About us

Our mission at Alder Construction has always been to go beyond expectations in service and quality. Alder Construction was started in 1980 by James Alder who had a desire for fine woodworking and construction through cabinet building in high school, architecture in college, and constructing adobe homes in New Mexico. Alder Construction has experienced all forms of construction including the Koala Bear exhibit and bird aviaries at the San Antonio Zoo to a 4000 square foot straw bale house. Our main focus has been in residential remodeling. Everything from small repair work to bathroom and kitchen remodeling, room additions, and complete home renovation. Through the years it has always been our goal to develop a reputation of personal service and quality craftsmanship. We believe that building relationships with our customers is the best marketing and in return has brought long term relationships and a fruitful business. Here at Alder Construction we have learned the ups and downs of high end remodeling and gathered the best craftsman available to complete your dream and go beyond your expectations.

Totally professional from the initial interview through design concepts to the completed project.
Description of Work: I personally contracted this very high end reconstruction company to design and produce a very unusual bi-tiered deck which had to ensure some of our treasured plantings. Very professional too the point where I recommended them to my very exclusive high end clients I rely on for real estate leads.

From start to finish they were more than cooperative, meticulous in their work and they came to work when they were supposed to. The workers were extremely clean, they cleaned up after each day. They asked for my satisfaction. My wife received a call from them, probably a follow up to see if we liked the work. I say that because they were so meticulous, why wouldn't you follow up.
Description of Work: Alder Construction removed old cabinetry and old tile, installed plumbing, cabinetry, manufactured a piece of cabinetry for my bathroom and referred me to a great electrician.

They were very clean and they did excellent work! I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done.
Description of Work: He remodeled our kitchen. He put in a new refrigerator and a new stove. He added some cabinets and installed a new countertop and back splashes.
