I thought the price was a little high and he had quoted me $1200 for a larger one in the back yard. He did a good job but left a few limbs I ended up removing myself that were too low to the ground. I think it's better he cut less than cutting too much. All of the cuts were sprayed but it appears to be a thin layer. I would use the thicker tar made by Spectracide. All in all, he did a good job. I would hire again if I didn't have the time to do it myself.

They did a great job, finished before scheduled time and asked what else they could do including pointing out a few things they could do in the back yard. I ended up hiring them for weekly lawn service so I was obviously pleased with their work.

They showed up on time and performed all the work exactly as they had described. No complaints at all--great work.

Worked hard, but don't know native plants and have to be supervised, which we didn't have time for. Cut drip system. Several places and destroyed two lantana. I asked about natives ahead of time

Did what I needed. Came late, never followed up on estimate for another 1000 dollars at least of work. Repeated attempts with Andie led to no follow up. Either they can't keep up with demand or they are not motivated to gain more business.

All went well and they did a great job.

They were here for 4 hours with a 3 man crew - they were fast, efficient and did all that I asked them to do plus some extra work. They cleaned up the trimmings and hauled them off. I would use them again and recommend their services.

Very professional - very reasonablle -will definetly used in the future to trim and mulch the flower beds.

We purchased a big deal for the service and they did a very good job. They were fast, and neat. They did their job efficiently and it was done very well. I had trouble getting in touching with her, and getting call backs from her.

Andy and crew showed up a little earlier than expected. They did a great job! We will definitely remember them for the next time we need trees trimmed.

Great response. Purchased on Angie's Big Deal program for 8 man hours of yard work. They arrived on time and they left exactly on time. Work was great and thorough clean up afterwards. Worked fast, extremely courteous. I will use again and I highly recommend them. I would give them a AA if I could.

Did not show up for appointment. Finally showed up days later and weed whacked for 30 minutes. Left debris on walkway, driveway and street. Very spotty clean up at best. Had to argue with his wife in order to get him back for proper job. Better job second time but not worth the hassle. Will not use them again.

It was wonderful! We purchased a block of 3 man hours but found that we wanted more done. We were not home when the work happened but it went perfectly--exactly as we discussed. We're very happy with the results and would use the service again.

I ordered this Angie List "Big Deal" of 3 hours labor. We purchased and had delivered (from another company) 8 cubic yards of mulch to be spread in the front and back planting areas. We have a small area of lawn in the back so most of yard is planting beds with pathways. The beds were already mulched with some areas needing more added and other areas less. I told them the mulch was for the front and back and spread it as needed. There were two workers and they started in the front without looking at the back. After about 45 minutes I went out and reminded them that the mulch was needed in the back also. When I looked again after an hour they were still in the front and they had used more than half of the mulch. I went out and told them to stop and start on the back. I went into the back with them and directed where they should continue. There was only about 20 minutes left and I knew they were not going to get very much moved to the back (and most of the front was just small piles in different areas. One of the workers told me that they didn't realize how big the back yard was. That was because they never went back to look at it! I was very disappointed with their lack of listening to what I had hired them for. The worker responded that he was trying to do a "professional job" like they usually do. The mulch they were able to spread in the front was so thick that we had to move a lot of it. After their 1 1/2 hours they were packed up and asked if I wanted to pay them to finish moving a spreading the mulch. Of course I did not. We still had about 2 cubic yards of mulch to move to the back and I wish I had insisted that they started back there so we didn't end up having to move it ourselves. The only reason I didn't give them a worse score is that they did work continuously.

They trimmed the tree, dressed the cuts, removed the trimmings, and raked the loose trimmings in less that two hours. Excellent work! They will be back!

We initially had a slight issue with the scheduling. They were supposed to come late evening but could not make it because of an emergency lawn they had. We rescheduled and they came and performed the service. They did an excellent job and were very courteous to insure that I was pleased when they finished.

Alamow Lawns & Tree Service turned out very good. The removed all the branches I requested and some that they suggested to be removed and they cleaned up all the debris. It was an excellent job. Some of the delay was my fault due to medical problem I had so I had to cancel the initial appointment.

On time, professional, efficient and friendly

They trimmed, shapped, removed dead wood, filled a cavity on one tree that needed to be done and cleaned up while they were working. Did a good job and we were pleased. We will use them again in the future.

Paid the big deal 3 hours for $89.00. 3 people show up in a truck. So they said it was man hours, so since there were 3 people the 3 hours turn into 1 hour. There was one person professional who knew what he was doing. The other two were a waste of time. So I ended up paying another $40.00 to get the job done.

The service went well. The workers were punctual and even went a little over the one hour for three workers deal in order to clear all of the much overgrown front area as requested. They went ahead and cut back some of the growth in the rocky backyard area with a mower, too. Andy noticed damage to branches on our oak tree done by the mail delivery truck and offered to take care of it and he did. The workers cleaned up the walkways, drive, and porch areas. The lady working the phones was great with rescheduling during the period when we actually had rain here in San Antonio.

This was a major job. They had to cut a limbs, not just regular pruning. They did an excellent job. I actually contracted them to do additional work above and beyond the Big Deal. I feel like I would have spent $2000 for this work with a different company.
