They did a really good job. I spent a lot of money having trees trimmed, and by far they did the best out of anybody. Very prompt. The people seemed very educated.

Excellent customer focus. Sam Sosa was very polite and helpful in deciding what to do with the treesin my yard. He did an excellent job shaping the trees. They look great now. He finished by grinding the stump of the tree he cut down. My wife and I were very impressed with the way he treated us and his work product. I recommended him to our next door neighbor and they were equally pleased.
Description of Work: Cut down a couple of trees and trimmed several other trees that had grown over the house or were generally overgrown.

We went with them because we saw them on Angie's List and they were really good. They were professional and got everything done in the time frame they said so it was good. I felt very comfortable because they were licensed and bonded. Their management system is very good so they were able to plan efficiently.
Description of Work: I used Alamo City Tree Conservation to trim all of the trees in my front and half of the trees I share with my neighbor.

Description of Work: Great Company!!! I was needing tree's cut back for roof clearance. From the time i called requesting a quote till the completion of the job, everything was done when it was promised. After the tree's were cut back they were nice enough to blow out my gutters, and you can't even tell tree's were cut, they cleaned up the backyard perfectly!!! i would highly recommend this company!!!!!!

They arrived at my home assessed the work needed gave me a call at my office. He began to described the scope of work which included completely removing a large tree on side of house (which I knew was dead). Also he would cleanup new growth on my nice oak in front yard, trim trees over driveway and tree limbs over detached garage and remove a hackberry tree up against the back of the house. I braced myself for the price....it was so reasonable I immediately told them to proceed with the work. They did an amazing job!!! While taking care of the bill I mentioned a palm tree in the front of my house which was overgrown and just plain ugly, I ask him how much extra to remove that tree and to my excitement & surprise he told me they would return the next day, take the tree down at no additional charge....WOW! I dealt with both Sam and Kyle (mostly Kyle) the were polite, professional, honest and just all around great to work with. I will be singing their praises to everyone I know who needs tree work. GOOD JOB ALAMO CITY TREE CONSERVATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Description of Work: My initial call was to have the trees which were in contact with my roof trimmed back (having roof replaced).

I don't know what was going on and I call them and he was doing some stuff in the neighborhood close by. To make the story short, he ended up doing services on my yard, he treated my tree, he climbed on that thing and he's got a team with him of course. I've lived in this house for 23 years and we don't have this kind of problem. This is the best job that's ever been cleaned out and done. My wife and I were both impressed with them, most specially with their staff, a guy named Kyle Railey. In fact, he's gonna be picking up strawberry and they would actually have that hauled off, all of that in a lower price. I paid more than that to get the job done.
Description of Work: I have a large oak tree in the front, it's been sick for about a year. I got the services of Alamo to treat my tree.

We have used another company's service for the last two years and have been very satisfied after finding them on Angie's List; I called that contractor to set up a time to come by and provide estimate and complete the job. Since he couldn't make it the day the limb fell, we had to wait one extra day. Since we live on a fairly highly traveled street, numerous other contractors stopped to ask if they could have the job; one of those contractors was the owner of Alamo City Tree Conservation. I figured I'd give him the option of providing me with an estimate and if he happened to be able to beat our normal tree company's bid, he could have the job. Within a matter of minutes, numerous trucks descended on our home each carrying four guys. I told the owner that he did not yet have the job, and I only wanted an estimate for the one fallen limb. He walked all over our front yard and said that ALL my trees needed to be cut to the ground. He told me that that would be the best price in town, "that he didn't need my money, that we was a millionaire living in the Dominion" (a high scale neighborhood in North San Antonio) I told him I was not interested in doing that and again said I only wanted an estimate for the one limb. He was VERY forceful and said all the trees must go. He quoted me a price of $6400; I told him that I needed to speak with my spouse, as we would be splitting any large cost like that. He told me to call my spouse at work and get approval. I told him I would not do it. He said he would not give me an estimate for the one limb, as all the trees needed to be removed. He continued to be very aggressive and wouldn't take no for an answer. At that point, he noticed that we lived close to some of his friends, and he said he'd give me a deal and knock the price down to $4500. I told him that if he did not want to provide an estimate for the one limb, he could leave. At that point, he turned on his heel and said to his guys that "I don't need this#@*" and walked to his truck. I have never been so disrespected in my own home. I would never recommend this man, or his company to ANYONE! The company name is Alamo City Tree Conservation . . . he didn't want to conserve a single tree on my lot. It's a scam! Needless to say, my normal tree guy came, completed the job, and inspected the other trees. He said all of the trees were in good shape, and just needed some dead branches to be removed. Now THAT'S conservation! Just an update . . . the owner of this company came by my home (a fact I'm not too pleased with), and wanted to talk to me about my review. He stated that he was the owner of the company, and although he knows the person that I had dealings with, the person that represented himself as the owner of the company, was in fact, not. Sam admitted that he was present the day I had my initial contact with the company, and was in one of the many trucks that pulled up to the curb outside of my home, but he was not in fact the person I spoke to in my front yard. He stated that the man I spoke with is someone that he had worked with in the past, although he has no ties anymore to Alamo City Tree Conservation and now heads a company called Lone Star Tree Conservation. Sam Sosa, the man who stopped by my house, is in fact the owner and apologized for my previous experience. Sam stated that he has tried to track down the man that is purporting to be the owner of Alamo City Tree Conservation, but has not had any luck. I told Sam that I was sorry that there was a negative review, but that the first man I dealt with identified himself as owning Alamo City Tree Conservation, and I reviewed accordingly. I do feel sorry for Sam, as he seems like an honest man, and I know this is his livelihood, but I was VERY uncomfortable with him coming by my home unannounced. I do understand that he wanted to look me in the eye and let me know that HE was in fact the owner, but a phone call, letter, or email would've sufficed. If you do call Alamo City Tree Conservation, make sure that it is Sam Sosa that you deal with, and no one else. I will change my grade of this company from an F to a C in order to help Sam out. Again, it should go without saying that stopping by someone's house unannounced is not a good option. I wish Sam all the luck in tracking this man down and reporting him. I did tell him that I would gladly speak with the BBB or Angie's List to help him in any way I can.
Description of Work: After a stormy night, we awoke to a large limb that had fallen from our tree and was laying in our front yard. We were looking to have the limb cut clean and hauled away.
