Alamow Lawns & Tree Service

Spent 30 minutes at my home. Very expensive, considering the cost was $400 before Angie's list.

WEll detailed work and the clean up after teh job was great.

The team from Alamow came out and after I gave them the job location and instructions, they went right to work and stopped at the 3 hour mark. I would have paid them the extra to finish cleaning out the area but they were focused and determined to do what the coupon directed. At the end of the day, I was very satisfied with what they did but only wish I would have worked out the details for the additional cleaning.

He and his team were prompt, and did a great job of removing the dead tree, including grinding it down to where I can get my push lawn mower over it. The problem is the additional tree trimming. They removed the big dead branches, but the next week, we had a wind storm and more branches fell down, so, obviously, he didn't get them all, and they continue to fall. When cleaning up, his team left 5 piles, each about a yard across when they left. While they did pick up most of the leaves, they left a lot for me to clean up. Also, when I ran my mower the next week, I found numerous large (3" or larger) pieces of tree branches left in the grass. None caused any injury, but they could have caused significant damage if the lawnmower hadn't shut down when encountering them.

They did the work in a timely manner and the cost was comparable to the work. I was pleased.

Wonder. They finished in a day.

It went as promised, Andy and his crew arrived on time and was gone by the time I came back in the late afternoon. The area was totally cleaned. Andy was very professional. I will be using him again.

It went pretty well for the most part. They were really quick and did everything we asked them to do. The only problem was that they left the clippings from our front hedges after trimming them.

I needed some brush, that I had cut up, hauled away before the 4th weekend. I put my dates in and they responded with the middle to the end of July. I called to make sure they couldn't do this in the time frame, and let them know I wouldn't need there services. I rented a trailer and hauled 3 loads to the dump.

They came out quickly after I purchased the Big Deal. They were on time and did a good job! I have no complaints.

They were professional and friendly but the estimate was to high.

Arrived as scheduled and gave estimate for additional $475 (had paid $249 for $500 trimming) which seemed fair since I had so much for them to do. Cut up and hauled all branches away. Looks good. Would use Andy again.

It was okay. They came back to do service but it wasn’t satisfactory at first. It took a couple of emails for them to respond. Then they came out and fixed it. I went with them because they had a deal on Angie’s List.

Initially I was not pleased with their work as I felt they hadn't cleaned the trees well enough. There were still too many moss balls and dead limbs remaining. However, I contacted them and they came back promptly and did a great job cleaning everything up.

Alamow Lawns & Tree Service gave an estimate that was more than double the amount of an estimate I received from another service provider I that had previously done this type of work for me. Due to the cost difference I decided not to hire Alamow Lawns & Tree Service for the work. The appointment for the estimate was for July 1, 2014 between 3:00 & 4:30pm. The representative for the company arrived between 45 minutes and one hour late for the appointment.

It went very poorly. They rescheduled appointment due to inclement weather (it was partly cloudy, mostly sunny when they called, probably overscheduled). Purchased an "angie's list special", about $200 for 2 workers for 1 1/2 hours. They literally spent the first 30 minutes messing with their equipment. I suggested to the veteran worker that the clock starts when they actually cut something; he stated that the clock started when "they pulled up and parked". Asked that the lantana be cut at ground level...they didn't.....asked that the small tree limbs be cut next to the main branch and that we would be able to walk under the branches.....they didn't....they did mow and did not screw that up....then when I went into the house to get my wallet to pay them when their time was up, they had driven off without being paid ??/!!!.........Overall......LOUSY

This company contacted me immediately to set up a meeting time. I wanted more work done than the deal that I purchased so they happily came out to give me a bid for the entire job. The team of four men showed up and had the entire project done in a little more than a day. There was a slight delay in communication after the initial bid; however, the company apologized and did a fantastic job on my property.

Had scheduling conflicts with the company, they went back and forth on times/days. He didn't show up on the day he said he would come out. Went ahead and found someone else to do this service.

They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves.

I just wanted "big deal." I did not want to haggle over price or amount of work needed. It appears "Big Deals" can turn into something much more expensive once you contact the contractor. After reading reviews I decided I did not want to bother with this project.

Alamow did a fantastic job. Andy was prompt and on time for our meeting and the actual work. He and his crew completed the work ahead of schedule and left the property as they found it. He cleaned up all branches, limbs, leaves, etc. from the roof as well as the ground. They ground the stumps out for the trees they removed. Several of the trees were very large and had multiple trunks that had grown together and around one another, resulting in an extremely challenging removal. He was able to complete the project despite the challenges. Andy and his crew trimmed and shaped 5 very large oak trees that had been neglected for years. He completed the work, including removing ball moss that pretty much covered the trees. Andy is knowledgeable of various types of trees and what is appropriate with regard to removing large branches and advised on how to accomplish this without damage to the trees. Andy's wife managed the scheduling of meetings and service and was quick to confirm appointments. She called ahead of time to confirm appointments and service and was very pleasant. We enjoyed working with everyone at Alamow and will definitely use their service again. We have referred several neighbors to Alamow for similar services.

He came out and gave an estimate of $675, it seemed like he was overcharging us so we didn't use his service.

I asked to have the dirt worked in the flower beds and please put an edge around the flower beds and they didn't do it. I was surprised when I was told that there would be a $40 charge to remove the trimmings from the bushes, I didn't have $40 on me at the time so I was told that I would be billed for it. Overall, I was not impressed with the work done,

The crew that came out was polite. the work that they did was done well, but they did not do what i asked them to do.They did what they wanted. I called and they said they would come back out and do what i had asked but never came.

They accomplished everything on my list. They did a very good job trimming one of my large bushes and installing 4 remaining pavers. I would have liked them to spend a little more time raking leaves and removing weeds but they got the majority removed. They said it would cost $40 more to remove the debris, so I decided to remove it myself. Overall, I was pleased with the service.
