The local energy company offered a rebate to replace old duct work to make things more efficient. It took them longer than expected. There was some irritation with that. On a very hot day we turned the A/C on and there as a leak in the attic. They did fix the problem and leak damage, but we weren't happy with the leak in the first place. They got it done and the system does work. It does feel like there is less loss in the attic. I just wish they would have completed it faster. They started one day and it took them a couple of days to get back to us and finish the rest. The price was reasonable, and there was an incentive provided with the energy company. They helped out with the paperwork.

When I was having a difficult time locating some replacement A/C filters for a house I own that is located out of the city, I called the manufacturer of the filters to get a price. They referred me to their retail Web site. When I learned the charge for twelve filters would be $97.80 (including $30 shipping), I asked them to recommend a local company. They recommended American Filtration. There, I spoke with Hunter Malatek, who gave me a price of $80.13 for eighteen filters. To save the shipping charge, I offered to pick them up. Since they have technicians driving all over the city, Hunter said he would have one of them deliver the filters to my house. This was very convenient since I was at work. Not only did they deliver the filters, Hunter sent a fax of the invoice to me, as well as a photo (through e-mail) of the delivered boxes placed at location I requested. I told him that I was so impressed with his prices and his customer service that I wish I needed more filters!
