Great. I was very happy with the work.

The blocks were brought to 2nd house. Payment was demanded prior to unloading. Blocks were unloaded and left in middle of driveway. Request was made to place blocks around a garden area. Stated it would cost $300 extra.

I got 3 bids from companies recommended by Angie's List clients. Hank Hattoy came by to plan his estimated cost, and he made some very good suggestions to me at that time [e.g. enlarging the area that I wanted to have covered in mulch, since it gets too much shade for plantings]. His crew did everything that he outlined that they would do: sprayed grass killer a week before new soil was delivered, leveled the yard, laid new sod and mulch, planted new Asiatic Jasmine. They even picked up acorns before spreading the soil! I was impressed by the high quality of the sod and groundcover, the cheerful professionalism of all the crew members, and the attention to detail that Hank Hattoy brought to this job.

He was extremely prompt and always came when he said he would. They were going to do work for me but due to personal reasons the project fell. But he was excellent across the board and I would definitely use him in the future.

Poorly.

Hank and Pam came out twice to look at the project and submit proposals. They had really good suggestions and Hank was especially helpful with the drainage issue and Pam was knowledgeable and helpful regarding the plants. It did become a fairly costly effort for us at this time so we were unable to have them do it. However, I was very impressed with their attitudes, their helpfulness and their willingness to take the time to understand our issues. I would not hesitate to contact them should a need arise in the future.

Came and did estimate, made suggestions for replacement plantings in some beds, removal of some plants, etc. I wanted a general clean up/freshening. Provided a detailed written estimate for about 10 one gallon and 4 five gallon new plants, 30 cubic yards of mulch, trimming of trees and bushes, removal of some small hackberry trees, etc. They were her on time with a large crew, finished the job in two days, and it looked absolutely spectacular when they finished. They were to clean up a crushed granite walking path; they not only cleaned it they also brought in fresh granite. Same for river rocks out front; brought all new. Neither was in the bid. Two days after they finished, I found they had accidentally broken a sprinkler line in a bed. Sent an email and it was repaired the next day without charge. I will be moving and will definitely get them for any landscaping needs.

They were a very good company. They were definitely eager to please their customers in anyway possible. They have fantastic workers that really stick to their word. I am very happy with the job they completed. The owner is a very professional, hard working man and he knows how to run a company.

I had an appointment set up with the owner. He came out and was not really interested in doing the work I was looking for. I kept trying to get him to understand what I was looking for, but he didn't really seem to want to work on what I needed. He was supposed to get back in contact with me with an estimate, and it took a while. He finally faxed me a contract, but it didn't have anything to do with what I was looking for.

Amistad was always on time to complete the work. They were very respectful, professional, & polite. The river rock they put down was wonderful. The price was very reasonable. We were satisfied with their work.
