agave which had been allowed to grow over the sidewalk and was threatening pedestrians with its sharp spines. About 10 days later, Rene sent a crew of six. My husband was home during the day while the crew worked, and I only saw the results when I returned home from work, but it was obvious that they had done a lot. They removed a 20-foot palm tree which had been planted much too close to the house, plus numerous hackberries under 15 feet, and a chinaberry. They dug out the dangerous agave and trimmed two overgrown coastal palms and a large viburnum. They did minor trims on a Chinese pistache, a large crape myrtle in the front yard, and a row of smaller crape myrtle cultivars in the back yard. They also trimmed some mountain laurels, a Bradfor pear, and a loquat tree. This cleared most of the excess growth around our power lines, to my relief. (They threw in a nice trim of our boxwoods in the back yard, too, though this wasn't part of the original assessment.) The crew put all the debris in their chipper and swept the sidewalk and driveway. Even after all this, however, there was still more to do, so they returned the next day (which we had planned on) to reduce three huge prickly pear cacti and another overgrown bush. They did not grind out the stump of the palm tree, so I e-mailed Rene about it, and a couple of days later, he unexpectedly appeared at about 5:45 p.m. with the stump grinding equipment. He said that he was the person who usually did that, but was out of town on the second day of our clearing appointment. He said he had told his crew to do it if they had time, but I guess they decided that they didn't. (He ground the stump out in a few minutes and was done.) We are very pleased with the amount of work that Rene's crew did. There is no way we could have done it ourselves in a time frame of less than months, especially the tree removal. There is still a lot of cactus, but now I think I can thin it out the rest of the way myself. Our adjoining neighbors are happy, too, because they can actually see daylight into their backyard now that so much of the previous jungle is gone!

I'm very satisfied with the work I had done by Artistic Trees. Mr. Pina is very professional. The day he was scheduled to give an estimate, he called to let me know he was running behind and would be about 45 minutes late. As it turned out, he was only 30 minutes later than we had originally scheduled and in any case, he had kept me informed which is all I ask. When he arrived I showed him the work to be done and he listened attentively, then gave me an initial verbal estimate. He also gave me advice about some bushes I wanted to trim myself. As agreed, later the same day, he emailed a written estimate.. After initially scheduling to do the work, he had to delay because two of the guys on his crew had the flu, but then he showed up on the revised date on time and the crew worked steadily all day. Mr. Pina himself was there to manage the trickiest part of the job (the branches over the house), which took about half the day, and when that was done he left his crew to finish the job. The quality of the work they did was impressive. I hate when tree trimmers over-trim in a bid to show they've earned their fee. Mr. Pina and his crew cleared out the dead branches, cut back the ones that were a danger to the house and my cars, and didn't go overboard. Near the end of the day they called me out to see if I had any concerns. I pointed out some branches that were still going to be over my car that I wanted to see trimmed further back, which they promptly trimmed. While I think the cleanup could have been a bit more meticulous, given the number of branches they brought down and the amount of work involved, I expect that's an unreasonable expectation.. When the work was done they were able to run my credit card on their smartphone and email me a receipt, and Mr. Pina phoned afterward to make sure I was satisfied. All in all, I appreciate the quality of the work his crew did and their professionalism and would definitely hire them again. PS: 6 months later, I'm still exceedingly happy with Mr. Pina's work. The trees look healthier than they have in years. I'll definitely be hiring him when it's time to have my other trees trimmed.

Kept me informed of weather delay start dates. On time, listened carefully to what I wanted done. Made useful suggestions. Crew worked with breaks. Attention to details.

When I finally got hold of the certified arborist he told me they were very busy. I needed an estimate on trimming one tree and advice on planting another. I guess one tree isn't worth their time. He was busy giving an estimate on a stump removal, told me he'd call back never did. Email unanswered as well.

Easily made appointment via telephone. Tree trimmers arrived on time, did a good job & cleaned up. Very satisfied with Artistic Trees.

All people we dealt with were absolute professional! Job was reasonably priced and Rene even trimmed off a few dollars since I'm a tacher and vet. Due to rain being forcast for scheduled day, they were proactive and came a day early.

I had spoken with Rene before placing the order for help in deciding what kind of tree would be most appropriate for my yard size, etc. He was very helpful and I gave him the order several days later. He called to set the date of installation, when he came I was at work as we had agreed I could be. When I returned home the beautiful tree was planted, the yard around leveled and all soil in place.

I have used Artistic Trees for several years. My neighbor uses him also because our trees are so big and they touch across the street. They also do an expert job. They ended up trimming three bushes. Then he came back and did 2 cedars also. There are other good tree trimmers in San Antonio, but he is the best.

Very well. Rene's crew was on time and got straight to work after brief discussion. Rene arrived shortly after the main crew and was actively involved in all activities. They performed a commendable yard cleanup after all trimming & shaping was complete. We have used Artistic Trees since approximately 2009 after a neighbor had rain-felled trees removed. This company has been my go-to source for Citrus trees; Satsuma, lime, and lemon since 2011 -- all have produced fruit in the first year. A very bountiful year for Satsuma this year; 48 oranges from three trees. Planning to expand from 3 to 5 Satsuma trees in 2015. Also considering adding some grape root-stock for grape vines this year. Spring is coming and Artistic Trees is on my go-to-first list!
