Aladdin Cleaning & Restoration

They did a very good job at a very reasonable price. I had checked some other places and their prices were better. I did have to take the rugs to them but they were small oriental rugs. They will pick up larger rugs but they charge a fee to do that for gas, etc. I was able to fit my rugs in my car. My neighbor had recommended them because she had used them. They are very informative when you call and they are very friendly. The rugs are wrapped when you pick them up. I asked them to unwrap them so I could see if they were mine and how they looked. They did that and then they wrapped them back up. I was also having a rug done for my daughter so they wrapped it for shipping and didn?t charge me for that. I have some room size rugs that I am going to have them do.

It was an excellent experience. I had never had air ducts cleaned so didn't know what to expect. I would definitely call Aladdin again.

The service technician showed up for the original service call on time. Dryer duct cleaning is best performed from the roof end of the duct down to the laundry room. This ensures that the cap on the vent is cleaned and all of the lint is removed (also prevents lint from continuing to down into the vent in the laundry room). The technician performed the cleaning from the laundry room up to the roof. He said that he was finished but did not go to the roof to remove the cap on the duct and move the trapped lint in the duct. The lint is visible in the vent cap when viewed from the street. When we asked he reluctantly admitted that he did not have anyone to assist him while he climbed to the roof. He said that he would have to reschedule for the following Monday morning at 8:15am. On Monday morning shortly before the scheduled call he called to say that he would not be able to come and that he would call back to set up another service call. To date (11/7/10) we have not received a call to finish the service, although they have sent us a bill for service. Very disappointing. Would NOT recommend this company for the New Braunfels area (it was a satellite office that handled the call). 11/15/10 UPDATE: After submitting the report to Angie's list I received a call from the President of the company who wanted to rectify the situation. We received a follow up phone call from the VP of operations who scheduled a time to finish the service. They showed up on time and did a very good job of finishing the duct cleaning. They related to me that the tech that provided the original service could not have finished the job as his equipment did not reach all the way to the roof and apologized for our experience with him.. They completely cleaned the duct from outside down and inside up. They also cleaned up after themselves. Alladin offered profuse apologies and did not charge me for either service call. I cannot rate them as an "A" because of the initial experience but will update the rating from an initial "F".

Called for estimate, dropped rug off, picked it up on promised delivery date. Examined work and found it excedllent.

Had poor experience with Aladdin, which is the leading company on Angie's List according to several others' experiences. Scheduled air duct cleaning for Oct 5, 2010 at 9:00 am. They called at 8:45 am and told me they couldn't make it until 11:00 am. I agreed. At 11:15 am, they called and told me they were running late, and they would be at my home at 12:30 pm. I agreed. They showed up 45 minutes late. I have a two-story home and wanted the upper story ductwork cleaned. Very nice technicians. They had just gotten a new HEPA vacuum system and, according to the technician, it is physically too large to get into the house through the front door! So, they laid out their large hoses in the driveway, and found that they were one hose too short. So, we agreed to reschedule for Thursday, Oct 8, 2010 at noon. That same day, about two hours after they left, they called and asked if they could come to my home with all of their hoses that afternoon. Since I was out running errands (that I had delayed due to their scheduling delays), I asked that they still would come on Thursday at noon, as we had agreed. Well, they never showed. On Thursday at 1:30 pm, I called their office and asked why they had not shown up. The receptionist called me back and told me that they had forgotten the appointment and had not coordinated with the scheduler in the home office. They then wanted another appointment with me, but I had had enough. Will go elsewhere. Again, very nice people -- but TERRIBLE processes! If you have a tight schedule and cannot abide multiple delays, I would go elsewhere.

This was a rental property and the previous tenants had not changed the air filter in probably over a year! I had contractors working on painting and needed the air ducts cleaned as soon as the contractors were finished. I couldn't even show the property for rent until it was back into good shape.The guys from Aladdin, worked around my schedule, showed up when promised (on a Saturday too). Were professional, efficient, did a great job and in a timely fashion. I would highly reccommend them and plan on using them at my home soon.

Set an appointment immediately. Unfortunately, we had terrible rains and they had to reschedule, which wasn't a problem for me. I had told them I HAD to have the cat to the vet by 11 am. They were over an hour late for the appointment, which had me extremely nervous and upset.This was after they had called and said they would be there at the appointed time. Ultimately, they did finish on time and did an excellent job. I was getting ready to have the "popcorn" removed from my ceiling and they suggested storing the vents until the ceiling was finished. I would have never thought of that, so was appreciative. Except for the very late arrival, they were polite, professional and did a good job.

We were very happy with the service and the price. Aladdin was over $200 cheaper than our other estimate from a highly-rated company on Angie's List. Because of the professionalism of Bob and his helper, we decided to have the carpets treated while they were here. That accounted for $140 of the total cost. We were extremely satisfied with the work and will hire them next time we need the carpet or air ducts cleaned.

They came out, cleaned the ducts and cleaned up after themselves. They did a pretty good job as far as we can tell. The quality of their service was good. They were quite responsive - we only waited a few days after we had talked with them. They were speedy and were here when they said they would. They had shirts that identified them. I can?t think of anything off the cuff that we were dissatisfied with. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

It was wonderful! The two technicians, Chris and Joesph, arrived on time, explained the procedure to me, I agreed to the price, they went to work, and worked for two hours. They were very professional. They cleaned up after their work. They were very pleasant and helpful. They protected my furniture with plastic covering. I would definitely call them again.

The experience was good. The gentleman was very polite. I left him to do his work. He locked up the house and when I came home the carpet was cleaned. I checked to make sure their employees were bonded first and they were.

I was very pleased. The two young men arrived when expected and were very courteous and professional. They completed the job in approximately 30 minutes and cleaned up after themselves.

I was very satisfied as was my son who promptly started doing two weeks' worth of his laundry, including a huge washer load which he transferred to the dryer all in one batch (I had had to split the loads from the washer to the dryer and then run it twice to get the clothes dry and it was overheating). His clothes were dry after one cycle and no more overheating.

I was very satisfied with the work. They found the problem when the A/C company couldn't and went to a lot of trouble to get a cover off a box that contained the ductwork. The screws had been painted over and were difficult to remove, but the men cheerfully did the work, which was not really within the scope of their job. My only complaint was that I was quoted $120 minus a 10 percent Angie's List discount over the phone, but when the men arrived they said they had been told to tell me the minimum charge was $150 and it didn't qualify for the discount. The woman on the phone should have known the policy.

They scheduled me quickly and got it done very fast. They did the job right and I was satisfied with the work. I thought that the pricing was reasonable and I would recommend them to others.

Showed up early, job was completed with 1.5 hours. Excellent work, carpet looked like new. I'd recommend vacuuming in advance for best results.

They came out right on time and told me I didn't need all the work I thought was needed. They were really good and cleaned up after themselves and took a look before they did the work to make sure what was needed.

Two technicians arrived at 0900 and counted vents and gave us the estimate. We agreed and they proceeded with the task. All vents were cleaned vent covers were all taken outside and cleaned and made to look like new. Technicians covered all furniture with plastic drop cloth and when work was completed, vacuumed all remaining residue.
