Alvarado's Masonry Construction & Remodeling

Luis was very professional and prompt. He was always on time and showed up when he said he would, unlike several other contractors I used. The work was started the next day and done by one of his associates. The brick work was excellent and the porch also. The porch had previously been tiled and while we had removed the old tile there was still some grinding and leveling that had to be done. The finished product was exceptional. The driveway had a 1 to 2 inch crooked crack running down the length and Luis tried to match the pebble stone look. We were happy with the results but he was not. He did not charge us for the repair because he thought it could have turned out better. We appreciated his integrity and his high standards. I am planning on hiring him to do some brick work again soon and would definitely recommend him to others.

Jose Luis Alvarado and his crew did a good job. They are very punctual and responsible. First they had to do some demolition on an existing wrought iron fence. Then they had to dig the footing for an approximately 100 ft. stucco wall to meet up with my existing stucco fence. There were a few bumps in the road with the irrigation system, but Jose Luis moved and/or repaired the sprinkler heads. The job took a little longer then the estimate but I would say that the whole team worked very hard to get the job done.

We had purchased one of the "deals" offered by Mr. Alvarado on Angie's List and scheduled an appointment. Mr Alvarado was prompt in getting here to review what we needed. We had a number of cracks in the stone on the exterior of our home, and I was not sure how much of them the "deal" would cover, but Mr Alvarado was able to take care of all of them. He came back a week later and finished the work in less than a day. He was able to match the existing mortar pretty well and we were very pleased. He even came inside and quoted us on some interior work before he left. We would recommend Mr. Alvarado.

It went very well, they worked fast, it last longer that they thought, but they cleaned up very well. Used my groupon I purchased and had some additional cracks repaired in the mortar. He said I need some other things to help support the rock wall, but did not try to push me. It was my decision. I was very please with the work they did. I am very picky. It was a very pleasant experience. I would most certainly use them again.

It went very well. Mr. Alvarado was responsive and scheduled an evaluation and estimate the first time I called him. He came to my house on a Sunday afternoon exactly on time and dressed nicely. The estimate was emailed and looked very professional. I signed the estimate, emailed it back, and our work was scheduled for about a week later. Mr. Alvarado and his crew arrived early on the first day (and other days). The work was well done and showed attention to detail. His crew busted up the old concrete w/ sledge hammers! That was tough work. I asked them to touch up one area at the end and they did so without a question or argument. The clean up was also good. We are so confident in Mr. Alvarado's work we are already having Mr. Alvarado estimate more projects around our house.

I am totally satisfied with the work performed. Our home has been leveled and the repairs Mr. Alvarado provided makes it good as new again. Mr. Alvarado's office manager and I kept in contact via e-mail and she was very accomodating and flexible. Mr. Alvarado was easy to work with and did an excellent job.

The weather delayed them about 2 weeks but Mr. Alvarado kept in contact and updating me. They showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job. I was also impressed at how well they cleaned up the site after the work had been completed. The employees were friendly and worked hard.

Alvarado's came out an did a great job on my house. after seeing the quality of wirk, i asked them to give me an estimate on some planters i had been wanting to build. The job came out geat, they even re routed my sprinkler under the brick so my trees could get the water they need.

My friend is hard to please and was more than satisfied with the timeliness, quality, and price of the work.

Priced over pictures sent through e-mail than took a few days to come out to match the brick. Once he committed to doing the job everything from that point on was very timely. Completed the work in basically in one day as committed and came out following day for any touch up work needed. Very pleased with the whole experience.

Expansion joint was made and repairs to the rear step t o patio done. Looks good.

Everything was fine with them. They did a good job. They were prompt. We were happy with their work. The pricing was fair and in line with other quotes.

I called him, and he said he would come out and give an estimate right away. When he looked at it, he saw that it was a quick fix, so he gave me the price and was able to do it then and there. He did a great job and cleaned up after himself. We did get a second estimate to have him do some masonry work in our backyard. He was again very punctual but the price was more than what we wanted to spend so we ended up doing it ourselves.

The steps on the front porch were pulling away from the porch. The men sealed the area and cleaned up the looks so that the entry looks really good now.

When I initially called I received his voice mail but he returned my call in a timely manner. He was right on time for the appointment we set up and went right to work. He did a great job and you cannot tell where the major repair was made and left no mess when he was finished. It was a small job but well done.

They redid a fireplace that had fallen down on the end side of the house. Everything went really well. The price was very good. The only negative is some of the floors got a lot of dust that was hard to get off. I would use them again in the future.

Mr. Alvarado came out right on time to give an estimate. His price was very good. He did the work when it was scheduled, without me even being there. He fixed the crown of the chimney and re-mortared some of the bricks that were about to fall off. He was very polite, pleasant and professional and did a top notch job. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him without reservation!

After 2 failed attempts at trying to get someone to repair my parents roof. I called Alvarado Masonry. Jose Luis, the owner, was prompt in returning calls and was punctual. The same day we called, he went to take a look at the house. He provided an estimate prior to starting the work. It was in writing, which we liked. And after accepting the estimate, he made an appointment to start the repairs and kept to the times. It took 3 days to complete because part of the roof was damaged, he had to replace a wooden beam that had been damaged by the water and was rotted, and he had to replace some sheetrock and stucco. Throughout the project, he would explain to my parents what he was doing and even show them where the repairs had to be made. The owner and his assistant performed the work. Because part of the work included the inside of the home, they covered the furniture with plastic to avoid getting things dirty. Though the repairs were to my parents home, Mr. Alvarado made sure to call me and keep me updated. I sincerely appreciate this. I would highly recommend Alvarado Masonry. Mr. Alvarado is a professional that takes pride in his work and will answer any questions you may have about the process.

Located company thru Angie's list. Received a competing bid from another group which was 2K higher for less work. Was concerned that perhaps bid was too low. After the initial excavation was begun, Jose proposed a change which greatly enhanced the appearance of the final product. Work was started on time and was completed as planned. Area was cleaned up as agreed. Have received numerous compliments regarding the appearance of the wall. We would recommend this firm to anyone seeking masonry work! They are prompt, work hard and perform as agreed.

Company was very professional from start to finish. Crew came on time and were very polite. They got the job done same day and cleaned the entire work area before they left. I would certainly recommend their services and look forward to working with them on upcoming projects.
