The service was excellent. The staff was excellent. What stood out the most was the quality of the customer service and the products. I would highly recommend them.

The reformat went well but the laptop was returned to us with a broken key and not once was this mentioned to my husband or myself. We went on vacation 2 days after getting the computer back and when I called them about the problem it seemed like no one wanted to help me out. I was transferred 3 times and had to tell 3 different people the problem then was transferred to the manager and had to leave a message! He did not call me back to acknowledge the message or how he was going to address the problem so I had to call again( 2 days later) to be told that an order had been placed for a new keyboard. A week and a few days go by and the store calls me to ask for additional information regarding my exact laptop type so they can order the appropriate keyboard, which I thought had been ordered! I was instructed to send a picture of the laptop serial number to the rep at Altex, who did not even acknowledge that the email was received so I had to call again, telling the same story again to another person, just to make sure the email was received. Needless to say, it has been almost a month since the initial service and we are still waiting to get the keyboard fixed with no end date in sight.

My experience with Altex Computers and Networking Company was bad; it was a big failure. They didn't do what they were supposed to do. Since I didn't have any experience with computers, I totally relied on them but they left me hanging. I also told them that I was new to computers when I had left the laptops with them. They installed the antivirus but they neglected to tell me that I had to register the virus protection program. The whole thing got messed up because the time to register had lapsed. I actually had to get somebody else to update the virus protection again. I basically had to pay twice for the same service because Altex Computers and Networking Company messed it up and they couldn't help me. I would not use them in the future again.

My interaction with them overall went very good. They were a technical company and they knew their business very well as they were experts. It has been a while since I have used them but they have always been very knowledgeable, very responsive and very helpful. I could always beat their price by going elsewhere but that is not always what you are paying for as you are paying only for the merchandise. They were a little expensive.

Our issues were solved completely. My mother had previously picked someone out of the phone book. He came twice and really did next to nothing. Steven diagnosed our problems and found that the electrical outlet was faulty! He completely resolved our other issues.

The virus problem has not affected the PC since Altex worked on it, and the memory upgrade has greatly increased the speed of the computer. The technician at Altex answered all questions he was asked, and gave us a few pieces of advice on how to avoid virus infection in the future. We took the advice to heart and have been doing as he advised.

Altex Computers and Networking were very nice to us. They didn't charge us for the whole hour, so it was a very good deal. They got it working and we haven't had any problems with it since. They were very honest with us. That is hard to find these days.

It had become so bad, that the computer would not even start anymore. Our daughter told us about Altex and they were just as talented as she said. The computer was repaired to being fully functional, after it having only two days. We were given instruction on the new software, along with several hints and tricks to avoid this in the future. We learned more about computers in that one visit than ever before. The technician was very helpful to us and we have not had a virus problem since.
