Took in a key I bought on line for one of my vehicles. They checked it to make sure it would work, you know how the keys with the embedded chip are, They cut that key and an additional one I bought from them and both worked great. When they gave me the bill I nearly fell over. I expected to pay much more based on the rumors I had heard of what dealers charge. They had the lowest price I had ever heard of. Will us them for ALL of my Locksmith business.

I called them up at 10am, told them I needed 2 Toyota H keys cut and programmed for which I had purchased on internet. They checked to be sure they could do it and said come on over. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes with 2 programmed transponders\remotes + basic door key that worked perfect. They even cut a basic key to open door for free. Price was comparable to other locksmiths I contacted. Very personable and really seemed appreciative of business. Not only does Toyota want $275 for one key (I paid a little less than that for 2 keys), I was glad to be able to support local business and keep money local!!!

One of the two original GM keyless remotes failed so I ordered a replacement from an Internet source. I went to Amerikeys and was met by Lisa who took my programming order. Pete did the programing. It was done smoothly and quickly although there were some other customers being helped at the same time. They were very nice and professional and Lisa gave me a discount from the $48 price when I mentioned that I was an Angie's List member. The store is clean, has a waiting area, and is well stocked with many different keys and accessories. It is in a convenient location off 281 and is easy to get in and out of quickly. I had called several other keyless programmers. One shop listed here on Angie's List would have charged about 3 times as much!

I inherited a classic car that was manufactured in 1968, but it came with no keys. I could not get into the trunk where there were extra car parts and I did not want to destroy the lock to get into the trunk. I called Amerikeys to find out if they could make some keys for the car. Pete said he had to look into it to make sure he had the proper blank keys and would call me back within 10 minutes. Unlike most companies that may or may not call back, Pete called me back in under 10 minutes. He said he could do it. The locksmith came out on time and it took about an hour or so to hand cut two keys, one for the trunk and the other for the doors/ignition. I was impressed at the patience and knowledge of the locksmith as he patiently and carefully made the keys by hand and a file. The keys came out great and I was able to get my trunk open as well as have a key for the doors and ignition. They also threw in another set. If you have a lock that you need a key for, call Amerikeys. I will definitely use them again.
