We hired Bob King and his crew to do a complete home remodel and we would hire him again. He kept things within our budget, the work was neat and professional, and the huge project was completed in a reasonable time frame (it was even finished a few weeks earlier than we had anticipated). My husband and I didn’t live in our home during this massive remodel but we would come to the house several times a week to check out the work that was being done (it was easier to move in with the in-laws so that we would be out of the way of the work crew). Every time we came to the house, we noticed new work that was done, which means there were workers in our house almost every day. It’s hard to find a contractor that actually keeps things moving on your project when they have other projects happening at the same time, but Bob King was able to do this for us. We are so happy with the work that was done and will definitely be recommending Bob to family and friends!

Paige Construction exceeded my expectations. I tried to do my homework on Hardie Siding and the correct installation for Pella windows. I was a little paranoid about everything being done correctly. Our house was not the easiest of jobs and I wasn't the easiest person to work with. After calling references, I chose Paige Construction. Bob King's crew eased my fears by explaining the work they were doing and why. They were here Monday through Friday at 8 am sharp (or a little before); there was no sitting around wondering if they were going to come. My yard was kept clean of debris each and every day. They did a great job on our house. Bob even had some concrete work done that made our house look more appealing. Thank you Ace, Hector, Jorge, Louise, Raul, Bob, Terry, Roger, and Hermice. I'll probably think of someone else as soon as I submit this. BTW, the paint job turned out great!

The finished product came out very nice. The family is very happy and I will be sending more business Bobs way. I have read other reports about Bob's company and don't understand what they mean that he was not on top of or readily available. I had one issue where his guys knocked out our cable. Bob came over and had it fixed in know time. He was very informative and his guys were great! I left them alone in my house all week and never once thought an ill thought. They were very professional and were even kind enough to carry my childrens furniture upstairs for me when the wall was built. They were clean and very respectful of everyone in my household. I have already decided that I am going to build a deck in my backyard and use Paige Construction as my builder. I am on Bob's referral list as well for anyone that wants to call and ask questions. Thank you gents for the great job. Andrew Leas
Description of Work: We had a wall built in our upstairs playroom. Along with the wall we also had a closet built. This was done to give all 3 kids their own rooms. The wall was approximatley 15'6 in length and the closet roughly 3 1/2 by 5.

I hired Bob King and his company Paige Construction to remodel my kitchen. The finished work is beautiful and the envy of my neighbors. However I would not hire him again. We were quoted a three week project that turned into nine weeks. Bob has too many projects (residential and commercial) that spreads his crews thin. Most of our work was done by one person at a time...one person who framed, one person to complete the "demolition", one person to lay tile, one person to install cabinets (you get the idea), hence the nine weeks to complete. Bob is dabbling in commercial construction and devoted his manpower to building a Dollar General Store at the same time as my project. The impact to my remodel was little to no oversight. The saving grace for Bob and what kept me from going off the deep end with him was the professionalism of the one worker (Conrad) who completed about 80% of the tasks by himself. I did have to help him hang sheetrock on the ceiling, carry kitchen cabinets into the house, hang insulation in the joists, help hang the cabinets, and in general offer a helping hand where needed. I trusted Conrad implicitly in my house and after we established our friendship I felt comfortable leaving him alone for short periods. My advice to anybody considering Paige Construction or any other contractor: OBTAIN A CONTRACT with a penalty clause if the project is not completed on time. I can't believe I didn't have a contract for this project and won't do it again in the future. A remodeling contract often does not seem necessary at the outset when everyone is getting along well and there is much enthusiasm about the project but don't forget that Bob is only a salesman in the effort. Once the handshakes have cooled you must protect yourself in the event you take a contractor to court or have a sub-contractor sue you for non payment. Make sure your contractor is willing to give you an affidavit that all subs have been paid. You should also sign a waiver of lien, which releases you from any liability for subs and manufacturers. There are plenty of sample remodel contracts on the web...use one.
Description of Work: Kitchen extension/remodel. I have a fairly new home and wanted to enlarge the kitchen since it is the one place in our home where friends and family migrate to. We removed a non-load bearing wall separating the kitchen from our washer and dryer room. We opened up a load bearing wall by constructing an arch and retaining the structural integrity while adding dimension to the work area. Paige Construction also added a window to what was the laundry room and placed our counter and sink beneath it. We had a custom island that extended from the arch and placed granite on all the surfaces. New cabinets were added to the new wall that matched that existing cabinets. A small pantry room was sacrificed to custom mount the oven and refrigerator. Recessed lighting was added to the kitchen space and a new tile floor was added to the kitchen and adjoining family room. The original kitchen had brick masonry on the walls and the brick was continued to the new open area where the laundry room used to be.
