Excellent work and knowledge

We tried to contact him prior to him performing the job, but did not hear from him right away. Later he stated he does not carry his cell phone and only checks messages/returns calls once is done with a job. We thought it was odd, but nothing else. He came out and met up with my husband and they both went over what all would be trimmed/cut etc. and my husband thought $1200 for 16 full size oak trees was a great deal! He told my husband it would be a 2 day job since he worked alone. We decided to give him the job, but initially, my husband requested he only do 1/2 the job for $600. When we got home about 1900 on 20 May, he was wrapping up for the day. I noticed lots of twigs, leaves and moss all over the front yard and driveway. My husband who had been there before me noticed not all he has agreed to do had been done. My husband assumed it was because he had not given him the entire job, so he decided to ask him to finish off the job @ the agreed price of $1200. He told him he could clean up the debris the following day. My husband and I both worked late on the 21st so we did not get there before he was done for the day, it was dark by the time we got home but still noticed the debris was on the front yard and drive way. We thought he'd be returning the following day to clean up. At 230, Mr. Hermes called us to let us know he was finished and wanted his check the following day. My husband told him to come by the house in the morning and pick it up. We were upset that he'd called so late. Before we left the house, we noticed there was even more debris in the back yard and lots of twigs, branches, leaves, and moss on the roof. My husband called Mr. Hermes and told him he was not happy with the end result and asked if he could please go back and clean up. He stated the roof already had debris on it and that he was done with the job and had even "given" us an "extra" 2 hours of work. He was the one who underestimated the amount of work and overcharged for leaving debris everywhere on our property. On top of all that, his flat rate of $1200 all of a sudden turned into more when he tagged on sales tax. We will never refer this person to anyone. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. He took $1200 + and did not look back.

Alamo City Tree Care was great. They will really work with you. They were trustworthy and they cared about the job that they did. They showed up and got right to work. They knew what needed to be done. They did an excellent job of cleaning up. They even cleaned up some clutter and litter out of my yard for me. They charged me way less than I'd expected to pay.
